yes good article.
My view of Redfearn - poor manager , selected Luke Murphy time and time again.
Picked a few youngsters , had a few lucky results however I thought we played
some really poor football under Redfearn.
Got sacked by Rotherham this year. Nuff said.
Thanks Neil.
Maybe his mate Ken Bates will give him a job somewhere ?

Re: [LU] Redfearn

2015-04-13 Thread nat...@sky.com
To be fair I have been saying for a few weeks that my mates have no faith or
confidence in Redfearn and want to see the back of him. I am still , just
about, in the pro camp but their worries are starting to get to me. I think
with the turnover of managers already this season and the fact that Redfearn
does have a genuine affinity with the club and is (supposedly) a favourite with
the young players, that fans do not want to openly criticise or boo him.
However as my mates are constantly pointing out even when we were on the good
run we were not hammering teams and most of our wins could easily have gone the
other way - think Boro and Fulham- just look at the stats and say we deserved
to win. Of the 5 of us - 3 are against Redfearn, I am for him but have to admit
I cannot see him being the man to take us up, and one is on the fence.
Like you say he makes a lot of mistakes but lucky results and the fact that we
have other 'hate' figures at the club has made it easier for him with the fans
I will be there tomorrow but really cannot see anything other than them beating
us and doing so easily - maybe 2-0 and they never get out of second gear or 4/5
0 if they decided to really go for it. That is not a good feeling going into
our penultimate home game
Having said that my son, having missed the last two seasons has already bought
his ST for next season - how crazy that he has had to buy it via Zebra Finance
(albeit interest free) because it is not possible to pay on a credit / debit
card

OK I will probably get slated for this, but I think Refearn is getting an easy
ride and he is starting to do things that previous managers were slated for. He
is starting to annoy me:

  - Calling out individual players for their poor performance (Silvestri and
Antenucci on Saturday). Warnock was hammered (rightly so) for this after what
he said about Lees. Interestingly it is only the foreign players getting this
treatment. Morison rather than being shite needs a rest
  - Blaming players for being unable to adapt to a position and playing a
certain way for a system. How about changing the system to suit how the players
best play?
  - Too many mentions of shifts and graft, and I want to see what they have
got in them. Hockaday anyone? Remember the vitriol he got for using pretty
much the same language?
  - Why no experimentation with some of the foreign players as the season winds
down? Or has he already made his mind up (Doukara, Adryan, Montenegro)?

Re: [LU] Redfearn

2015-04-13 Thread Phill Shields
I genuinely feel for Redders but I have to say that the players at the club
must realise that their performances/results in the run in to the end of the
season are vitally important for his future at the club. The last few games
have been very poor - its as if they don't care about the bloke.

Then again, I agree he must share part of the blame. Steve Thompson has gone
now, we need to move on. Cardiff are one of the poorest teams we have played at
our place this season and they won at a canter on Saturday. Cannot believe we
played 1 up front against them, they were there for the taking.

I personally do not want to see Morison in a Leeds shirt again, if we need
someone to stand wide on the right to use as an outlet use young Dawson or
possible Montenegro.

There are plenty of players in the squad who should be given a chance in the
run in, Del Fabrio, Sloth, Montenegro to name but a few.

Final point, it looks like Cellino is gearing up to off load us. A few week ago
I was optimistic about next season, I am really not hopeful now though.

 He seems to get his

And seeing that Robbie Fowler, Tony Mowbray, Ian Culverhouse, Steve

Just back from game and didn't hear said interview but I was angry with
Redfearn today. I can only assume he's not got the authority with the players

I saw nothing today that couldn't have come from a Warnock team - no pace, the
only player with a degree of pace (Whyte) subbed, Poleon and Habibou rooted to
the bench, no Hall, Brown on for Tonge late on (an absolutely nothing decision
which failed to shore us up and preserve the point we had at that stage), and
always vulnerable to opposition pace at the back. Oh, and the trademark late
header conceded from close range.
Very depressing today. Ross tried hard but he never looked convinced he was
going to create anything.

Listening to his interview, he is making pathetic excuses. So obviously not a
leader.

We have conceded crucial, result-changing goals in the last six minutes five
times in the last seven games. That points to a lack of fitness.

The club needs an overhaul from top (GFH out) to bottom (the playing staff).

Just back from game and didn't hear said interview but I was angry with
Redfearn today. I can only assume he's not got the authority with the players
to be able to try things. I know he can't conjure new talent from thin air, but
I saw nothing today that couldn't have come from a Warnock team - no pace, the
only player with a degree of pace (Whyte) subbed, Poleon and Habibou rooted to
the bench, no Hall, Brown on for Tonge late on (an absolutely nothing decision

I heard Hughesy got the best reception - what does that tell us. The bloke was
at best an average Division 3 player but he had a bit of passion and how many
of the players who have turned out for us this season could you say that about
? Not many, if any ?

2013-04-06 Thread MATTHEW GAYNOR
Yep Hughes got the most songs.

McCormack buzzed around and looked interested, Byram and Green tried to make
something happen - the rest of them were a waste of space.
Brown got booked 5 seconds after coming on and Morison may have just have
completed a trio of the worst ever Leeds appearances - i thought he was
avoiding the penalty area by the end to make sure he didnt miss any more
chances.

I hope we dont need any more points - as we dont look like getting any.

Matt
