[kdenlive] [Bug 408556] In the timeline, video thumbnails are not visible by using the highest zoom level
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408556 --- Comment #6 from Sebastian Kuhne --- Thanks again for your help. I didn't know the menu you described yet - it is probably new in 19.XX. It seems to work anyway, even if I have to say that the computer performance requirements have obviously increased. This leads to crashes and the computer stops responding, at least on my computer, and this did not happen before in 18.XX. Then, I found another inconsistency. If I switch on all thumbnails frames (Right click on the track header -> track thumbnails -> all frames) and then perform a cut somewhere in the middle of the video by using the Razor tool, then the thumbnails to the right of the cut are again not displayed. This is a little strange, and I don't know if this makes sense. Otherwise I would say, we can close this thread here since the actual issue has been solved. What is your opinion? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Spectacle] [Bug 368433] Dynamically add/remove pointer after screenshot is taken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368433 Boudhayan Gupta changed: What|Removed |Added Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INTENTIONAL --- Comment #2 from Boudhayan Gupta --- Damian, your use case is valid, but the approach suggested won't entirely work. In X11, we compose the mouse pointer over the image in most cases (except when we invoke KWin to grab an image for us), so we can un-compose the image. However, in Wayland (and that 10% of the time when we invoke KWin under X11), we'll need to take multiple screenshots. Invoking the screenshot API is computationally cheap, but not free, and there will be subtle differences between the two images. Also, multiple images at common but big sizes (think multiple 4K displays) will eat up an incredible amount of memory, all for the difference of a few pixels of difference. Storing image deltas is another idea, but again, a lot of work for very little gain. Also, this just will never work with the rectangular image cropper on any platform. Given how much refactoring will have to be done and how ugly the result will be (from a code complexity and performance point of view), I really wouldn't want to spend much effort implementing this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408352 --- Comment #9 from Yan --- Thanks, klipper plasmoid should fix the issue. @Boudhayan the problem is that I find `spectacle -r` more handy than qdbus notification. kcmshell-keys doesn't provide a way to set ANY command to ANY keyboard action, instead you can only commands from Exec sections in .desktop files. Sorry about the file, it seems like I linked some intermediate test file used to isolate the issue instead ; redid a clean archive with a better example. [krita] [Bug 408504] Krita 4.2.0 window does not tile to left or right side of screen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408504 --- Comment #4 from Chris Van Nooten --- (In reply to Boudewijn Rempt from comment #3) > Yes, maybe make a screen recording, because I just cannot reproduce this > issue, and I also cannot understand how it could possibly have something to > do with Krita. Here is the google drive link to a video exposing the problem: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CKdow15qDB5QBW5zXT8KgKQ83V5W645K/view?usp=sharing Ironically I found the problem just after uploading it, Krita 4.2.0 and beyond takes up more than half the screen space on 1080P with the minimum width just like the main Steam Window does, when you use the default Windows manager it seems that you cannot tile windows that have a larger minimum width than half the screen would be (so for me less than 960 pixels), 4.1.5 takes what seems to be only 1/3th of the screen at the smallest width, thus I could tile it while 4.2.0 takes about 6/10th at the smallest width resulting in this behaviour. My guess is that you have a 4K or a 1440P screen and that the minimum width is a set pixel value as opposed to a percentage , at least that is my theory why you couldn't replicate it. Considering how inadequate my knowledge on CPP, QT5 and the Krita source code is, I do not know which commit changed this value let alone where it is stored, but I think it is a save bet that the problem lies here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmail2] [Bug 408354] If default maildir folder is changed a new set of folders are stored under "/home/$user/file:"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408354 --- Comment #5 from Nick --- On the same computer I created a new user. I then changed the default location of the maildir folder from /home/[user]/.local/share/local-mail to a folder called /home/[user]/emails. Both locations are on the same partition. No symbolic links are involved. kmail (or akonadi) then creates a directory file:/home/[user]/emails/inbox Even more oddly the ..inbox/ folder that contains the subdirectories new, cur and tmp, if you look inside new you will find another subdirectory called file: This path in full is shown here. This is created by either kmail or Akonadi. /home/marmite/file:/home/marmite/local-mail/inbox/new/file:/home/marmite/local-mail/inbox/new/new -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 408539] [KTextEditor] highlighting crash applying invalid format
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=408539 --- Comment #6 from Christoph Cullmann --- The assert is there that I/we get a nicer kind of failure in a debug build if one ever breaks that invariant during development and to document the intend. Why should I remove that? If I remove it and break stuff during development, I will need to read a backtrace and figure out the failure. With the assert I get a verbose error message and have the knowledge that it is not wanted to ever arrive with an invalid iterator here. And for the release builds, it produces zero code, the user will not be burdened with unneeded run-time checks. Actually, below in your backtrace, I don't see how you tripped over the assert, you did run in the release build crash. That won't change if I remove the assert now and the invariant is broken again, we just get a worse developer experience for debug compiles. Perhaps you use assertions for other things, I use them in most cases for the stuff you read for example here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assertion_(software_development) * Assertions during the development cycle I would be happy if that assertion could be proven during compile time as some static assertion, but static analysis will not do that for you with reasonable effort. That would actually be the nicest kind of assert there: no compile if we break this logic. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
