Hi Charles. The chain saw sounds like a rapidly going mota until you pick it up, sort of like a car engine idling or a road drill. Then, when you duck down and grab it you'll here the chainsaw making it's usual sound as it activates, at that point you can run along sawing through barrels. Beware the grue! Hi Charles, I am pretty sure that you will know the chainsaw when you hear it. It is a chainsaw sound, that is a small gas powered engine. And yes you are hearing a woodpecker, a peacock, an elephant and a lion that you are running passed as the jungle and jungle drums are in the background. The reason I say that is I naturally went for the keyboard commands looking for the keyboard command to pick up the chainsaw and it wasn't there. It didn't occure to me to check the hints section, because I didn't want any spoilers or hints that might give away the game play. When you say hint that could also be another term for spoiler so my logic was to avoid it until people said the answer was there. Maybe calling the sections tips rather than hints might be less confusing. Cheers! Hi Hayden, You just turn towards the projectiles and fire when they are centered. Otherwise they will knock you out. I thought that level 3 was easy. Instead of having the pit there why not put in a tree or some other large obstruction Homer runs into, that won't kill him, and the first-time player can turn around and go the other direction? Hi Jim, Yeah, I read that in the game instructions. I think you should clarify or specify in the keyboard commands section shift duck/pick up objects. [Audyssey] Getting the Chainsaw in Awesome Homer
Hi everyone, I was wondering how you are suppose to pickup and use the chainsaw in Awesome Homer. I tried a few games last night, and a couple this morning and when Homer gets near the chainsaw he just runs past it without picking it up etc. So I'm wondering what to do here. Just duck and homer will grab the saw. you can also hold down shift while walking and homer can run ducking, which means he'll grab the saw on the fly as you run past (this is usually what I do).
