Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks
Thank you for this thread! I found a little problem in the German translation of the settingspage. Nearly at the end, there is this sentence: "Die Standartwerte zu verändern kann", this had to be: "Die Standardwerte zu verändern kann", so only change the "t" into a "d". In the last line you find the same error: "Standartwert=0.5", this had to be "Standardwert=0.5". carsten_h's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112122 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks
This thread is for ongoing community support of the SuperDateTime (SDT) screensaver plugin originally created by Greg Brown (@GoCubs). Original SDT thread: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?14327-Announce-SuperDateTime-Current-Date-Temperature-and-or-Baseball-Screensaver I began supporting SDT in December 2014 when Greg Brown's job took him out of country and he was no longer able to maintain it. At the request of a few users I have started this new thread to make it easier for new users to find current instructions for installation and use. Please begin using this thread for discussion, questions, support, and announcements of new SDT releases. INSTALLATION To install the SDT plugin add the following repository URL to the "Additional Repositories" section at the bottom of the plugins page in LMS. After clicking "Apply" SuperDateTime Screensaver will be available for selection. Select SDT and click apply again. After restarting LMS SuperDateTime is available for use. BASIC SETUP Begin by navigating to LMS->Advanced Settings->SuperDateTime Screensaver. Set your location in the WEATHER.COM IDENTIFIER field. Pay attention to the format used. If an invalid format is entered, SDT will revert to the default location for Chicago, IL USA = 60614:4:US Additional settings are available at the player level for Boom, SB Classic, and Transporter players. Navigate to LMS->Player->SuperDateTime for these settings. TOUCH/RADIO/CONTROLLER SETUP For Touch, Radio, and Controller the Custom Clock applet should be loaded using the menus on the player or controller. Several Custom Clock screensavers that include SDT information are available after loading the Custom Clock applet. You can customize the Custom Clock screens or create your own screens through the Custom Clock Helper (CCH) plugin. The Custom Clock applet and Custom Clock Helper plugin were created by Erland. Refer to Erland's thread https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?68269-Announce-Custom-Clock-applet-for-Touch-Radio-Controller for more information and community support for Custom Clock and Custom Clock Helper. Ok, I didn't get the "favorite" part. Seems to work pretty great! Oh. Except, the scan killed one of my Custom Browse menus. Like all scans do. Every time. :( Any particular error? If I'd wipe and scan everything, when would OMLI scan the library? Is it included in the "first" scan (thus before Custom Scan kicks in)? It's a "post-scan" importer, but with low weight. But this doesn't tell me the exact order. You'd see from Settings/Information whether it had been run before Custom Scan or not. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

And it is regardless if I am using it directly in Safari or as a webapp from the homescreen. ...a few minutes later "der Groschen ist gefallen"/"the penny dropped". I know why that happens. I set my Safari to show all wbpages in 85% because otherwise the text etc. is to big for me and to much place is wasted. When I set that to 100% everthing is looking fine. So it is not your problem! I've put this logs there, too. That's with the latest Spotty or old? If it takes Spotty that long to connect to Spotify's servers, then the timeout probably was a valid problem. The default async call would give up after 15s (IIRC), the fallback doesn't. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I have a weird problem since commit 32f71473e2165b9b345f4ed71c8856640afb1473 "Cancelling axios reqests sometimes leads to add behaviour, so instead use unique ID for each list request. Instead of cancelling, change ID, so 'cancelled' response is ignored." Ever since, after I have "fresh" aka cache cleared browser, going into the artists and albums browse list works for the first time only. Going back and pressing it again will lead to a forever showing spinner (well, didn't wait forever, so maybe it reaches a timeout, don't know that.). Clearing cache again & reload - voila, back at square one - One time possible to browse into the albums (or artist) list, next time it hangs. I went back to the commit before the one mentioned and it works. This behaviour can be seen on chrome and firefox (and the android app, if that matters). Hello, thanks. It is indeed normal that the upnp plugin does not detect google home. But it should detect the Onkyo amplifier without problem, since it is compatible. It is an On TX-NR686 amp. The reason why the BubbleUPnP Android app can be used with the Google devices is that it supports controlling Chromecast streamers as well as UPnP/DLNA streamers. Which makes it very odd that you mention the AirPlay Bridge detects the Google Home Mini (and the UPnP/DLNA Bridge a few months ago) - are you *certain* about this? There are some Onkyo devices support Google Cast so can be used as Chromecast streamers - Onkyo call this feature 'Chromecast built-in'. So it's possible that the BubbleUPnP app is detecting the Onkyo as a Chromecast device an not as a UPnP/DLNA streamer. The easiest way to tell on the BubbleUPnP app is to tap the 3 dots settings icon next to the Onkyo on the -Select renderer- screen. The screen that's then displayed will contain a -Chromecast transcoding- option if the BubbleUPnP app has detected the Onkyo as a Chromecast, but the option won't be there if the BubbleUPnP app has detected the Onkyo as a UPnP/DLNA streamer. BTW, what is your Onkyo model, exactly? Sorry for being ignorant here, but what exactly does OMLI scan? Does it compare what's in my library with Spotify or does it trigger a new local scan? Hello, Thanks to philippe_44 for his plugin. However, I encounter a major problem: my equipment is not detected. However, a few months ago, my onkyo amp and my google home mini were well detected. When I test Bubbleupnp on android, it is well identified by the plugin, but impossible for onkyo and google equipment. They are however well compatible upnp / dlna, and detected by Bubbleupnp However, I searched for a long time, in vain: I tried different parameters, complete reinstallation, etc. I specify that everything is on the same network. If anyone could enlighten me please! I decided to rescan my whole catalog from scratch and did a manual rescan of my online sources too. And this might have been the real culprit removed the iPeng cache. Those actions helped in removing most of the double albums. I've inspected the ones that remained double and in those cases there are slight differences in the naming of album or artist as you inquired about earlier. To give an example "D'Angelo" is interpreted diffrently then "DAngelo" (Pay attention to the single quote ;-)). Or another example "OK Computer: OKNOTOK 1997 2017" and "OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997 2017". I can live with that. Thanks for your help. You are welcome. Am currently working on the same sort of thing for CBC (Canada) ... I have it working for CBC Music (with hacks for what looks like horrors in their data because of timezones across the country). As for where to discuss radio stations. I'm not sure. There is a long running thread about what people are listening to now. Maybe something like that. However, to me it feels more like something for a wiki so that people can quickly search by type etc. I suspect that the best place will be specialist sites for particular music genre. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce - Song info plugin for ABC Australia radio
Paul, thanks for this. Especially useful for me, because I had no idea about ABC. I've just tried the jazz and classical stations, and all working fine, apparently timely and accurate. (I also tried your new KCRW what-are-they-playing plugin; I already knew about KCRW Eclectic, which I love when I'm in ther right mood, and again, all apparently working fine and accurately.) To my taste, the ABC jazz and classical stations have good content, if a little heavy at times. Which leads me to a separate, related point. The ABC plugin made it clear to me that there are still plenty of good (=to my taste) stations out there I don't know about. I wonder which of the forums here would be the place to get some other suggestions going, where we might share info on some good 'uns? I'd be happy to start a conversation about jazz stations, for example. Thanks again, Paul: two very helpful new plugins. whitman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112082 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
