Ok, you have other issues here too, if you can't connect to your home
internet.
I haven't looked at your previous messages, but if you are having internet
connection issues, I'll lay dollars to doughnuts that you are using Windows
7.

There are glitches in the Windows 7 with many wifi cards which sometimes
cause them not to connect, particularly to secured WPA networks.

I've dealt with this problem fairly often on my Win 7 PC.

If this might be your issue, send a message back, and I'll respond privately
with a number of steps that I'm aware of that might solve your problem.
These aren't Jaws-related, of course.

The problem is in the fact that the issue (whatever it is) seems to come
and go at inconsistent intervals. Plus, I cannot seem to connect to our

Hi.
I think you should call your service provider. They can walk you through
manually configuring your e-mail account. Server not found means you
aren't

actually connecting to the imap server, where your mail is stored. Again,
they should help you with this.

I am having a problem with WLM and comcast. Whenever I try to open or

Jerry,
Well, now it sounds more like you’re real problem is your Internet
connectivity. That certainly sounds like the reason you are having intermittent
connection issues. Rather than contacting your mail client, you might want to
be talking to whoever provides your broadband Internet connection.

Ok. Yes, I realised that I deleted some of the replies to his message.
Sometimes reading your messages newest-to-oldest is not the best strategy.

I'd still call them though. I don't really know much about WLM, but Outlook
usually connects automatically to imap servers, given that you already have
an account.

JM,

However Jerry indicated that this is intermittent, so his settings are
correct some of the time. I don't see that being the issue. But calling
Comcast to complain might result in something.

Re: [JAWS-Users] wlm and comcast rules

2015-06-15 Thread Michael Boyd
OK Tom. Some email accounts require that you set them up manually. Comcast
is one of these. If you have any further problems, let me know which type of
account it is, and I will be glad to help you get it set up. It sounds like
you have a pretty good handle on it though.

Lenny,

As long as the email account that you are trying to create the rule for is a
POP3 account you can create rules in WLM for it. WLM will not allow rules
for IMAP or http E mail accounts however.
