The only limits you'll run into are either in browsers struggling to render that much data, or the data taking too long to load and causing unicorns to appear as you mention. If you are planning to have more than 1000 repositories, please try to group them together in separate organisations to help keep the number of repositories under good practise limits.”It's why we have “unicorn” error when displaying list of repos in public view, with more than 19000 repos. I wonder if it's not for this reason that accepting invitation to the OpenMandrivAssociation organization leads to error 405. Alexey any news from Github on this side?Question is: is it possible for us? For example split all packages in “OMA KDE” organization, “OMA graphic drivers and libraries” organization etc to keep number of repos under 1000? That would mean at least 20 organizations…Another suggestion may be to host our own git just for specs (gogs or gitlab) and keep OpenMandrivaSoftware on Github.--___OM-Cooker mailing listOM-Cooker@ml.openmandriva.orghttp://ml.openmandriva.org/mailman/listinfo/om-cooker_ml.openmandriva.org___

[OM Cooker] [om-qa] [om-qa-alerts] Ping

2016-10-10 Thread Raphaël Jadot
The problem is comind from ml, refusing @openmandriva,org emails. I guess it considers itself the main email server for openmandriva.org domain. See https://issues.openmandriva.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2#c38Also it refuses incoming message from local sendmail (bounce: refuse to talk), maybe for absence of dkim signature. I don't see any other reason as SPF is ok for local sendmail (jasper) but dkim only for official sendmail (jade)It succeded when I changed sender from openmandriva.org to openmandriva.net, using official smtp. Then no bounce.--Sent from Yandex.Mail for mobile10.10.2016, 14:21, "Robert Xu" :Yeah, because I've realised that Kahinah has stopped sending email alerts. And that goes over SMTP too via OpenMandriva's email server. If that were to go over my email server, I wonder if it would start working.

[OM Cooker] Email server and webmail migration

Hello, OpenMandriva email engine will be migrated next Monday (not related to mailing lists which stay on the same server). I think I have thought about all email addresses and all people managing one or several of them (j...@openmandriva.org, a...@openmandriva.org etc…) But maybe I have missed one or several use cases, especially related to webservices connected to an email address. Please then tell me so that I check configuration and give you the credentials, webmail url etc. Cheers--Raphaël J.

Coming back to the topic: number of repos of OpenMandrivaAssociation organisation in github. If I'm correct, this is linked to the whole abf process, as each and every package has its github repo, with spec, yml, patches and stuff.Maybe then it would be better to put the repos where issues would be written in OpenMandrivaSoftware instead (IIRC there are less repos there than in OpenMandrivaAsociation)--Sent from Yandex.Mail for mobile15.09.2016, 22:46, "Robert Xu" <rob...@gmail.com>:That's like a small fraction of the number of repos we have in OpenMandrivaAssociation. Some thought that our current tool (OpenProject) was to complicated for the purpose and an alternative online service called waffle.io was suggested as a managment tool for this purpose.
You can view information about this tool here https://github.com/waffleio/waffle.io/wiki/Recommended-Workflow-Using-Pull-Requests
A working version of the interface can be viewed here:-  https://waffle.io/OpenMandrivaAssociation/OpenMandrivaLx
The tool uses github fto provide some of it's functionality.
There were too few people at the TC meeting for it to be quorate so a meaningful vote was not possible hence this cooker post which it is hoped will allow those who were not present to express their views.
If after two days there have been no serious objections the tool will be considered adopted.

Nice study, thanks Robert :)

I made a quick try to.
https://github.com/OpenMandrivaSoftware/oma-web-RuruLandK/projects/1

Your latest email is the most convincing for me to go with Waffle.io,
especially is further integration is planned with Github Projects through
Waffle bot.

Furthermore if it helps not forgetting pending issues…

Robert told about the fact that Github just annouced the new «projects» service
by github.

https://github.com/blog/2256-a-whole-new-github-universe-announcing-new-tools-forums-and-features

Documentation is already there so it should not be long before it's shipped.
https://help.github.com/articles/tracking-the-progress-of-your-work-with-projects/

I agree Robert that if we could avoid navigating between different sites, it
could be better, so I'd prefer using github projects instead. Besides of this,
no objection.

2016-09-15 Thread Raphaël Jadot
There are some flaws in this process. How to test a full set of libraries when
you're not sure about how to test them, what they do etc. I personally updated
all my distro with testing packages. They did not fix all pending issues, but
apparently did not break something. Maybe I should have tested them one by
one...

Other problem: how to pass or not pass validation when most team is unable to,
Itchka dealing with sad and hard family issues, Ben with health issues, Robert
with post degree transition. How to assure we reach the goal I guess we all
want, having a nice distro up to date, and not broken.

I'm sure you did not mean «whine».

2016-03-30 Thread Raphaël Jadot
I--Sent from Yandex.Mail for mobile30.03.2016, 12:29, "Tomasz Gajc" :Joel most of these are UX related requirements.I think and still support we should have a UX team (that include people from and not from cooker). 1. Naming in menu  - i've set by default "description, name" because for new users "Web browser" means more that firefox or qupzillaNot so obvious, I have no strong opinion here but tend to think average user associate more easily a name to a software rather than a function. Imagine that new user tries to browse web, and we abandoned firefox in favour of qupzilla. I'm not sure that user will go directly to qupzilla because he knows it is Web browser and will allow him to browse his favourite sites. Please don't think I'm arguing but even my uncle who knows nothing about computers know what is Firefox. If I speak about a web browser (we curiously kept the word 'navigateur' in France) he will wonder what I'm talking about.2. Background - we are using everywhere same background, starting from:* grub2 theme* plymouth theme* sddm theme* Plasma/LXQt desktop backgroundSee screenshots https://sourceforge.net/projects/openmandriva/3. Plasma colours - our Artwork team decided that we should use Breeze theme in Plasma 5. If Artwork agrees to change colors to from different theme then why not.4. om-welcome is not included - looking for a volunteer who is going to adapt it to current state of Lx 3.@joel a step by step dummy guide directly accessible on our site, may it be a good alternative? ___OM-Cooker mailing listOM-Cooker@ml.openmandriva.orghttp://ml.openmandriva.org/mailman/listinfo/om-cooker_ml.openmandriva.org___

I may just do something where I have a docker containerthat I can spin up and run bash scripts in to test whatever isnecessary, exporting all the variables into the environment..It bears thinking. I can provide the upgrade path eventually, but I'm currently rushing to push v4 out so that we have something in place for Lx3. This means that v3 will stop working when Persona deprecates - I'm hoping we've moved people from 2014.0 to Lx3 by then. A screenshot of v4 is attached - hope you like the new look! On 30 January 2016 at 15:29, Robert Xu <rob...@gmail.com> wrote: > Oh god no, it's not in Perl.
