[QUAD-L] Enemeez- For Personal Bowel Programs

2008-02-09 Thread wheelchair
I received this yesterday and talked with Julee. She has some new
information for anyone who was considering the use of Enemeez for their
personal bowel
program. This is especially kind for those who objected because of the
cost, compared to other products. I found it interesting that the
manufacturer
will now send a 2 week supply free to those with interest in the product.
I would however, give Julee a call on her toll-free line and give her 1st
hand information on what you want and that which you need. Comments are
always
appreciated.

Subj: Re: [QUAD-L] Enemeez [Scanned]

I just came across the posts regarding Enemeez. I work for the manufacturer
of Enemeez and help individuals through their transition during the trial
period. A persons bowel program is extremely individualized based off a
number
of different factors including diet, exercise, fluid intake, medications
etc. Enemeez continues to send free samples out to individuals so they can
acclimate their bodies to the product prior to purchase. Beyond this, we have
developed programs to make the product affordable for all income levels.
Medicaid in 32 states are currently covering Enemeez and for the states that
are
not, we’ve developed a patient assistance program offering the product at a
nearly 50% discount.
Something I would like everyone to consider would be how differently Enemeez
works verse the Magic Bullet. The Magic Bullet or (Bisacodyl) works by
irritating the inner member of the bowel. Due to the irritation, the body
contracts to produce a bowel movement. Enemeez on the other hand works as an
osmotic laxative by drawing water from surrounding tissues, incorporating the
water into the stool, expanding the stool, producing a natural stimulus. This
is
for the most part, how an able body works. Enemeez also softens and loosens
the stool.
Many of the individuals I work with are or were using the Magic Bullet. The
side effects they experience include episodes of incontinence—twice as
likely to happen with the Magic Bullet or bisacodyl suppository verse Enemeez,
burning or irritation, and a mucosal discharge up to 2 hours after using the
bullet. For most Magic Bullet users, there will be an acclimation period due
to
the harsh bisacodyl contained in the Magic Bullet. This is why we send
enough product to get the individual through 2 weeks of use. Most feedback we
receive, is that they feel completely empty, more confident and established a
quicker program using the Enemeez.
Thank you for your support of the product and at your convenience, I would
like to talk with you in more depth. I’ve included my contact information
below.
Thanks again!

Thanks everyone for all your suggestions! I started taking a multivitamin and
am trying to increase my protein and calories. I've lost a lot of weight since
my accident which hasn't helped my skin integrity. I know if I can get it to
granulate new tissue by keeping it covered I will be better off in the long
run. If I let it scab over when it heals I'll have an indentation and nothing
between bone and skin. I like the idea of using the new skin to toughen it up
after its healed. This site is great, you've given me so many more ideas than
my doctor has had. I will let you know how it goes and what works.

Don't forget to increase your consumption of Amino Acids in your diet as

I like direct action with no left doubts. Contact a lawyer that specializes
in Disability Law to draft you a letter on the definition of HomeBound. I'm
sure that there is enough case law on file with the courts acceptance of the

have it covered in plastic for your permanent file and exposure to all who

Hey wheelchair,

Im fairly independent with the exception of my routine. I d love to be
independant but my father just laughs at me when i mention it. To do my own
bowell routine i know i need access to my rear through the side of the commode
seat..I also need back support and possibly a seat belt. The only thing i
can think of is use my guadian rolling showr chair back over
toilet..possibly flip the seat with the access to the side. Ive also
considered buying one of those clamp on commode seats that mount to the tolilet
rim..they have plenty of access but no back support.

Does anybody on here have any ingenious ways they do this?

I don't do a bowel program either. I take stool softeners daily and eat
lots of fruits and vegetables. I suppose gravity is what makes me go. Once I
eat enough food, usually every three days, I will go on my own. The only time
I have a problem, is when I take an excessive amount of pain killers, then I
may get constipated. I just take Mirlax and that solves the problem.

Bemis or Church make a toilet seat with a 4 inch rise and back. Snap on
donuts are dangerous.
Ron, call Julee. We talked about just what you discussed with independent
use of the product and what it will take. She was very nice to talk with and
to. You and other have nothing to lose.

my bowell routine..I use majic bullets. Two questions..

1) What advantages are there with the enemeez plus or a majic bullet?

2) Ive heard more that one quad tell me they dont do a bowell
routine.if you dont have a routine what do u do to evacuate?

I checked out the site and they aren't very affordable at all. How do those of
you who use them pay for them?

Hey Mate,
Not sure if its right for you but I encourage to check out the Enemeez-Plus,
instead of the Enemeez.
Enemeez-Plus, helps prevent the burn and itch from a bowel program. You have
nothing to loose by asking for your free two week+ supply.
