Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
Is there a reason it has been removed? The integrated server was badly outdated, often running on the edge of the possible, unable to run plugins, terribly slow. And recent versions would no longer run. Is there a way I can roll-back to a slightly earlier FW (or is this not recommended). You should be able to put a copy of an older firmware on a USB stick or SD card (FAT formatted), and install from there. Find the latest official firmwares here: http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/8.3.0/. Copy the two "fab4" files. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.6 - sorting option for Albums/Artists/Songs, replay gain fix
Under Apps > Spotty > Playlists I see the playlists I made using the Spotify app. Under My Music > Playlists I see the same playlists, with "Spotify:" prepended. Now, when Spotty plays a song from Spotify, I can right click on the song in the web interface, select Add to playlist, and select one of the "Spotify: " playlists. However, the new song does not appear in the selected Spotify playlist. Instead a new playlist "Spotify " (without the colon) is created under My Music > Playlists, with only that song in it. Oh, that's an interesting question. And actually surprising it hasn't come up before. Here's what you're seeing: the Spotty menu presents you the data as stored on Spotify. Whenever you navigate there, the plugin requests the latest information from Spotify (ok, some caching is involved, but it's only a few minutes for personal content). The My Music / Playlist menu on the other hand is fed by the music scanner's database. It imports all content from Spotify, too, but keeps references in the local database to merge it with your local music. These references aren't updated "real time". But LMS is polling the service for changes every now and then (currently once an hour). Which means that that list would eventually update, but it can take an hour before this happens. When you add a track to a playlist from the Spotify menu, you change the Spotify playlist, not its local copy. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LMS + Spotify App: pause play controls not working properly
Here is another longer log which also features the volume setting to 49% issue. It starts after updating to the latest LMS 8.3. It was too big to upload without zipping. I see that those changes come in for a player called "UpMpd-UPnP/AV". Assuming that's using the UPnP bridge, would you experience the same problem with a "native" player, too? ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LMS + Spotify App: pause play controls not working properly
Almost there, thankyou. :) The behaviour I see now is if you pause a track in the Spotify app when using Connect it jumps forward . lets say a minute but no fixed amount, if it does not jump to the end of the track then pressing play again will indeed resume playback from the jumped to position. This did not happen previously, you had to move on to the next track. Better start the wrong track than none at all :-D Would it make a difference whether you waited only a few seconds between pausing and resuming, or more than a minute? ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Starting a DLNA stream to the LSXs switches them on here, and while you can't switch them off directly I'm sure you know they will switch themselves off after a period of inactivity (unless you tell them not to in the Kef settings). Starting a DLNA stream will also cause the LSXs to switch to WiFi and start playing that stream, so you can automatically switch source to DLNA from whatever it was playing previously. You can't use the bridge to switch away from WiFi, obviously. This thread has prompted me to reinstall the bridge and give it another go, and despite what I said earlie, I've been using it for the past couple of hours without a single hiccup. Perhaps things have moved on since I last tried it, and that's very handy for exactly the reasons you gave - no need for the remote, or the Kef app, LMS does it all. :) stevebaggs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62476 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115174 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I tested this on a Windows LMS as well as my usual Pi4 and in both cases the track progress in the Spotify app jumps to the end (for normal length tracks) when paused. In LMS the paused position normally looks OK and unpausing works but this track position is not fed back to the Spotify app. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk slartibartfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35609 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115202 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I can't reproduce it either it just seems to happen randomly. At the moment after setting everything up again after my issue where LMS wouldn't start after a reboot I have disabled the daemon checks to see if players remain available. I'll see how it goes. A couple of my players had their volume reset to 49 again but it looks like it wasn't at LMS restart but after checking the daemons. Logs attached But there's >30s between the daemon checks (which were just checks, nothing done), and the volume change. Could it be related to some Spotify app being started or something? @rgdawson Just wondering - I presume Squeezelite-X uses Ralphy's latest or a recent Squeezelite64 (or 32) binary? If so do you experience occasions when the binary fails with a Runtime4.dll error and a full reboot is required to restart it? werdeil wrote: > I think this is the reason, it is possible that I have 70% of artists > with less than 3 tracks Could you do a quick test for me? Copy the built-in playlist -Artists - Never Played- (= the file named -artists_13_neverplayed.sql.xml-) from the DPL plugin folder or the github repo to DPL's *custom dynamic playlist* folder (the one where users store their own playlist definition files). If you haven't set a custom path for it, it's probably in the LMS playlist folder (default). Then open the copied playlist file in any text editor (preferably one that doesn't add stuff like control characters) and change this: in line *2* (-- PlaylistGroups:Artists) delete the word -Artists-. = the playlist will be listed in -Not classified- = easier to find. in line *30* set the value for *totaltrackcount > 3* to 1. Then restart LMS (just to be sure) and try this playlist. werdeil wrote: > I don't have this kind of feedback on the material skin view I could have sworn it was there at some point but you're right. Listening live to More or Less on BBC R4 - it started at 09:00 (approx) and will finish at 09:30 (approx) but LMS UIs show a duration of 3 hours. Right now showing 20:00 minutes played and 2:40:00 remaining. On LMS web UI the remaining time sometimes flips between the correct remaining time and the long one. The previous programme was Today - which is 3 hours long ... so my guess is that it has somehow picked that. The next programme is Four Thought which is 15 minutes long so I don't think it is involved in this issue. I'll have another go at making it work in Material dark mode.
