[SlimDevices: Plugins] Biography plugin problem when launched from Spotify track

When I open the track details for a Spotify track I can select
Biography if I have the biography plugin installed.

However, it doesn't seem to work, it only outputs the following in the
server log:

Code:

trying to run function coderef [Plugins::Biography::Plugin::cliQuery]: [Can't

Question: Are you interested in IR-over-IP?

- Yes, I'd like to have IRoIP.
- No, I don't care.

Okay, so nothing's working yet, but it looks like my problem at the
moment might be in the interpretation of the XML file.

The remotes section is as you wrote it, Indifference and as far as I
can make out the menus and profiles sections are similar to the
example XML file. Have I made a mistake somewhere?

As you can see from the log, the warning is from the function
CommandDuration() in Protocols.lua. It looks to me like tonumber(v, 16)
is returning nil but I can't see any reason for this in the XML
(although without a stack trace, it's difficult to see immediately
where the parameter is coming from). If I have some time later, I'll
try to work out how to print diagnostic messages to the log and see
what's what.

I just realized there is a global search feature where plugins could
register. It seems like you register the plugin by calling
Slim::Menu::GlobalSearch-registerInfoProvider which will make the
plugin appear as a source under the Search menu. Would it be possible
for the Spotify plugin to register itself this way to make it available

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Scan export to MusicIP in ubuntu

2010-07-28 Thread dbinder101

Thank you for your assistance. I've solved the problem which is...it was
working fine the entire time! The reason I thought playcounts were not
being exported was because I was checking the playcounts with the MIP
GUI and sorting the Playcount and Last Played field to quickly see
which tracks were updated and nothing was showing up. After reading the
contents of the log files, it looked to me that it was actually being
updated so I decided to create a filter within the GUI to show a list
of all tracks that had a playcount 0 and, lo and behold, the proper
tracks appeared within the filtered list. Very strange that it doesn't
appear correctly within the sorted columns of the entire library.
Again, I want to thank you for your quick suggestions, it actually did
help me in getting to the bottom of the mystery.

Do you have the Show all 3rd party plugins checkbox checked in the

Apologies, you have discovered a bug in the DENON protocol converter.
It was a pretty trivial one, I was missing a space so there were two
hex numbers joined together which couldn't be interpreted. Anyway, I
have fixed it. Your xml worked fine once I fixed the bug so your
Controller should start sending ir codes. Whether those codes are
correct is another matter...

SqueezeIR v0.92 (note the lack of the word 'Beta') is available for
download from the repo. The only change is this fix so just use the
Applet Installer applet to update the Controller, no changes are
necessary on the server.

Ok, that explains it, this is a manually installed plugin and upgrades
to manually installed plugins will never show up in SBS
Settings/Plugins. To be able to see the upgrade, you will have to:
1. Remove the plugin you currently have installed
2. Restart SBS
3. Goto SBS Settings/Plugin and select to install Super Date Time
(which should now show 5.9.3pre1 if you have my testing repository
configured).

It works perfectly to manually install plugins if you like to keep
doing that, it's just that you won't see available upgrades in SBS web
interface for them and the installation process will be a little bit
complex since you have to manually unzip and manually restart SBS.

It works for a while, then later on it will stop with the following
(Windows 7). Spotifyd.exe is working and I'm connected to Spotify (I
can see playlists, etc.) but it tries to play each track and it seems
that the streaming is failing. If I restart Squeezeserver all is OK
 again. Any ideas?

Update - this may have been caused by me logging in and using the
Spotify app on another machine whilst the Squeezebox wasn't being used.
Having said that when I logged out of the Spotify app it didn't start
working again - only sorted by rebooting Squeezeserver. What would
happen to this plugin if you logged into Spotify elsewhere or even if
it were connected to the Spotify via their app at the same time? Can
you trap someting and write it to the log?

Spotify explicitly prevent you playing music from the same account on
two machines at the same time. This may be the cause of your problem,
but it usually means that the two applications will fight each other
with the most recent one stealing the playback from the other. Could
you look in the helper app log (settings page) and see what it says?

Hi, just wanted to say this is fantastic and thanks.

Is there any way to make this work for Slimp3?

 Steve

Sorry no - it needs a Squeezebox2 class player or newer. This is
needed due to the way the audio is streamed direct to the player rather
than through the server.

A couple of issues with Playlists:

 1. The order the tracks are played are not in the order shown as on the
actual Spotify interface, they tend to rearrange the order at random.

 2. How do you add tracks to a particular Playlist from the Squeeze
interface whether its the laptop or Duet handset?

Bloomin great app by the way.

1 - it should be in the same order as the list was received from
spotify (do you have shuffle playlist on?)

2 - can't edit Spotify playlists using the plugin at present. Mainly
as I can't find an easy user interface for doing this - any suggestions
would be welcome.

Pretty much the conclusion I'm coming to, reasonably happy at 7.4.2, but
would be interested to know if this happens on 7.5.1?

Can't see how this is a plugin specific problem it sounds like
congestion at the BBC end. If you have plugin.bbciplayer.rtmp logging
set to debug do you see anything more - I suspect its just not seeing
anything from the BBC end.

Is this on a Touch/Radioor older player (Touch/Radio use rtmp playback
code which is part of the firmware rather than using the server so you
won't see as much debug with these)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2010-07-28 Thread GoCubs

Sorry guys for not posting anything since the Weather.com site redesign
a couple weeks ago. I've been absolutely insanely busy at work and as
much as I like keeping the plugin current and working unfortunately it
doesn't pay my bills!

I hope to have some free time this weekend and I'll look at the
hotfixes that have generously been posted and roll them into a new
release along with any other tweaks.

Thanks again for your patience.
