Contact support, from your description it sounds like one of the report
settings you use is triggering a bug that should be addressed.

Support will need a copy of the report settings file with your
particular settings so they can test your problem. Each report has its
own settings file so they will need to know which report you are using
as well.

Open the report and then click the reset button in the lower
right-hand corner. After you do that, go back to the report options and
make sure that the check marks haven’t checked themselves back. Now run
your report

Re: [LegacyUG] Chart stuck on taskbar

2018-09-16 Thread Bernard Kertesz
I have contacted support as well. I've generally been using charts saved
as jpegs for working documents and this attempt at saving a chart was
only because the taskbar lockup gave this as my only option. Since it
won't maximise, I can't do any manipulation to the chart features much
less save it as a jpeg or pdf. The database appears to be fine, only
charting is inaccessible.

It sounds as if you are trying to open an existing chart? Do you still
have the database it was based on in the same place?

When I click on Legacy Charting, the charting app appears on the task

Right clicking on the image gives only 2 viable options, minimise or
close. If I click minimise I can then get the Restore option which
then does absolutely nothing at all.  Closing prompts the save dialog
box but if I say save and then go to the Legacy Charts folder and
attempt to open the .lwcx file (which generally says that it's about 6

S annoying.

Mapping does not work in any of the previous versions because Legacy is not
interested in making it work. It is SIMPLE MANY other sites QUICKLY updated
to the new Bing standards, but Legacy, quite obviously, can't be bothered. So
much for listening to the people who made Legacy into a great program. Now they
are ruining it.

Re: [LegacyUG] Cemeteries- Correction

2018-09-16 Thread Cathy Pinner

Gene,
What's your problem with the Help file?

You can go the hard way - Help - Help Index and search for Name List and
see Printing in the list.
Click to display. Scroll to the relevent section on Printing that has a
link to List Report.

There it explains how to set it up and that it can be saved to csv.

OR you can search for CSV and be taken immediately to the Name List
Reports section

OR the easier way - Click the Help button on the Name List or the Print
dialogue and go straight to the relevant section of the Help.

On the Legacy Home tab click on Online Troubleshooting Help in the

Open the report and then click the reset button in the lower right-hand

Re: [LegacyUG] Cemeteries

2018-09-16 Thread Susie Zada
Hi Jean,

Cathy gave you a good link to achieve what you're trying to do.

Hopefully you've entered cemeteries using one of those methods.

If not, explain to us how you've entered the cemeteries.

It can also be a good opportunity to tidy up your entries for cemeteries.

Hope that helps.

Re: [LegacyUG] Cemeteries

Jean,
How you get a list from Legacy depends on where you entered the name of
the cemetery.
Here's an article with several options. If it doesn't cover how you
entered the cemetery you'll need to tell us exactly.
