Thanks for testing!

There is not much you can do wrong here. Seems like I might be the only
one having issues :-)
May be time to reinstall DSM and clean up, after so many test
runs/builds.

Info would have been good enough :-).

I checked the "Actress" case and clearly see that it's getting album
information. Did you check the "Only show my library's albums for my
library's artists." option? I see that the plugin is checking some
albums and they all return "I'm not in your collection". This might
prevent them from being displayed.

On Warn level logging there is nothing from Spotty at all. On Info/Debug
there are thousands of lines. Not sure this is normal or not? I've
uploaded a zip file with my log from starting in the Spotty page,
browsing into my library and then into the Acress page a couple of
times. There don't seem to be lines saying not connecting or errors.
One thing to say is that clicking on a link in the web interface doesn't
always register and sometimes you have to wait a while (a few seconds),
but I've assumed that's normal.

The log is here:

have seen a couple which had them, but now can't anymore. One
possibility is that these are very old follows, maybe they are not quite
the same as the new ones?

I need to know what URL the player is trying to grab, can you enable
these logging level to debug (in settings, advanced, logging)

(network.protocol) - All Player Protocol Logging
(network.protocol.slimp3) - SliMP3 Protocol
(network.protocol.slimproto) - SlimProto (Squeezebox / Transporter)
Protocol

It will probably be a lot in server.log, so would be better to clean it,
enable logs and then try and zip the server.log.

Well, normally the client would take care of the FLAC files, yes. But if
you want to stream PCM, you have to tell the server to transcode the
Flac file first, server side. To do this you have to disable the first 3
options (AIFF, FLAC and MP3). If you start a new song after changing
these setting you would see that the FLAC file is transcoded to PCM
(click on the M icon next to the playing song).
On my server, this is not working and the all songs (FLAC) in the
playlist are skipped when using LmsRepack.

Also, I did the LmsRepack Update this morning and something strange is
now happening... On two of my Raspberry Pis
when Listening to streaming Radio after about 20 minutes of listening
the Streaming sound was replaced with a 'Motorboating sound'
That would not quit until I powered down the Pi and powered it back on.
Did it twice so far on one of the Pies...

Never experienced this before, so I've got to suspect something in the
update I did to LmsRepack this morning.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty v1.1.0

2017-08-24 Thread Wigster

Hi, Spotty 1.3.3 on latest LMS nightly on Windows.

When I go to library/Artist/ I do not get
an option to list the albums/singles etc for that artist. There only is
Top Tracks, Songs, Artist Radio etc. If I then browse to some Related
Artist, I get the full list of albums etc, as I think I should have
initially.

If I go to that Artist through search, the whole list is there.

Happens both for web interface and iPeng.

I have the multiple user account shown separately. All on a family
premium plan.

Hey Philippe - just checking in on these 2 challenges. To add
additional data to the metadata/coverart issue, I've added the new
Spotty app to my LMS, and am getting the same result as Pandora at my
AppleTV: music plays perfectly and artist, song and duration metadata
come thru, but the covert art does not. Here's a log snippet on what
Spotty is sending:

[09:54:59.696020] PlayerThread:466 [0xa99210]: idx 38

Secondly, anything I can do to help or provide logs re: the BIND error
when attempting to start squeeze2raop on a LibreELEC x86-64 server?

Thanks again for all the great work on this.

Flac files normally play because the client supports this. If you want
the server convert the Flac file to, let's say, PCM, this might not work
in LmsRepack.

Timing info is independent of audio. At the start of playback LMS gets
told how much time to display and then it just counts down but it starts
countdown from when play has been pressed LMS has determined it is
playable and not when audio starts.

The program duration has to be divided by max segment length to get
number of segment. Segment duration vary, for BBC it is usually about
max 6.4 (floating point) but they are not exactly 6.4 secs. At one time
BBC complained that plugin was always trying to fetch one too many
segments beyond end of program so I thought I had it fixed - looks like
it ias now too conservative.

2017-08-24 Thread Stig Nygaard

I just tested playing 24bit/96kHz music from my home collection on my
mobile via VPN/4G. Transcoding with LAME should be triggered by this
(everything with bitrate >320kbit/s should be transcoded with LAME when
streaming to my mobile devices). I can't see the bitrate or format on
OrangeSqueeze/SqueezePlayer, but since it played flawlessly, I assume
the transcoding happens as expected.

Yes, I'm using Spotty. Works perfect home using my RPi3/Max2Play based
player, and even though I would normally use the native app on my
Android mobile, playing music via Spotty (VPN/4G) also works fine on my
mobile.

With my setup/players there probably hasn't been any need for flac->pcm
transcoding. So no, I don't know if that works. I can look at it when
I'm home if I can find out how to set it up. I've always found the
settings controlling this rather confusing.

Server side transcoding is not possible in LmsRepack (atleast on my
system), but is in LmsUpdate or the official Synology Package.
So if I want to transcode a FLAC file to PCM, this will not work in
LmsRepack. Files are skipped at the client side.
Same files with LmsUpdate will play without a problem on the client.
I didn't had the time yet to find out what is working and what is not.
It looks like that LmsRepack is still looking for libs in the location
of the official Synology package (or LmsUpdate). If this package is
installed alongside LmsRepack, transcoding will work as normal.

The timer is "disconnected" from the playback - it is like the program

The time info on the playing bar is not accurate and is updated separate
to the audio being played.

Have you checked whether you can hear more audio on BBC iPlayer when
played thriough a web browser compared to same program played through
plugin.
During development of DASH I used "tweet of the day" and checked many

Sometimes 7 seconds sometimes 4 seconds but always early. It plays to
the end on the Android iplayer app. Because this program does not seem
to have any credits at the end it cuts off in mid sentence.

I have now looked at the Squeezebox screen while listening to a program.
I have Now Playing set to show Time Remaining.

As far as I can see (it's a bit difficult, as my reaction times may be

stops at three or four seconds.

Yes, it says "Buffering" and "Shairtunes Title - Shairtunes Artist". As
the AirAudio app is also capable transferring audio streams via DLNA I
tried that and it works with, at least with one Boom at the same time.
So that's some kind of workaround but I would really love not having to

On my previous Netgear NAS I could run LAME transcoding at max quality,
somehow that doesn't seem to work reliable on the current Synology setup

it works as long as I keep it at a medium quality.
