Thanks Jon.

They had the shot on hand, but no expertise on administering it. Blew out
a vein in my left arm so its a mess but should heal in the ultra slow DM-
II healing process. And I'm pissing off about 5 lbs a day from my
ballooned legs. So sleep comes in short pieces yet. Thats why I'm up at
3:22.

The general consensus is that the nurses on some of my other lists, have
never heard of anyone surviving a PE event. That makes me a rare bird
indeed.

I keep telling myself he isn't ready for me yet. Sounds good anyway. :)

So I intend to stick around for a while yet, pestering you kind folks with
new bee questions.

I compiled mesaflash from given git link. It does find and work
 with 5i24, but can't find 7i90hd.

I want to use one 7i33 and gpio, thus I think epp_sv_12 can be
used. I don't need uarts for now.

Yes it was shipped with this firmware.

What firmware do you want on the 7I90?

I would first flash the 7I90 with the desired firmware (using the latest
 version of mesaflash)

 https://github.com/micges/mesaflash

The firmware with the UART has a bug, (this is do to the fact that all the
7I90 firmware is built with a script and the script does not fix the strides
 properly for the UART)

If the 7I90 was shipped with that firmware, thats definately a mistake

If you need firmware with a UART I will patch the bitfiles containing UARTs
But note that currently due to limitations in the IDROM format it is not
possible to combine UARTs with SSerial or BSPI. It may be that for now (until
IDROM V4) that the HM2 driver needs to be patched so that if a UART is fount
it uses hardwired stride, with maybe a complaint rather than and abort

And I got rid of another 5 lbs of water overnight. :) Another 10 lbs and

Interestingly, they didn't give me any metformin/glucophage for my sugar.
They did 3 finger sticks a day, and if I was too sweet, defined as over

Lots of people survive minor pulmonary embolisms. Sometimes

area in the lungs
is detected on a chest X-ray. I know a couple other people
who have had
somewhat larger PE's, and survived (not larger than yours,
larger than
the ones that go undetected. They had shortness of breath
and went to
the ER, and it was treated as yours was.) If the embolism
blocks off the
pulmonary artery to one whole lung, then the chance to survive
drops a lot. If it completely blocks the artery, you're
dead before you
hit the floor.

So, it is all a matter of degrees as to how large the
blockage is.
But, sounds like yours must have been very far up on the
scale of
blockages that can be survived. And, of course, the RIGHT
treatment
in time is critical!

just flexible enough to let it slip a few teeth. If its under cutting
load, thats instantly a burned up pulley on the jackshaft.

 I
hope you're up and at 'em soon, Gene. I've always found your posts
endlessly entertaining and useful as I follow your progress. Without
your unique posts this list would be greatly diminished .

What a nice thing to say, thank you Greg. And even if you are laughing at
me, at least you laughed. :)

While I doubt if I'll be making swarf in the next week, the deck on the
shop is a nice place to get ones vitamin D, and has a comfy chair, so I
ran the update-manager on both machines while I was sitting there
yesterday around noon, nursing a cuppa our real coffee. I asked the cooks
at Ruby why, when they make at least 100 gallons of coffee a day, why it
wasn't coffee. No answer.

Where I got forcibly stopped, is rigging some limit switches to detect the
end of the screw as it approaches the ball nut stop it from dropping all
those balls in the dirt. Once thats done, then tip it up to get at the
nut holding screws change the whole thing out. But I don't know as I'd
trust me to handle the weight of the tables just yet. That is the big
base and table kit from LMS.

Two projects to do as soon as I feel like it, the rider needs to be fired
up, as the front yard is about 5 high, and the light switch for the
ceiling lights in my bedroom has picked the last 2 weeks to slowly expire.
Switches I have, I just need to go round one up, along with the right
sized screwdriver. I buy those things in contractor 10 packs. Goes with
owning the place free clear for quite a few years.

The grass may be a little higher yet before I fork that old 38 Craftsman.
Pushing 30yo, its getting hard to shift, the drive must be fully unloaded.

But I still am, and have been told that heart wise I am as good as new
once the right side of my heart shrinks back to more or less normal. They
spent at least an hour watching it on the ultrasound screen 2 days later.
So thats encouraging.

Cheers Greg, Gene Heskett

is detected on a chest X-ray. I know a couple other people
 who have had
somewhat larger PE's, and survived (not larger than yours,

the ones that go undetected. They had shortness of breath

the ER, and it was treated as yours was.) If the embolism
 blocks off the

drops a lot. If it completely blocks the artery, you're

So, it is all a matter of degrees as to how large the

Gene,

Glad you are doing better.

That is quite a scare.

My Dad had a pulmonary embolism also after some prostate surgery about
10 years ago. He was recovering from the surgery and still in the
hospital when it happened. It took him a little while to recover fully
but he is still around causing trouble for my Mom at 83.He also has
type II Diabetes.

Its crazy, but after he got past the embolism, and then two shoulder
surgeries (due to two falls, one off a step ladder and another while
snow blowing this past winter) he is actually healthier than he was when
he was in his 70's.

You will adapt to that Coumaden blood thinner. My Aunt took it for
years after having a heart valve replaced and she was a farmer.
It never slowed her down at all.

No, Gene, I never laugh at you. I just chuckle at your great stories and
colorful descriptions. You remind me a lot of my Uncle Phil, an old navy
buddy of my dad's. Like you he was a broadcast engineer at a small town radio
station here in MO. Though he never finished high school he was very well read
and a real wizard of electronics. He was always taking old junk , electronic or
mechanical and repurposing it to make all manner of useful gadgets.
Phil could knowledgeably discuss nearly any subject and express himself in the
most colorful language. Being an old sailor it was suitably salty, of course,
but even my rather prudish mom admired his creative use of swear words. As a
young lad I would sneak out of bed to listen in on his  conversations with my
dad, thinking Phil was the smartest man I ever knew (and maybe he was).

  yes there is changing numbers

 That's a good start.

when potentiometer in max position number -0.97
and when it in min position number -0.78

 But those are strange numbers.

also yes number constantly changing from 3rd figures to back.
i understand that scale number is important - right now -as an example
 it
  is
  12345

 Try -100.

Something here isn't making sense. the THCAD ought to be linear.

If you connect a voltmeter to the THCAD inputs, what do you see?

I don't see how 20% and 0.78 - 0.79 are the same thing. That sounds like 0.012%

If that is the voltage at the summing junction, its entirely believable.

And in my experience feeding the summing junction direct, is a huge source
of non-linearity in control. I have gained usable linearity by feeding
the pwm to analog voltage into the motor controller thru a 100k ohm
resistor.

I of course do not have any experience with the THC card, so could be way
off base. Just throwing it out to see if it sticks. ;-)

The first thing you should do is explain if this potentiometer is
going to be the control in the final system, or if it is just there
for testing.

Then you should check that the voltage on the actual TCHCAD input
terminals is what you are saying it is. I am not going to reply on
this thread any more until you explicitly state that you have put a
voltmeter on the terminals and have read 0V and 5V.
