Try using Safari’s private window by pressing command shift n.
Then open Bard.

happening yesterday too. I called my state library and they seemed to think it 
was on my end. I cleared my cashe but I couldn’t find it in the list of sites 
that have cookies. I suppose I could clear all but that might make a mess. in 
other places. I may have to anyway because I tried logging in using Firefox and 
it worked so it must be a Safari issue. suggestions?

I was able to navigate it just as you were. While I was saying 90% loaded. I 
don't believe I have JavaScript enabled either.

Interesting that I was able to navigate the page even as it said 90% loaded on 
Big Sur. One thing you can try is to disable JavaScript, often in webpages that 
have constant animation moving elements around, the extra time required for the 
browser to tell VOiceOver that something has moved causes everything to get 
stuck. You can temporarily disable JavaScript  and see if that helps either in 
the “Developer” menu if you have it enabled or in the Security tab of Safari 
Preferences.

below is part of a message I saved from 2018. This works sometimes.

Heres an apple tech tip on how to clear sluggish VO movement by deleting the 
Caches folder.
This helps minimize the "busy" issue for me. :)
Basic steps below;
To empty out the Caches folder on your computer, you’ll need to open up Finder 
first. 

With Voiceover on, you can press V O D, and it should default to Finder. Then 
press V O Space. 

Once Finder is the focused application, press V O M to get to the menu bar, 
then V O Right until you reach the Go menu. In the Go menu, select Go To 
Folder. 

The location is ~/Library

Once you’ve typed that in, press Return. 

In the Library folder, you can select the Caches folder and then press Command 
Delete to move it to trash. 

I recommend restarting the computer after you do this.

the Disney plus website would not let a friend stream there, just sitting.
Ended up putting chrome, which i intend removing, on my computer so I
could stream Sir. Elton's last concert.

Keep in mind that is an older OS, but I would try Command R.

Safari on my Mac

I’m running Catalina on my Mac Mini. certain websites just sit there for a long 
time 90% loaded. is there anything I can do to get Safari to. finish loading 
the page?
