Spotty certainly is outdated, as is LMS (if your footer is up to date). But if it can't reach the internet, then this doesn't really matter :-). If the system is really old, you might face issues reaching https resources using Let's Encrypt - like eg. mysqueezebox.com. You'll need a recent OpenSSL implementation and IO::Socket::SSL - which probably isn't given on a system stuck at LMS 7.9.1... Thanks - that's what I'll dig into next. It's most likely not set up correctly for LMS to access the internet. It's providing various file shares on the LAN, and running the LMS server software, but we're now on a sky router - another thing that's changed. Good shout. I'll do some research as to what access is required. Hello, hoping someone might be able to help - I'm having problems using spotty. I have an old Thecus N5550 NAS box which I've used (for years and years) to run the squeezebox server software, driving a number of devices round the house. It all used to work fine, then we moved house, and onto a new LAN. I've been battling to get this set up and working. I've got the server up and running again, but having connected a SB Touch I tried to use the spotty app to integrate with spotify. This failed with an error about an authorisation token not being there, so I went into the server settings and all seemed to be in order. So I deleted the spotify user and attempted to add it again. The authorisation process requires you to use the spotify app and go the playback devices, and select the authorisation option. This does not appear, so I cannot progress further. I've managed to extract the log files from the last couple of days, hopefully attached here. Plenty of error messages, at this point I'd be grateful if anyone could assist. I'm aware that my NAS box doesn't run the latest version of LMS - it's not straightforward to do this as it needs to be built into a package. Given that it was working with spotty very happily before the move, I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed. The main things that have changed are the IP address of the NAS box which hosts the server software, and I'm adding an SB touch that wasn't used previously. Sorry for the long ramble. At the moment the HLS streams are better than the shoutcast ones were, but if I read right, the RNP is for shoutcast streams and might barf at the HLS ones. Ill play around. I have been experimenting with the API to iHeartRadio song info. My code is working but their data quality is poor. The Now Playing track info is often more than 2 minutes late and sometimes not present at all. You can see it via the recently- played part of their site. Ill try some other iHeart stations before I give up on it. Almost all commands now support *touchscreen* interaction giving MediaServer *hybrid voice/touch control* for the best of both worlds (touch is only available under subscription). First off, the ImageList template (e.g. List Albums, What's Coming Up?) has a new look-and-feel and supports many more image thumbnails in a vertically-scrolling list. If you touch the *coverart* image then the item in question will *play* on the assumed player: 36439 The TextList template now has a play-me icon next to each text-entry which will play the item in question when touched. When relevant, the cover-art from the album in question will fill the screen as a semi-opaque background image: 36440 Listing *favorites* has a new custom template which displays the icon of stations when known, together with the recently-introduced numerical and dotted naming-schemes. But no problems when I use spotify connect with other music players like Moode audio or when playing music from the phone. So it's possible that spotty has something to do with this. First off, big thank you for all your work continuing to keep the Squeeze environment current over the years - it seems like you have supported additional features for longer than Logitech supported the original product. The screen shot was from IPeng. But its the same on web UI. When you select the radio station on the IHeart plugin, it adds all 4 feeds to playlist. I attach a similar screen grab from the webUI. I can also confirm that as of this morning, the HLS stream is displaying either the station name or the advertiser (for the most part) whereas the shoutcast stream is scrolling raw tags and not being parsed except for tracks sometimes. Ill leave it running on HLS but it already looks much better then the shoutcast streams. Scenario: Squeezelite-X plays music I pause the player After certain time the machine with LMS goes in hybernate mode (correct as configured) Squeezelite-X looses the conncetion (normal result) To wake the server via WOL I have two options: 1) Exit Squeezelite-X and start it again (WOL will send autmatically) 2) Open Settings / Uncheck "Wake server" / Apply / Open Settings / Check "Wake server" / Apply (WOL will send autmatically) Could there be a easier / smoother way to re-wake the server / send wol? I've just done a quick test on Z100. iHeart ad stuff is a mess. I get "adContext" only in thr HLS EXTINF - nothing in the ID3 tags. No "song_spot" stuff so no flags. I get no "adContext" displayed on WebUI or Material. "adContext" seems to be another way of inserting ads. FYI - I left the shoutcast stream running over my night with my Radio Now Playing plugin configured to intercept metadata for this station. I will do nothing with shoutcast streams. I'll look at PlayHLS to minimise the ad format messages which are specific to iHeart. Other stations use different formatting so it is functionality I'd prefer not to be in the HLS plugin as it will get out of control. Your info confirms that ad behaviour is quite varied and there are multiple cases. I don't usually test with Touch/Squeezeplay or Material UIs so I need to check if perhaps "adContext" display is somehow a UI specific artifact.
