also even if I can beat the game I can't even hit the end.
Is it possible that we can start with fists at least?
It will be a pain but at least I have something.

Hi Shaun,
I'm glad you find it challenging. I felt the earlier betas were far too 
easy so I decided to add more challenge to the game. So I'm glad you 
find this version more challenging.
As for the locked statue in room 9, after the fire pits, you  obviously 
haven't found the key for that statue. You'll have to search the level 
more carefully to find it. Remember I've added some extra rooms to the 
level so there are places you probably don't know about or assumed 
weren't there.

Hi Shaun,
Remember items and weapons are random. Some games are easier than 
others. Some ggames I walk into room 2 and there is an uzi or shotgun 
right there to pick up and use against the enemies. Sometimes I don't 
find anything  useful and have to make do with what I have. Worst case I 
just run like hell and hope I can find something I can use in the next 
room and come back for the items in a previous room.

Hi Mike,
As I have explained before my copy of Visual Studio does not support 
Vista 64. So my games do not run on that version of Windows. As far as 
if I'll support 64 byt Windows versions that largely depends on if I can 
ever afford to upgrade to a version of Visual Studio that supports it. 
All I can say version 1.0 will probably not, and it might take a while 
before I can get the $600 or so to get a professional version  of Visual 
Studio that allows me to support Vista 64.
Believe me when I say I am researching cheaper more cost effective 
alternatives. However, since you happen to be among the minority here 
running a non-standard release of Windows it makes your situation more 
difficult to resolve. I can't just go out and pay hundreds of dollars on 
a solution that resolves a problem for a small handful of people running 
Vista 64. It is a pain in the butt for both you and I.

Hi Bryan,
As I just finished saying to Mike I don't really have the software to 
target Vista 64 yet. So there is no Vista 64 version yet.  If I could I 
would do it.
In the mean time I am looking at alternatives such as rewriting my games 
in Java, C++, Python, or something else less expensive. Although, I love 
Microsoft's .NET technology it is not always cheap or fully cross 
platform. Making  it difficult to support certain systems such as Mike's 
Vista 64 system without upgrading to a professional or enterprise 
version of Visual Studio.

Congrats on the new sounds, I greatly prefer the new footstep sounds.
However, about what Shaun said, this one is hard. I agree, the earlier betas
were too easy, however I have found myself at points in which I am virtually
helpless, I have no amo and haven't found any other weapons. Also, just a
general question about this game...what are the jewels, scrolls, and coins
for?

Hi Thomas,
This is a great new demo to try!
I've played it a dozen times and got killed in all twelve.
I finely figured you need to be 0 distance from the fire before jumping over 
it. I have to creep up and check my view with each step to reach 0 distance.

I did find one new room that had a key.
Once I did luck out in getting a new clip of machine gun shells just when I 
ran out of ammo.

Some suggestions.
It would be great if the keys had numbers so you knew which door they went 
to.

Of course the doors would have to be numbered too in the view.
The only think I didn't find in the sound descriptions was the wood 
staircase.

If I hadn't played the game before, I would have thought it was a
trap door.

well phill if you manage to get the sword then its a valuable  weapon.
It does take time to smash the boss but you should be ok.
never bothered with the view command, but I may try this.
On that note tom there was the ocational exit to the desktop when enter 
inventory, or saving a game or pressing things but it only happened once.

Grin. That's exactly why I don't number the keys and statues. It's too 
easy to figure things out if they are labeled x marks the spot. It is 
one of those puzzles you, playing as angela Carter, have to figure out. 
It is a simple one, but i hope to add more complicated ones in later levels.
Besides I owe you some puzzles after Sara. Even having read the Harry 
Potter books it took me a while to figure out most of the puzzles in 
that game. Which was good. Nothing should be a dead give away, and 
puzzles make for great replay value.
