[DebianGIS-dev] Bug#475878: josm: Depends: java-gcj-compat | java2-runtime, but doesn't work.

2008-04-13 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Package: josm
Version: 0.0.0.20080330-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

Your package has a Depends on: java-gcj-compat | java2-runtime
but those dependencies are not enough. It complains with:
No valid JVM found to run JOSM.
Please install one of those mentioned in README.Debian
or set the JAVACMD environment variable prior running josm.

And README.Debian says:
Josm should work using one of the following as /usr/bin/java:

* /usr/bin/gij-4.1
* /usr/bin/jamvm
* any of SUN's java (non-free)

But it doesn't even try to use /usr/bin/java.

I have java-gcj-compat installed. java2-runtime is provided by those
packages:
  gij-4.2 4.2.1-5
  gij-4.1 4.1.2-16
  gij 4:4.3-1

Of those, gij-4.1 is the only one I don't have installed.

If it only works with jamvm (which is java1-runtime) and gij-4.1,
then use those as depends instead of something that you're not even
using.

[DebianGIS-dev] Bug#520187: ogdi-dfsg: FTBFS: No libproj-dev

2009-03-17 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Source: ogdi-dfsg
Version: 3.2.0~beta2-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

Your package is build depending on libproj-dev | proj, and
libproj-dev does not exist.

This does not work. The buildds will only consider the first
alternative, so libproj-dev.

Either drop the libproj-dev, or change the order. But I don't
see why you have the build dependency on libproj-dev.

A full build log can be found at:
http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=i386&pkg=gpsdrive&ver=2.10~pre4-6.dfsg-2+b1

This is most likely caused by mixing old and new parts of libtool.
This could for instance happen when not all aclocal.m4 are
regenerated.

This might be the result of using the Debian version of
libtool which is patched not link against the depedencies
of the dependent on library. So zlib will still be
pulled in, but it's the other lib that is using it and
pulling it in.

A full build log can be found at:
http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=amd64&pkg=python-pyproj&ver=1.8.6-1

The problem is that you've switched to using the new quilt source
format but are still using quilt in your debian/rules file. Not
all the buildds create the .pc dir when extracting the source
files, so you try to apply the patches twice.

Bug#828509: postgis: FTBFS with openssl 1.1.0

2016-06-26 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Source: postgis
Version: 2.2.2+dfsg-2
Severity: important

Hi,

OpenSSL 1.1.0 is about to released. During a rebuild of all packages using
OpenSSL this package fail to build. A log of that build can be found at:
https://breakpoint.cc/openssl-1.1-rebuild-2016-05-29/Attempted/postgis_2.2.2+dfsg-2_amd64-20160529-1510

On https://wiki.openssl.org/index.php/1.1_API_Changes you can see various of the
reasons why it might fail. There are also updated man pages at
https://www.openssl.org/docs/manmaster/ that should contain useful information.

There is a libssl-dev package available in experimental that contains a recent
snapshot, I suggest you try building against that to see if everything works.

If you have problems making things work, feel free to contact us.

Only packages linking to libssl/libcrypto should be affected. I'm
not sure why you build depend on libssl if you don't.

[DebianGIS-dev] Bug#420320: libgdal1-1.4.0: Missing shared library.

2007-04-21 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Package: libgdal1-1.4.0
Version: 1.4.1-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

It seems that libgdal1-1.4.0 is missing it's shared library. The -dev
package has a symlink for it, but the library itself is missing:
./usr/lib/libgdal1.4.0.so -> libgdal1.4.0.so.1.11.1

libgdal1-1.3.2 seems to have alot more files than libgdal1-1.4.0, so
more might be missing.

[DebianGIS-dev] Bug#421992: libgdal1-dev: Should depend on libhdf5-serial-dev

2007-05-02 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Package: libgdal1-dev
Version: 1.4.1-4
Severity: serious

Hi,

Your package ships an .la file (/usr/lib/libgdal1.4.0.la) which mentions
the /usr/lib/libhdf5.la file in it's dependency_libs file. You don't
have a dependency on libhdf5-serial-dev and that's causing other
packages to fail to build. Please add a depends on libhdf5-serial-dev.

[DebianGIS-dev] Bug#421992: libgdal1-dev: Missing depends on libcurl-dev, libltdl3-dev, libsqlite3-dev

2007-05-12 Thread Kurt Roeckx
reopen 421992
thanks

Hi,

The libgdal1.4.0.la file contains:
dependency_libs=' -L/usr/lib /usr/lib/libgeos_c.la /usr/lib/libgeos.la
/usr/lib/libodbc.la /usr/lib/libodbcinst.la /usr/lib/libltdl.la -lxerces-c
/usr/lib/libjasper.la /usr/lib/libhdf5.la -lmfhdf -ldf -logdi -lgif
/usr/lib/libtiff.la /usr/lib/libjpeg.la -lpng -lnetcdf -lpq -lrt
/usr/lib/libsqlite3.la /usr/lib/libcurl.la /usr/lib/libidn.la -ldl
-L/usr/lib/mysql /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.la -lpthread
-lcrypt -lnsl -lz'

You'll need a Depends for each of those .la files in it, which gives:
- libgeos-dev
- unixodbc-dev
- libltdl3-dev
- libjasper-dev
- libhdf5-serial-dev
- libtiff4-dev
- libjpeg62-dev
- libsqlite3-dev
- libcurl-dev
- libidn11
- libmysqlclient15-dev

missing:
- libltdl3-dev
- libcurl-dev
- libsqlite3-dev (You have libsqlite0-dev)
