Michael, thanks for that. I am trying to think of anything in my system that may have changed since earlier in the year when Spotty was working. Apart from the obvious of LMS updates and Spotty updates, all I can think of is changing to pCP 3.5.0 a month ago. I wonder if it is possible for be to reinstall an older version of pCP... Somehow Spotty fails to get a token for your credentials. Would you mind sending me your credentials.json file from the cache folder? Thanks, received it - and it allowed me to access your music collection. Which means the file is fine. Why it fails on your system, I really have no clue. The following command will rip track 5 in WAV format and save it in a file called trackrip.wav. You can use this command (i.e change 5 to whatever track you want to rip) to test if the white noise is coming from icedax. Personally I don't think so. Code: icedax device=/dev/cdrom --output-format wav -gui output-endianess=little -quiet -track=5 - >trackrip.wav bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47288 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Are you using a DAC ? If so how is it connected USB or other (e.g. i2s) ? How is the Pi connected to network ? During buffering the player is told not to output data so "output" will be waiting for audio data. The plugin has nothing to do with this just LMS. If you are using a DAC the DAC seems to generate white noise when waiting for audio. If there is USB DAC, a USB CD drive and wired Ethernet - then you may be having problems as these could all use same USB chip. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47288 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The white noise only happens during buffering and before it starts to play. It is not fixed to a track and it may or may not happen to the same track again. As long as music stops and waits for buffering, then there is a chance that it may happen. When it happens, the dvd rom will spin erratically then only it will resume normal and music starts to play. philippe_44 wrote: > I've upgraded Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA to 0.30 for all OS & Perl versions, so > I don't understand why it is trying to load "Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA object > version 0.28". There is a search path order conflict something I guess In my case I run LMS on a SheevaPlug (armv5tel) running Debian Stretch, which in LMS terms is architecture -arm-linux-gnueabi-thread-multi-64int-. You don't provide the -Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA- binary for that OS. Although the -shairport_helper-armv5te- continues to work just fine. It was working before the plugin update because, quite inadvertently :), I already had the Debian package -libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl- installed. It is at version 0.28 on Debian Stretch. And the pure perl bit of the -Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA- module included in your plugin was also at version 0.28 (I think). So both the perl XSLoader and the AutoLoader found the relevant bits in my platform perl installation, instead of the plugin, and all worked without conflict. Now you have updated to version 0.30. So the XSLoader fails due to the inconsistency. The AutoLoader works as before, but it is collecting the bits from the platform 0.28 version, which may or may not be consistent with the bits that come with version 0.30. My simple solution is to delete the -lib/Crypt- subtree from your plugin. That resolves the conflict quite effectively ! And now all continues to work beautifully, so thank you very much for your efforts. You might consider moving the pure perl part away from the top level of the plugin's -lib- and burying it in the version/architecture sub-trees. That should remove the potential for conflict on my "partly supported" OS. Are you inadvertently making life too difficult for yourself by providing -Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA- ? As a Debian user I have no difficulty with installing the relevant package. But I don't know about your other customers. Is there is a requirement to use version 0.30 ? 0.28 still seems to be working fine. mrw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38299 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

For theplugin to work it has to use icedax/cdda2wav and have access to the cd drive hardware. 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Max2Play Webinterface for Mediaclients (Audioplayer, Squeezeserver, Airplay, XBMC)
Hi fahzz, Thanks for question. We support Spotify with two distinct solutions. MHerger's Spotty solution for LMS Spotify and the Spotify Connect player plugin for dedicated players. We also have a Google Music solution for the LMS that is installable from our web interface. Otherwise, the LMS solutions for other services should also work. We have users with Qobuz, TIDAL and Deezer plugins running on their Max2Play with Squeezebox, but we are not as familiar with these LMS solutions. As Max2Play uses the default LMS installation, all 3rd party plugins for these services should work as well. Hi Philippe, So I've been tinkering and have managed to find a workaround. My LMS has the proper 192.x.x.x IP address and you can see from the log that the UPNPBridge plugin knows that too. Michael Herger says that the CLI entry in the log is reporting the IP of the device connecting to it, in this case UPNPBridge, so I guess somehow the handler gets the wrong IP and assigns the 169.x.x.x IP to the new players. The seems to be the result of the fact that the machine that LMS is running on actually has 4 Ethernet jacks, of which 3 are disconnected. When I disable the 3 disconnected jacks, UPnPBridge properly assigns the IP of LMS to the new players in creates and I can now control them OK. Somehow UPNPBridge must be using the wrong network connector as the device it thinks it is on. This was also the case in 0.2.x, but the old code still managed to work enough to control the devices even when the IP was from the 169.x.x.x range.
