And how to delete the outlook data folder. And also, when I delete a message, how to get it to read automatically. Did try to put windows mail on windows 7, but did not work out. So got Microsoft office professional 2010. And got outlook professional 2010. So any tips, tricks, suggestions, to improve the reading of outlook with jaws 12. Marvin. [JAWS-Users] IE 9 Questions With Jaws 12
Hi all, I would like to ask a couple or more questions regarding the use of Jaws 12 and IE9. 1. Currently I have Jaws Version 12.0.525 and I know there is a newer build but I don't know the number but my point is if I upgrade to this newer build of Jaws 12, will it support IE9 before the new build came out I tryed using IE9 with my current build of jaws alas to negative results in anycase I went back to IE 8. 2. On the subject of going back to a previous IE version I have forgotten how to do it so I am asking if I go ahead and upgrade to IE9 and it doesn't work with the new build of Jaws 12, how do I rroll back to IE 8. Also if I do upgrade to IE 9 my 1st question normally is it faster than the previous one in this case IE8 and is there anything that I should be aware of while performing the upgrades. Oh I almost forgot does IE9 have the dreaded ribbons. Just so you all know I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. I look forward to hearing from all you jaws users! Re: [JAWS-Users] using Microsoft outlook 20101 with jaws
Hi Marvin In Outlook 2010, the default location for the Outlook PST file, which holds the messages, calendar etc, is my documents/outlook. However, each folder created in Outlook 2010 can have a different PST file in a different location. To find the location and PST file for any folder, do the following: 1. While in the message list for any mail folder, press alt+f to open the file menu. 2. Tab 3 times until you get to account settings. 3. Press enter to open the drop down b menu and then press enter again. 4. You should be on the e-mail tab. Press right arrow to move to the data files tab. 5. Press Shift+tab to move to the list view which will show you the name and location of the PST file. I'm not sure why you would want to delete the Outlook data folder. But if Outlook is not running in the foreground or background, you should be able to delete it or individual PST files with Windows Explorer. To have messages read automatically when they are open, while in a message press JAWSkey+v. Arrow down to reading options and then arrow down to messages automatically read. If it doesn't say on, press space bar until it says on. Then press enter. To have a message automatically opened when you delete a message, do the following: 1. Press alt+f to open the file menu. 2. Arrow up or down until you are on the Help tab. 3. Press tab until you're at options and press enter 4. Arrow up or down until you are on the mail tab. 5. Press shift+tab until it says After moving or deleting an open item. You can find this with just the tab key, but it takes a lot more presses. 6. Use the down arrow to cycle through the choices. 7. . When you find the option you want, press tab to go to the OK button and press enter. As you probably have discovered, it can be very difficult to read a HTML message in outlook itself. The quickest way to do this after you open a HTML message is to press alt+h for the Message tab. If you're not using the virtual ribbons of JAWS 12, then press a (for actions) and v (for view in browser). These keystrokes sometimes work even when using the virtual ribbons. If they don't, press alt+h to open the Message tab. Arrow down to the Move submenu, and right arrow to open it. Arrow down to the actions drop down and press space. Then press v. The problem with reading HTML messages in outlook appears to be due to the fact that JAWS doesn't realize that it is in an HTML message. The HTML navigation keys are not active. If you were to press JAWSkey+f7 to open the links list when you first get into the html email, JAWS says not in spell checker. However, I have found that I can read most HTML messages in Outlook itself if I press alt+tab to move away from the message and immediately press it again to move back to the message. Then the message will read fine and the HTML navigation keys work. This doesn't work for all HTML messages and there are still some I have to view in the browser. Re: [JAWS-Users] mainstream twitter clients?
I have heard TweetDeck is popular. It is a client for several Social Networks, allows multiple twitter accounts, and more. Most of the clients were bought up by twitter and killed. They need more people to go to their website to see the ads. I guess they will keep finding slick ways to add it to your stream. *Don Marang* Vinux Software Development Coordinator - vinuxproject.org http://www.vinuxproject.org/ There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter. -- Dean Kamen On 8/13/2011 12:14 PM, Mobeen Iqbal wrote: Hi All. Re: [JAWS-Users] AdobeX Choosing Internett connection speed
You can do a bandwith speed test or ask your ISP provider. -Original Message- From: Mike Barbara In Arcadia Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2011 6:57 AM To: Jaws-Users List Subject: [JAWS-Users] AdobeX Choosing Internett connection speed Hi All, In AdobeX preferences / Internet page/ Connection Speed there is a combobox that offers different speeds to choose from. How does someone determine which speed will work best for them? I have just spent over an hour on the Adobe website in the Adobe help menues trying to get an answer to this question without any success. What I am trying to determine is do I set the connection speed for my Internet Providers maximum download speed, or do I set it for my computers average download speed? All help will be greatly appreciated most graciously accepted. Thanks much, take care.
