[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 65038] EDITING: SearchReplace doesn't replace regular expression with Lookahead
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65038 --- Comment #2 from David djrei...@gmail.com --- I was just searching for another (potential) regex problem, and ran across this one. Here are my results: (1) Following OP's instructions *exactly*, I get the *same* result: AB remains unchanged. (2) IF, however, I use Replace All instead of Replace, then the A is superscripted. I have tried this repeatedly, and it is consistent: in this scenario Replace finds *but does not replace* the intended string; but Replace All correctly performs the operation. I am using LibO Writer Version: 4.1.4.2 Build ID: 410m0(Build:2) under Linux Mint 13 (LTS; built on Ubuntu Precise 12.04) on a Toshiba Satellite A100. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 58744] EDITING: Cannot search with paragraph breaks or replace with line breaks; inconsistencies in search expressions
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58744 --- Comment #5 from David djrei...@gmail.com --- I'd like to add my voice to the request for this development to move to solution. I also support comment #3 and appreciate DouglasCarnall's pithy tl;dr that captures the situation nicely. (I can't see what is relevant inked discussion at 46165, however - is that bug number a typo?) Another real world scenario is the possibility of finding and removing duplicate paragraphs. This is a common workflow: sort paragraphs search on continguous identical paragraphs remove duplicates. At the moment, so far as I know, this is not possible in Writer, either with the native CTRL-H + regex search/replace (which cannot match across $ paragraph boundaries), or with the AltSearch extension (which cannot use back-references in searches with * -- although it can make matches across paragraph breaks). There is some discussion of this at AskLibreOffice: http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/27682/regular-expression-references-not-working/ It would be wonderful to see this fixed! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Control+PageUp/Down = select next tab Shift+Control+PageUp/Down = select next tab AND replicate edits across the selected sheets. I stopped pressing Shift (bad habit) and the problem has gone away. With Shift the previous tab remains in white (=selected), while without Shift it returns to light gray (=deselected). The difference is visually subtle. The user can change the tab colour to something more striking (blue, red, violet) to make it more visually obvious whenever multiple tabs are selected (white). Sadly, I don't. This table was pretty much everything I got. And the text was already messed up in the original template, not just after saving. It would be good to have the font color and highlighting feature in the TEXT FORMATTING toolbar. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a new document in WRITER 2. Go to the toolbar at the bottom and select TEXT (F2) 3. Draw a text box 4. Write Test into the textbox 5. Select this word Test Result: Go to the toolbar at the top and look for the font color icon. - It is not there. To change the color you need to choose the CHARATER icon or to go to FORMAT - CHARACTER and then to select the tab FONT EFFECTS. I think this is not user-friendly. This feature is also inconsistent. If you do the same in IMPRESS and DRAW you will have a FONT COLOR icon. AFAIK the installation doesn't set such settings. It might be only set by the user after launching LO. If you didn't set this, it even might be a bug. Also keep in mind that 4.2.0.1 stores its settings in the same place as previous versions (4.0 or 4.1), and those settings aren't removed when you uninstall (or upgrade). So you might have this setting left from a previous installation (or 4.2.0.1 didn't interpret the old settings correctly for some reason). It might be easier if LO defaulted to being able to use the normal toolbar sidebar settings, rather than disabling this feature hiding the solution away somewhere. WRITER module. When a drawing created using DRAW from the 4.1.3 version, all combined drawings are disconnected. Steps to reproduce 1. Open DRAW and creat any drawing (ex: see attached file) 2. Combine the lines 3. Save DRAW file 4. Copy the drawing 5. Open a WRITER file paste the drawing 6. Save the file. When open using LibO 4.3.1, the drawing is fine; but when edited using LibO 4.2.0, the drawing is disconnected. Hope that this description will help and sorry if this is a duplicate. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 73206] New: NoSuchElementException from acceleratorconfiguration.cxx:126
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73206 Priority: medium Bug ID: 73206 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: NoSuchElementException from acceleratorconfiguration.cxx:126 Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Linux (All) Reporter: lo_b...@iseries-guru.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master Component: BASIC Product: LibreOffice Steps to reproduce: (1) Open a new Writer document. (2) Open the Basic IDE and navigate to the source code of a module of the current file: (2.1) Take menu options Tools Macros Organize macros LibreOfficeDev Basic Program presents dialog LibreOfficeDev Basic Macros. (2.2) In the left pane, Macro from, click Untitled 1 and then click New. LibreOffice presents dialog New Module with Name defaulted to Module1. (2.3) Click OK. Program presents window Untitled 1.Standard (3) Into the source pane paste: sub crash dim price as double price = 8.6 print price end sub 'crash (4) Place the caret on the line sub crash and type F5 to run the macro. Result expected : message box saying 8.6 Result observed : SIGABRT. These observations are on master commit 480c7c2, fetched 2013-12-127 02:33 UTC, configured as: --enable-option-checking=fatal --enable-dbgutil --enable-crashdump --without-system-postgresql --without-myspell-dicts --with-extra-buildid --without-doxygen --with-external-tar=/home/terry/lo_hacking/git/src built and running on debian-wheezy 64-bit. Note for comparison that version 4.2.0.1 displays the message box that I expected. I cannot tell whether the difference is a recent commit to master or my debug build. I shall soon attach a typescript with a backtrace obtained from the above steps. Note that the throw comes from framework::XMLBasedAcceleratorConfiguration::getCommandByKeyEvent, framework/source/accelerators/acceleratorconfiguration.cxx:126. Just as an aside, and to head off those who would ask me to attach a document demonstrating the crash ... I tried to prepare a Writer document with a button invoking the macro 'crash'. It only crashed sometimes, and when it did crash it crashed after different numbers of throws executed and with different backtraces. The STR above, by contrast have produced essentially identical results three times in a row; I lack the courage to try for a fourth time grin /. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44424] Twice of chosen print copies
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44424 --- Comment #8 from Ulf Zibis ulf.zi...@gmx.de --- (In reply to comment #7) I agree. I don't like at all the 1 3 syntax too one should use 1 - 3 or 1,3 as pointed out by A. Does anybody know how MS Word deals with such a scenario? is the 1 3 syntax accepted or not? IIRC MS Word results in expected behaviour: It deals as 1,3 Some applications also deal with item1 item2 as list of distinct multiple items, e.g. multiple email addresses in To field of email clients. So this is common expected behaviour. If LibO doesn't want to accept the 1 3 syntax, it should throw an error message instead doing nonsense. maybe we should open a separate report for this. I think, we better would modify the summary to e.g.: Wrong syntax in print pages field causes unexpected multiple print copies -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

First, SpellChecker::hasLocale() in lingucomponent/source/spellcheck/spell/sspellimp.cxx is never called (not by Writer at least), so whatever I do there does not matter. What gets called, however, is SpellCheckerDispatcher::hasLocale() in linguistic/source/spelldsp.cxx (which took me a while to find going through all that convoluted UNO stuff), but passing the primary language to aSvcMap.find() there does not find anything, apparently the spell checker for ar is never registered or something, but I gave up at this point since the code on that file is too clever for me to grasp. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
