[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75702] FILEOPEN: line-break ignored

2014-03-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75702

--- Comment #3 from sylv...@ilm-informatique.fr ---
Hi,
sorry if I wasn't clear, the bug is ignoring the XML element
text:line-break/. Not the UI feature of line break which in Calc insert a new
text:p.
But this could be connected as in Writer inserting a line break in in the UI
creates an actual text:line-break/ element.

2014-03-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75467

Hello,
I also failed to reproduce this behavior with OSX 10.9.2 and LibreOffice 4.3
(home compiled). But it can interesting to see what have been added in the
resource fork,
- either by using terminal and typing:
DeRez blank.doc
if you have installed the developer tools
- or by first zipping the file blank.doc (to conserve the resource fork) and
then attaching it.

Note:
- if this happens before opening the file in LibreOffice, I guess that this is
not LibreOffice which happens this resource fork but more probably a Finder's
extension...
- if the size of resource fork is 286, it probably only contains one short
resource ; i.e. even if it can be shortened, the header size of a resource fork
is often 256 bytes, so this let 30 bytes for the resource map (~20bytes if it
contains one resource) and the resource data(maybe 10bytes).

This is not a bug but rather an enhancement request.
The addition of custom colors (Tools gt; Options gt; LibreOffice gt; colors)
is possible and thank you but these colors are added at the end of list if they
are personal, it is that the user wants to use and even probably more than
standard colors.

My request is that the personal colors appear at the beginning of list.

Excuse me but I have not found under heading enhancement request.

But the line

is still there in lcl_CheckForm (sw/source/filter/ww8/ww8atr.cxx), and there
may still be other scenarios that might call that with aIt-sText.getLength()

String::Copy(0, 5), which would silently reduce 5 to the given string's

Miklos, do you know whether that copy(0, 5) could ever legitimately be called
with a string of length 5 (and should thus be adapted to rtl::OUString::copy
semantics)?

--- Comment #3 from hp4everyth...@googlemail.com ---
In the meantime I had the chance to test it on an actuak SuSE-23 Linux
distribution with LibreOffice 4.1.4.2 with the same problems

I'v also your suggestions:

- problem persists after resetting user profile
- problem persists after complete new installation of LibreOffice 4.2.1

But after a lot of trials maybe the error title has to be updated: the problem
seems to be the url on Linux as well as on Windows!! Depending on the url
LibreOffice freezes for intervals from seconds to half an hour (or maybe even
worse?). The whole application freezes including the GUI thread, so it is
blocked somewhere outside the message loop. No visible
CPU-/disk-/network-activities, so maybe it's waiting for timeouts?

Since the problem appears for me in two completely independent
Linux/Windows-systems, I expect that you can also verify it yourself by simply
running the following trivial example with different URLs. (the uncommentaed
one is the worst!)

BR
Hans-Peter

Sub TryToOpenCsvFromTheInternet
Dim loadArgs2(1) as New com.sun.star.beans.PropertyValue
' this works fast but slower than firefox
'lurl = http://192.168.178.9/cgi-bin/mycmd;
'this works worse, freezes for several seconds
'lurl =
http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=%40%5EDJI,GOOGf=nsl1ope=.csv;

lsfo = 44/32,34,ANSI,2,

loadArgs2(0).Name = FilterName
loadArgs2(0).Value = Text - txt - csv (StarCalc)
loadArgs2(1).Name = FilterOptions
loadArgs2(1).Value = lsfo

lDoc = StarDesktop.LoadComponentFromURL(lurl,_blank,0,loadArgs2())

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75694] FILESAVE: Comments lost on export to .docx

2014-03-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75694

--- Comment #2 from petrelharp petrel.h...@gmail.com ---
(In reply to comment #1)
take a look at Bug 73221 - Last comment text is lost if you save as .docx
without shifting the focus to another text area

are you describing the same issue or a different one?

A different issue. This bug appears whether or not I move the cursor after
creating the comment.

Other notes:

1. it is necessary to close the document, and re-open it before saving out as
docx. if I create a document, save as .odt, and save as .docx; or just save
directly as .docx, this does not occur.

2. if I do exactly the same steps, but first save as .docx, then close, and
re-open and save as .odt, there is no problem. I am attaching examples:
  docx-then-odt.{odt,docx} : WORKS
  odt-then-docx.{odt,docx} : BROKEN

3. this is serious: I first noticed this because of a document from someone
else in which, when I saved as .docx to send back to them, all their comments
would become blank. (major data loss) this is the minimal reproducible
example.

4. this affects .odt: in my testing, I have occasionally seen examples where
the file saved *as .odt* has lost the contents of the comments, or the author
of some comments. I haven't been able to make a reproducible example, though.

During trajectory animation connectors are not attached to objects. To vérify :
 1- create new impress slide
2- insert two graphical objects linked by a connector
3- move objects manually to verify connector attaches
4- make a trajectory animation with one object
5- play it from animations editor or play slideshow

Object is moving but connector don't. It is detached from the object.

We still have a few classes that inherit from std::vector and std::map.

The task is to find them (a few of them are in oox) and remove this
inheritance. We should use private member variables instead.

one additional observation:

when the file eventually is loaded via http-url and displayed in the
LibreOffice window, every subsequent user click in the GUI again takes up to
half an hour to complete. I've tried opening a menu and quitting the
application via windows title bar.

So the whole message handling of the GUI and/or application seems to be in a
strange state.

Continuing...

While the addition of the resource fork does happen before actually executing a
file-open in LibreOffice, it only happens after running LibreOffice, opening
the Open dialog, and selecting a file in that dialog. Since this does not
happen when selecting files in other applications' Open dialogs, there must be
something different about how LibreOffice's OS X package is interacting with
the operating system.

I don't know what osnoal means by a Finder's extension; I am not even
convinced that the Finder application is involved.

anyway, all verstion of libreoffice, it´ll be very slow to save a edited file

/workdir/UnpackedTarball/nss tree (or elsewhere in LO).

Can you please explain how you managed to generate these files? According to
the file they have been created with Word 2013 but they are invalid which
points to a bug in Word.

So I tried to reproduce this in (In reply to comment #45)
I added this to 4.1 MAB.

Has anyone tested this with the 4.2 branch? I assume nothing changed but it
would be good to know for sure.

I tried to reproduce this in 4.1.4.2.

Created document, typed, saved with password. Typed more into document and
crashed LO. Re-opened the document and started the recovery. Was immediately
asked for password. I will continue to stress test this, but it doesn't seem
to be present in this build.

Again, without a file this is hard to fix. If you can strip all the
sensitive information and keep just as much that the crash is still
reproducible, attaching a test file still would be most useful to move
 things forward here.

Sophie has the file waiting for somebody willing to test it. It's available
since February 10. What else should I do?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61403] MATH: Space should not be added between variables

--- Comment #5 from Regina Henschel rb.hensc...@t-online.de ---
I do not see an error in current spacing. Keep in mind, that the formula editor
does no kerning at all. Therefore the spacing between italic and regular
characters might look a little bit wider than you are used from normal text.

You can force to use no space for a special situation by the command nospace{
}.

Space between variables are needed to make visible that there are two
variables. Having no space means, that there is one variable which happens to
have a name build out of several characters.

Can you attach a screen shot, which shows wrong spacing?

I cannot confirm it. I have created a new database table with the embedded
HSQLDB. The primary key has type INTEGER and autovalue works as expected, when
opening the table.

How do you try to enter new records?

I work with Version: 4.2.1.1 Build ID: d7dbbd7842e6a58b0f521599204e827654e1fb8b
on Windows 7 (32bit).

Can you please attach the .odb file, where autovalue does not work?

(which should be included in the present sidebar) should appear in the sidebar,
