Re: [Audyssey] Playing tips for MLB 2007 the show?

2009-06-28 Thread Ryan Conroy
Square can be used for a power swing in all modes except rookie. So, if you
want to use the power swing, you have to change the dificulty setting.
There is no auto fielding mode in online play which sucks. I wrote to Sony,
asking them if they'd add an auto fielding option in MLB 2010.
As for changing the pitch speed, this is not necessary, but you do want to set
pitching mode to classic, not meter.

[Audyssey] Blind Pilots Project: Collaborative Writing?

2009-06-28 Thread Harun
Does anyone know of an accessible online service that we could use to write and
share documents? I tried Google Docs, but a friend told me it wasn't
accessible. I'd like to start outlining a text version of the BPP and FS
movements. Software, problems, setup, etc, so people could add new things, or
get an overview in one location.

[Audyssey] thoughts on permanant home for bpp audio

2009-06-28 Thread alex wallis

Hi list.
I am writing to get peoples thoughts on hosting the audio for the blind
pilots project.

I have just finished downloading all the reuploaded files.
Now a few days ago I offered to host all the audio for the bpp on my
permanant send space max account, to avoid having to reupload files. this
offer still stands.

I will also host new files as and when they become available.
however I have downloaded all the files, and I was wondering do we really
need a lot of the older files particularly ones that relate to fs2002,
manual take offs and manual landings.
the reason I say this is because now that we have established fs2004 seems
to be the way to go, and we also have IYP I think a new comer to all these
files could very easily get confused.
so my suggestion is to discard all the files that are not IYP related and
also the ones that are fs2002 related so that it is clear what a new comer
to the bpp should be listening to.
of course I am only going to be the maintainer, so if the community feels
that these older files should be hosted I will of course do so, but I really
feel for the sake of clarity fs2002 files and anything that is not to do
with IYP should go.
what do people think? once I have had peoples thoughts I will then upload
them into a folder on my send space max account accordingly and then post a
link to be placed on the blog.
I think an entry on the blog should be posted for those who's jaws is being
messed up when they load fs2004 so they no how to fix it.
the solution I outlined a few days ago should be followed even once you have
got rid of the dll if your jaws is still breaking when you load fs2004.

The old FS2002 files are for nostalgia, you could say, or a history of the

Re: [Audyssey] Blind Pilots Project: Around the World in a Douglas DC-3

2009-06-28 Thread Zachary Kline
Hi,
Alternatively, we can ask the developer of Itsyourplane for some help.
He seems a friendly, approachable fellow. Worst case, there may be
another FMS we can use when we know a visual approach is required.
On another note, correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember from my FS
Navigator days that it was possible to adjust the navigation 1
frequencies in one of those edit boxes. I'm just curious: wouldn't that
have worked for the ILS approach as well?
Thanks,
Zack.

Hey, Zack.

FSNav does support ILS Approach mode, but I've watched a plane land itself on a
full visual approach.
When you set an autoroute to a visual airport, the program does some math to
figure out the correct altitudes and descent rates.

them into a folder on my send space max account accordingly and then post

a link to be placed on the blog.
I think an entry on the blog should be posted for those who's jaws is
being messed up when they load fs2004 so they no how to fix it.
the solution I outlined a few days ago should be followed even once you
have got rid of the dll if your jaws is still breaking when you load

the developer seems extremely keen to help, if someone can outline exactly
what the issues are I am sure he might do his best to add support to address

he even gave me a headset recommendation the other day as he was curious why
I haven't tried IYP yet, so I explained to him I needed a new headset and
that often manufacturers sites don't give enough of a description, and he

I was also talking to him about edit fields in the IYP registration box not

Subject: [Audyssey] thoughts on permanant home for bpp audio

I will also host new files as and when they become available.
however I have downloaded all the files, and I was wondering do we really
need a lot of the older files particularly ones that relate to fs2002,
manual take offs and manual landings.
the reason I say this is because now that we have established fs2004 seems
to be the way to go, and we also have IYP I think a new comer to all these
files could very easily get confused.
so my suggestion is to discard all the files that are not IYP related and
also the ones that are fs2002 related so that it is clear what a new comer
to the bpp should be listening to.
of course I am only going to be the maintainer, so if the community feels
that these older files should be hosted I will of course do so, but I
really feel for the sake of clarity fs2002 files and anything that is not
to do with IYP should go.
what do people think? once I have had peoples thoughts I will then upload
them into a folder on my send space max account accordingly and then post

Subject: [Audyssey] thoughts on permanant home for bpp audio

I will also host new files as and when they become available.
however I have downloaded all the files, and I was wondering do we really

need a lot of the older files particularly ones that relate to fs2002,
manual take offs and manual landings.
the reason I say this is because now that we have established fs2004
seems to be the way to go, and we also have IYP I think a new comer to
all these files could very easily get confused.
so my suggestion is to discard all the files that are not IYP related and

also the ones that are fs2002 related so that it is clear what a new
comer to the bpp should be listening to.
of course I am only going to be the maintainer, so if the community feels

that these older files should be hosted I will of course do so, but I
really feel for the sake of clarity fs2002 files and anything that is not

to do with IYP should go.
what do people think? once I have had peoples thoughts I will then upload

them into a folder on my send space max account accordingly and then post

a link to be placed on the blog.
I think an entry on the blog should be posted for those who's jaws is
being messed up when they load fs2004 so they no how to fix it.
the solution I outlined a few days ago should be followed even once you
have got rid of the dll if your jaws is still breaking when you load
 fs2004.

fs04 is like 70 here in nz, fsx is like 100 the more accessible and cheaper
option is 04, although I do have fs2002 but its not futurproofed.

a better way I see it is make a g cast account. not only you'll be
able to have a permanent host but you'll have a podcast feed so people

I will also host new files as and when they become available.
however I have downloaded all the files, and I was wondering do we
 really

need a lot of the older files particularly ones that relate to fs2002,
manual take offs and manual landings.
the reason I say this is because now that we have established fs2004
seems to be the way to go, and we also have IYP I think a new comer to
all these files could very easily get confused.
so my suggestion is to discard all the files that are not IYP related
 and

also the ones that are fs2002 related so that it is clear what a new
comer to the bpp should be listening to.
of course I am only going to be the maintainer, so if the community
 feels

that these older files should be hosted I will of course do so, but I
really feel for the sake of clarity fs2002 files and anything that is
 not

to do with IYP should go.
what do people think? once I have had peoples thoughts I will then
 upload

them into a folder on my send space max account accordingly and then
 post

a link to be placed on the blog.
I think an entry on the blog should be posted for those who's jaws is
being messed up when they load fs2004 so they no how to fix it.
the solution I outlined a few days ago should be followed even once you
have got rid of the dll if your jaws is still breaking when you load
 fs2004.

[Audyssey] Monster Breeder Stuff

2009-06-28 Thread Shadow Dragon
For those interested in monster breeders, here's an email I just got from
the dev today. He's definitely willing to go the extra mile it seems to
allow us to play his game, and to me, that's awesome.

Hey Dragon, glad to see you're still with us. About the quest
coordinates - I completely forgot! I'm so sorry, I feel so insensitive.
I've put it on my (very small) to-do list today and you can go to the
top of the page while exploring to see it, but only if you have blind
support on. Pretty much I don't want to spoil everything for everyone,
but obviously I can make an exception for the blind.

I'm going to put some alt texts on the skills.

Re: [Audyssey] Monster Breeder Stuff

2009-06-28 Thread dark
i've been mentioning things to the dev on the in game forum including map
text, and he's being incredibly cooperative and friendly about them,
which is great!

I'd certainly encourage people to try this one out, sinse the developer is
so access orientated.

Also, I do approve of the fact that the game is everything whic I wanted
from muelsfell rise of the golems, without the bad constant enforced pvp.

Beware the Grue!

Ok
As far as the blind pilots project files, we don’t need those.
Haron and John are refuring people to my podcast, wich is still on sendspace.
I am going to put it on my site soon so it can stay up and
downloadable without a timelimit.
But if you wouldn’t mind sticking the podcast on your sendspace max
account, that would be great!
For all who were having problems finding itsyourplane, the url is below.

Hey Liam,
It's about time I've heard of another accessible Wii game. I missed your
stream but I'll check out this one. Any other suggestions for accessible
Wii games? By the way, Wii fit is pretty cool, especially the hoola hoop,
the ski jump, and most especially the tightrope. There is also a game where
you sit on the board and meditate, and a flame appears on the screen. The
more you move around, the more shaky the flame gets until... Well you can
hear the results, and then the narrator says cut, and it's over.

Do you live near Sandusky Ohio, or are you planning a trip to Cedar Point?

Punch out so far I think is the best game, especially if you don't midn
memorizing patterns. Will broadcast Tuesday so long as this flu breaks.
