2009-10-03 Thread John S.
I was like you. At first I just took them as needed. Now, I take almost the
maximum. I try not to end up short because the withdrawal is worse than the
pain I have to swap them for. I do order my drugs two days before I should
because, its ok to get them a day or two early. I usually have a dozen or so
extra. I set my re-order dates on my computer calendar when I get them so I
don't forget. I will have a social drink but it makes things worse if I
actually use it to fill in for oxys.
I can get oxy's on the street, also.
Sleep is a great pain killer and I can take tylenol pm's some nights. Befor
doing the bowel regime, I will try to avoid the narcotic meds and smoke a bud
to go to sleep with tylenols.

As a former state trooper and military police person, I was not necessarily
that tolerant of marijuana use back in the day, but once I was injured and
started to hear more about how people used it to control pain and
spasticity, it definitely changed my tune. I would have been laughed out of
my troop of by would have arrested a chronically ill individual or a
wheelchair bound person for using marijuana.

One of these days maybe they will legalize it and then I can get off the
three different types of spasticity medications I am currently taking.

John, you were so on target about the disrespect and other discrimination we
face on a daily basis. The only thing I can do is get out there and fight
the stereotype as much as possible.

your meds help? I can imagine how miserable you must be . I am one of the
lucky ones just experiences pain in my shoulders, neck and back and a lot of
stiffness and my spasticity has increased because of a sore on my foot.
Sometimes it increases when I have a UTI and I also experience a lot of
congestion

needing suctioning through my trach button. It keeps me out of the hospital
which is really good because I hate to go. They don't seem to know how to do

number of hospitals in the Kansas City area. I am sure you know what I mean.

Its all in the butter.

Back when, I learned people often boiled the marihuana in water to allow
the resin to rise. A stick of butter was added and melted. It would absorb
the
resin and then cool. You only had to scrap the butter off the top and
store. Use it in the brownies or cookies.
But that was back then.

2007-05-08 Thread Quadius

Thankfully I don't need pain medication for my problems, at least not yet.
I usually describe the pain on the right side of my neck as being like a
horrific sunburn that someone is clawing at with dagger like nails.
During the summer my pain seems to be most intense in the mornings and when
it is raining, but fortunately it abates after I have been up and moving
around for a little while. The winter is a whole other story. Of course,
there's also the intermittent burning pain just under my left clavicle.

The prices went up when S.S. put in the prescription program.  Medicare asks me if I suspect fraud to report it.  I wonder if this would apply as fraud?
