For logging you only need to set plugin.bbciplayer.dash to INFO - with everything logged there is a lot of "noise" Just to be clear - this is a single player - not a number of player synced. Purely for DASH. If what I think is happening, it is the same as I saw on another Windows systems and bizarrely I think it is because the system is going too fast and demanding audio when none is available and swamping the system. I have been working on a change but I'm not sure if it is good for Listen Again . LMS 7.8 runs fine on this, transcoding 320kbps AAC for my Receiver. This is a far less powerful server than mbg has, so I don't think server performance can be relevant to his problem. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Having been somewhat confused as to the purpose of this plugin, and then learning that it should also work on the video version (I have the recent one bought just out of interest) I thought I'd give it a try. It's connected to my TV via HDMI. I used the standard release of the plugin, with the configuration totally standard, and played 16/44.1 tracks. I get sound, but no artwork on the TV (the reverse of a comment on another related thread?). The artwork option is on (as per standard). I then went back to use sq2u in my normal way, and it wouldn't work at all, with the player crashing every time I tried to start a track. Having stopped and restarted my slightly temperamental UPnP player I still got player crashes. I stopped and restarted sq2u, still getting player crashes. I stopped the chromecast plugin, and all worked fine. Odd. I only did this test out of idle interest - I can't see myself using it (If I want to I can use UPnP straight to the TV without using the Chromecast), and I don't know if others would want to use the video version. However, if these results are of any interest, and you want logs (maybe in the New Year!), let me know. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. As with many others, I appreciate the work going on by bpa and others to keep this plugin up to date. Just wanted to mention that I have the same issue with the DASH streaming as I had with the HLS streaming - that is, that on the legacy players like Boom that require transcoding due to fewer native formats, there is frequent buffering and the stream is essentially unlistenable. On newer players like Radio, it works fine. I'm using the non-UK streams. And, it's a pretty powerful server (Core i7-3770, 32GB RAM, Windows Server 2012, OS and LMS running from SSD) with no sustained competing loads and no observed CPU contention. mbg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3200 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It's found both my Chromecast players (one an original and the second a new Chromecast Audio) and the music 'appears' to play correctly but neither devices are producing any sound. They are silent. I've rebooted, restarted and de-powered server and devices, but no joy. Running squeeze2cast-win exe is ticked in settings. What should I look at to diagnose the problem? Thanks for any help. Thanks Ian. I've tried flac, BBC radio (live and listen again) and mp3. Volumes on both LMS and the two audio devices are set to a reasonable level. If they were receiving audio they would definitely be making a sound. A guy (SlimPvc) on the Chromecast thread has just reported 'exactly' the same problem. Sp thatnks very much. And while I am here. Thank you very much indeed for this plugin. It is crucial to my continued use of LMS. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
I've uploaded a dev-5. The main differences are: - All UPnP actions are now queued properly, this is cleaner but might cause a different response behavior / timing - Tracks over one hour were rolling over to 0 - Removed an option that I initially though was needed for NamUniti to pause & reposition correcty (can somebody check ?) - Add full buffering (-5) HTTP streaming mode that forces a buffering of the whole audio file before answering UPnP player track request. This allows to send a real size to player as some player are really finicky with missing HTTP length - Response to players asking twice the same track is now 404 (not found) instead of 500 (server error) - armv5 static build is back - Add powerpc build (static and dynamic) - all builds (avec OSX) are made using QEMU - accessible from configuration screen I don't have much time for test, so feedback highly appreciated but expect some issues LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. You don't even have to stop the running version. So, download LmsUpdate and use the manual install function in DSM Package Center. That's it!
