Reviewer adding files?

2012-03-06 Thread Brian
Apologies if I'm overlooking this, but is it possible for a reviewer
to add a file to their comment?

I'm thinking either a word doc with comments embedded, or a reference
file that relates to the review being done.

Thanks!
Brian

Re: Upgrading python versions?

2012-03-06 Thread junk
Unfortunately, I'm not able to upgrade the OS. Were I able to pick, I'd be
using a distro with debs.

I'm actually already running python2.6 in parallel (using the ActivePython
port). It's up and functional, I just don't know how to get RB to use
python2.6 now, instead of python2.4. ActivePython has a functional
easy_install but I forgot about wsgi. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have
to do some more digging.

You can set these in the site's conf/settings_local.py file.

Kinda looks like quick search might be busted. I'll look into this.

Option to hide inaccessible review requests?

2012-03-06 Thread Heinz Wiesinger
Hi!

I have reviewboard 1.6.4.1 setup with a couple private repositories. Accessing
the review requests is restricted to certain review groups, which works fine.
However, under "All review requests" I can still see all review requests, even
if I do not have access to them. Is there an option to hide them from this
list as well?

Grs,
Heinz

Where to specify a different mysql port number after reviewboard is installed?

2012-03-06 Thread Helen Poon
After reviewboard was installed everything was working.

Then I did a couple of things on the mysql side and now reviewboard is
broken. This is what I did:
- Changed mysqld port from 3307 to 3306
- Changed mysql bind_address from localhost to the specific server IP
so that I can access the database remotely.

I think the problem is that when I installed reviewboard I used the
default mysql : //localhost:3306.

Anyone can tell me if I change where my database is, where in the
reviewboard config that I have to modify?

There is an Edit box on middle right of the window, In the manual, it says
it's quick search, but it seems it can't search anything, you can type words
in it , but no result even you type enter key or click mouse.

all works well. we posted more than three hundreds items in one week, it is ok.

No idea, but I strongly recommend using Linux instead of Windows. We have
minimal Windows support and many of the third-party modules we use are not
tested on Windows. You can install Linux in a VM. We recommend VMware ESXi or
Workstation Server.

Also, you will want, at a minimum, Python 2.6. We'll be phasing out 2.5 support
over the next release or two.
