Re: [Audyssey] trouble trying to get to the church in swamp

2012-05-04 Thread Richard Sherman
HI,

There is 2 ways to get to the church. You can go south to kerrigan and cross
the bridge. There is also a beacon for the bridge you can use. Then turn
north after you cross or go to indy then turn north.

The other way is to cross the creek at the shallow part. If you are on the
safe zone side of the creek, go to 65Y. When you hit the creek, it should
say shallow part. you can also use your radar for this to find it easily.
About half way across, you will not be able to go any further, side step to
the left a few times and finish crossing. I usually just keep my finger down
on moving forward and side step left until I proceed ahead.

If you are on the factory side of the creek, you will need to be at 63Y.
Repeat side stepping left and you will finish crossing.

HTH.

Thank god for the weapons file. As far as the m40 goes, I just
noticed it about five minutes ago on custom, thought it was neat

From: Jeremy Kaldobsky Version 2.3 has been posted. This will address many bugs and
will also finally get the sounds back to what they were supposed
to be for the past few versions.

www.kaldobsky.com/audiogames/Swamp.zip

Changes from version 2.2 to 2.3
-

- Fixed a bug with zombie footstep sounds that was affecting some
people.
- Fixed the invisible zombies that had started showing up in
missions and in the safe zone. This was a bug with some new code
added in 2.1.
- Fixed a bug affecting the sounds for players with sprained
ankles or broken legs.
- Corrected the broken beacon which marked the "Opening through
the floor" in map 2. The location of the beacon was in the wrong
place.
- The voice command requesting a medic no longer needs Shift to
be held down.
- The voice command stating "mission complete" no longer needs
shift to be held down.
- Correct a file name mistake that was causing the Shortbow's
reload sound not to play.
- Adjusted some of the weapon firing code to improve performance
on slower computers.
- Picking up .30 calibur ammo now gives a more descriptive
message.
- Fixed a bug which affected the sound of the M40 bullet
impacting a zombie.
- Removed the ability for people to alter their progress.ini file
to use invalid voices.
- While in a last man standing mission you can press shift + Q to
hear how much time you have remaining.
- Playing offline practice maps now correctly start you out with
.30 calibur ammo.

- Fixed the pesky reputation bug that popped up in version 2.1.
- Fixed the bug which stopped some people from passing between
maps.
- We are now back to using the correct sounds. For the past 2
versions I was using outdated sounds because my main folder had
been overwritten and I hadn't noticed.
- Weaponspecs.txt file added (written by Kai). This gives
detailed stats on the various weapons.

Re: [Audyssey] Inquiry on Inspector Cyndi games

2012-05-04 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Michael,

What questions you ask and find important and unimportant is a
judgment call. When you play the game there is a dialog that pops up
and you are prompted to ask certain questions. You will find ifyou ask
one character something that relates to another character you can go
back to the prior character and get more information on that subject.
However, the only way to know if a question is important or not is by
asking them.

Cheers!

[Audyssey] Inquiry on Inspector Cyndi games

2012-05-04 Thread Eleanor Robinson

Hi gamers

The reason we stopped the demos was when we updated it to the SAPI voice
we ran into some changes that had to be made to continue the demos.
Some of the more knotty tech support problems were associated with the
demos as well. So we decided to put them online. The problem is that
we have a very narrow bandwidth and so far new development has bumped
redoing the demos. It is still on the drawing boards, but we really
want to work on iPhone and iPad games, as well as finishing the ones we
have already started.

Dark and others are right that the games do have the same outcome. But
the scoring is based on correctness and efficiency. So there is
re-playability. Each story is different, but shares some characters.
You are the detective who solves the case.

One Inspector Cyndi game comes with the Perception GameBook, along with
a Tyler Game, a Woople game and two Woops games, for a total of 5 games.

when you are down to 8 percent health and you are several clicks from

up in the other safe zone in the cop shop, i actually prefer this sz
as ther are a lot more items to choose from in the inventory menu,
however, how do i get back to map 1? cracking game now you have ironed

If something needs my attention, I simply park my character in a safe place.

There are several besides the safe zone, none totaly safe--but safe enough.
I personally like the system the way it is now. No pausing means that menu
mode can be entered during missions again too, which is nice.

Hi Paulette,

The Inspector Cindy games are a series of games by 7-128 that are
similar to the game Clue. You are a Detective who has to go around
asking various characters questions, and based on the evidence gathered
figure out who committed the crime.

All of the games produced by 7-128 run on Windows, and several are
accessible through there Perceptions Edition of their Gamebook.

Cheers!

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considers
not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine
eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then
shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Re: [Audyssey] Inquirie on Inspector Cindy mystery games.

2012-05-04 Thread dark

Hi Michael.

Because each case is it's own distinct story, the outcome is always the
same, making the inspector cindy games closer to interactive fiction or
gamebooks.

Nevertheless, the games aren't short, and have lots of music and audio, thus
are worth a replay from that perspective, especially considdering that
they're comparatively cheap as audio games go.

Hey, I was wondering if the games are randomize each time you solve the
case?

Or is the out come the same?
For exsample if I was to play the games right now and then play them a
later time will the same person be the one who did the crime or does the
suspects changes?

I agree. I believe they removed their demos because they were planning on
replacing them with some on site ones, but it's just not happened which
means there is no way to try the games out currently, which is in fact a
shame.

I actually suggest you contact them about this, unless of course they
respond on list, sinse it is a shame if people do not play their games due
to lack of demos, and they did! used to have demos available.

No demos? So you can't try them out before purchasing them? I was
considering buying some but not if I can't see if I like them first. That
isn't right.

Hi paulette.

the inspector cindy games are mystery gamebook style games set in the
1890's, from 7-128.com, and are indeed fun, though they play with sapi,
they

have lots of music and sounds as well plus video clips of inspector cindy
herself.

Feel free to check them out, though sadly i don't think 7-128 have the
demo

versions to try out anymore, which is a little bit sad.

Beware the grue!

them

on a pc? Thanks.

Hi Micahel.

You can get the games
http://www.7128.com/getgames.html#inspectorCyndiGames
there did used to e mach versions, and indeed demos of the games, but
while

I know 7-128 were revamping their demo system, I'm not sure what the heck
has happened to the mach versions (you might want to contact them about
that).

other than that though, I have played the games and they work well, at
least

they do using a decent sapi voice.

the inspector cindy games are rather close to gamebooks in the mystery
genre, but with full sounds for each location and fairly extensive audio
dialogue. I also rater like the way you arrive at a solution by gathering
information and then submitting it, rather than the books being forced to
a

set end.

Definitely fun, it's just a shame the demos and mach version aren't quite
as

obvius as they used to be.

all the best,

dark.
