I found this info specifically for Outlook 2010. It tells one how to enable Journal, but I would think following these steps may give you the Disable option, too. You can have Outlook 2010 create automatic journal entries for a wide range of items, including email messages (both sent and received), task requests, and files that you create or open in other Office system applications. In fact, you can use automatic journaling to record activities based on any contact, Office system document, or Outlook 2010 item that you select. For example, suppose that you routinely exchange important email messages with a business associate, and you want to track all exchanges for reference. Incoming messages from this associate arrive in your Inbox. You read them, reply to them, and then archive the incoming messages to another folder. Now, however, your associate's messages are stored in one folder and your replies are in another. (By default, replies are stored in the Outlook 2010 Sent Items folder.) Configuring the journal to track all your email exchanges with your associate automatically places a record of all messages relating to this contact (both received and sent) in one convenient location. Instead of hunting for your response to your associate's question from two weeks ago, you can open the journal and find the entry associated with the message. Double-click the link embedded in the journal entry, and Outlook 2010 takes you to the message containing your response. Enabling the Journal To enable the Journal look at your Mailbox Folders list and select Journal. Figure 1: Journal on Navigation Pane You will receive the following prompt; click Yes to enable the Journal. Figure 2: Prompt to turn Journal on Once you enable Journaling you will be presented with the Journal Options. Here you are given all possible variables that can be set for the Journal. Hello. It sounds like you may have inadvertently or not blocked the mail server side. You should probably white list any mail that you want to receive both server-side and client-side. The thing that makes me believe that this is not client-side is the fact that you would still have the mail in a spam folder on your machine, and it would not be kicked back. -Original Message- From: Jfw [mailto:jfw-boun...@lists.the-jdh.com] On Behalf Of Stan Holdeman via Jfw Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2015 2:39 PM To: jfw list Cc: Stan Holdeman Subject: blocking mail Using jaws 16 and Windows Live Mail, how can I find out if I have inadvertently set up list mail to be blocked? Hello Jen. If you want to load Jaws for windows. You can open the run dialog box and type jfwxx wherexx is the version of Joss for Windows that you want to run, so if you wanted to load Joss for Windows version 16, you would open the run dialog box and type jfw16 and press enter Jaws should load. You can of course assign a keystroke to launch Jaws, but you will have to assign it yourself. It does not come preassigned that I know of. The other problem with doing this is what if you forget to reassign the keystroke when you upgrade Joss. RE: JAWS Scripts for Carbonite For Windows 7
Hello. What problems do you have using Carbonite without scripts? -Original Message- From: Jfw [mailto:jfw-boun...@lists.the-jdh.com] On Behalf Of Jamie Davis via Jfw Sent: Tuesday, August 12, 2014 9:55 AM To: jfw@lists.the-jdh.com Subject: JAWS Scripts for Carbonite For Windows 7 My name is Jamie. Yesterday I sent out a message regarding tv tuners, SnapStream, and Carbonite for Windows 7. I did get a message back regarding accessible tv tuners where Jim Jones was looking in to something for me. I discovered that SnapStream Beyond tv is still out there, but no longer taking on new customers. My final question was regarding JAWS scripts for Carbonite for Windows 7. I found a tutorial done by someone who had Windows XP, but not for Windows 7. Does anyone have any idea of any scripts for Carbonite for Windows 7? I just signed up for the 15 day trial of Carbonite, but will get rid of it if I find there are no scripts for it. I was hoping to having an online back-up of all my data, especially since I just completed getting all my cassette music and old-radio collection, and my cd collection on a hard drive. This has been several years in the doing. Thanks for any suggestions you may have. Jamie -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hello. I would protect the sheet and lock the stuff that I did not want to be edited. When you lock a cell. You can either said it for no editing, no reading or both. I then go to my Word document with some colored text, press say all, and... Nothing. JAWS keeps reading and no pleasant piano notes alert me to the color change. Can anyone suggest what I might be missing? Is it possible that my synthesizer limits what I can do with speech and sounds? I have a Dectalk Express, which understandably limits my options in other areas, but I don't understand why it would prevent JAWS from playing a sound.
