I can deal with the OEM cup holders, they're just not located in a spot that is easy to get to, that's all. In the 140 you have to reach over with your left hand, as they are too far back to reach with your right hand. I have seen the fold up ones that screw to your door, but that's not going to happen on my car. I'm not screwing anything to the door or any place else for that matter. I bought a bunch of size 52 white coveralls from a surplus store some years ago that have nuclear power plant logos on them. they were like $2 apiece. It always disturbed me a bit that they were size 52, made me wonder if that was for nuke plant workers after their radiation doses made them balloon up, or if they just hired fatasses to begin with. My USAF green bags seem to have shrunken significantly, too. 'Didn't know nomex would do that. ;) BTW, I still occasionally wear a flight jacket of material before nomex (nylon? rayon?); it's probably about circa 1971 - not sure; 'still has SAC patch on it to replace the one I gave to the Danish civilian in the RADAR site (DYE-3) on the Greenland ice cap in '78. I have experienced the sun/heat in September in Phoenix. Learned not to wear shorts when driving a car with a black interior, and also learned why everyone used sunshades on their windshield. Florida is nearly as bad, although we don't have the extreme heat, high 90s and 100% humidity. The sun is as intense if not more, so many of the effects are similar. From: Rich Thomas richthomas79td...@constructivity.net Both, and azaleas and whatever else is out there. I am dying. --R I wear an AO Hepa filter mask outside during the pollen season and often during the summer when the mold spore count is high and the wind is not off the Gulf since I'm allergic to nearly all of it down here in Florida. Started wearing the first ones available in the 1960s that had to be ordered from Mine Safety Appliance Co in Pittsburgh. The only commercial masks commonly available nowadays are the 3M Hepa filter masks which don't fit very tightly. The masks from allergy supply companies don't seem to work very well. Also have a couple of HEPA filters in the shop and in the house AC ducting that work quite well. Get some interesting reactions wearing the mask while driving. Pulled into a supermarket one day and a tough looking but well dressed guy in a late model sports car whipped into the spot beside me, hopped out, and came over to my window with an ugly look on his face. He demanded to know what I was wearing. I told him. Then he demanded to know why. I told him because I was allergic to pollen and mold spores. He stared at me for a few seconds like he didn't believe me and then jumped in his car and roared off. Still don't know what all that was about but I would guess that he was either a sheriffs detective, or more likely an employee of the power plant down the road who thought I was against coal fired power plants and trying to send a message to the public that the coal plant was polluting the air. The power plant is union organized and I hear that some of their union members are pretty tough. Florida is about like SC for pollen and mold spores, but living along the coast provides some relief when the wind is off the Gulf or ocean. Right on the beach there is usually a daily salt-laden breeze off the water which is beneficial for those with allergies. [MBZ] OT-Trurntable drive belts
I am in need of measurements for an older Sharp RP-155 turntable. Actually for the drive belt. I was up at Dad's for Easter yesterday. He has stage 4 gastric cancer and I had come upon a few old albums that he might like. I got to play a few and then the drive belt in his 30 year old turntable bit it. The belt aged out and fell apart. I am not able to put the bits together enough to find a measurement of the belt. Do any of the members of the list have access to old european stereo data that would point me toward a belt so he can listen to his records? Sharp is not any help. I think they lost the data, as the CSA was not standard english speaker and his screen was not showing information. clay 1974 450sl - Frosch - Two tone green 1972 220D - Gump - She is green, simple and ran 1995 E300D - Cleo - Used by the Queen of Denial POS 1987 SDL - Beware Nigerian Scammers ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
