If dealing with candida, you should really check out bentonite clay.
After many rounds of antibiotics for diverticulitis, it was finally the

I completely agree with you that CS must be used prudently. If CS
is taken on an empty stomach, it will kill ALL bacteria in the
gut, whether friendly flora or foe flora. If CS is taken with
food, it won’t have as much of an effect (if any) on the friendly
flora. I make sure to take probiotics and CS hours apart of each
other.

As for someone who’s into holistic health who gets cancer and

we do…it’s time. But your mention of JM and the gut reminds me of
how important the gut flora is. Researchers even have a name for

Boron, Mineral Surprise
by Dr John Whitcomb

Boron, Mineral Surprise

References: Science Direct, Wikipedia,

Ever heard of boron? Not a very common mineral in mammals. In fact,
it's considered an "ultra trace"
mineral. Produced by spallation and supernovae, it is not an
abundant mineral, but is present in
many soils in a trace level. There is no obvious known animal use
for it as making rats deficient
has been a challenge requiring ultra pure diets. Rats then get lousy
skin and fur. It's very light
in weight and makes extremely hard crystals, allowing it to be used
as an industrial abrasive and in

high tech magnets and super strong fibers.

Imagine my surprise when I find that it has a surprising role in
humans. It is one of the most
effective known tools to reduce sex hormone binding globulin. It
also may play a surprising role in
osteoporosis and arthritis. In parts of the world where intake of
boron is less than a mg a day, the
incidence of arthritis is 50-70%. In those parts of the world where
boron intake is 3-10 mg a day,
arthritis is around 0-10%. That's just epidemiology, and we don't
have good human studies with

arthritis.

We do have a study showing boron's effect on SHBG. SHBG is Sex
Hormone Binding Globulin. It is the
protein tasked with transporting estrogen and testosterone around
the body. Hormones are based on
cholesterol, a fat, and fat doesn't dissolve in water. SHBG allows
them to be transported in water.
It binds about 99% of the hormones, leading only 1% in the
bioavailable or free form. The way birth
control pills work is to dramatically increase SHBG, thereby binding
virtually all free estrogen and
testosterone. The problem arises when you stop the pill, SHBG may
not go back to normal.

In fact, SHBG's continuing to be high may be a problem with men too.
Continued high SHBG leads to
very tiny levels of free testosterone. Lowering SHBG may be part of
how we raise the level of the

hormones we depend on for good health, testosterone and estrogen.

In this study, 10 mg of boron was given to eight healthy men for a
week. In that short time period,
their blood boron increased and their free testosterone increased
dramatically by 29%, mostly due to
a drop in SHBG. Interestingly enough, CRP, the main mediator of
inflammation, dropped dramatically
as well. This is a terribly short study, with a tiny number of
participants, but it opens a door to
think about the benefit of boron. Then, I look at the ingredients in
my most effective bone builder,
Pro Bono, and I see 2.5 mg of boron daily. The literature on boron
and calcium and bone metabolism

is thin, but it suggests we do better when we have more.

www. What will work for me. I had no idea that boron played such a
big role in general health. I'm
sort of fascinated that this arcane, micro mineral might be so
useful. I'm determined to follow this
further. Between lowering CRP, lowering SHBG, raising testosterone,
lowering calcium excretion, we
might have a whole host of reasons to consider this spallated
mineral to be a little superstar. And
it's fun to learn the term spallation. I'm adding boron to my list
of minerals to use for arthritis,

inflammation and SHBG management.

Pop Quiz

1. Boron is a critical element for human health. T or F

Trick question. We don't really know. It's a micro trace element

but with many small studies showing beneficial effects.

Re: CS>he Ode....

Ode, does this mean we are better off letting our silver puppy turn off
automatically and not switching to SWAP mode for higher ppm's. I
usually run for an extra hour or -until I reach 20 ppm- on SWAP. If I
understand your answer correctly, I am contaminating my silver by doing
this. I always use distilled water. Some qualities are better than
others.. Right now Sprout's has the best in my area..or last time I
checked it.

what can we do to get it into the intestinal tract. tks Pat

Also Keflex is a good antibiotic. When I was a police officer I went to work
many a day sick. I would stop by my Doctor's office and he would pump me up
with Keflex and give me a prescription for them to take also. I took the Keflex
because I was allergic to Penicillin. This was years before I ever heard of CS.
Now I would say this. The wagon trains in the 1800's always put a silver dollar
in their water barrels to make the trip from the East Coast to the West Coast.
It kept their water sanitary or purified or something. It all makes sense now
since the Romans did it too.

If you have streaks going up your leg if it was me to be safe I would take the
Keflex for the inside. Take CS inside also and CS for the outside and put the
cream and bandages on top after the CS dries. I always lay on the bed and have
a fan dry it. Then I wet the bandage with CS and let the fan dry it and the
silver kinda stays in the bandage to kill germs.

Another safe way to get the equivalent of IV CS is to open a capsule
of MSM, drip CS into it until it's saturated, reseal the capsule and
put it under your tongue for at least 15 min. It enters the
bloodstream through the vessels under the tongue, more or less
by-passing the degrading of the CS by the digestive tract, and
reaches the whole body very quickly. Keep the tongue plastered to
the roof of mouth and your taste-buds won't notice. Then, when it's
dissolved, swallow quickly and chase with water or juice. I use this
protocol a few times a day whenever I'm threatened by an infection

Me too .. I love my Silver Puppy. I have both bases ...the magnetic

Hi An'tny,

I've had a SilverPuppy for 8 years and it has tirelessly, flawlessly
produced gallons and gallons of great CS for my family and friends.
We use it in the dog's water, as a counter wipe, as eye-drops, nasal
mist, gargle, additive to the night-stand water jug, and as a vehicle
of delivering other helpful tinctures, etc.
My favorite is Brooks Braldley's mix: 75% CS, 25% glycerine and 10%
DMSO, plus a dash of lavender or arnica. I put it in glass roll-on
bottles and it's wonderful for any sort of aches and pains, rashes,
strains. Makes a much appreciated stocking-stuffer, too, once friends
find out how well it works.

My SilverPuppy has the magnetic stirrer base on which the glass jar
sits. As we're often on the road in our Airstream, I took a clear,
thin, cutting sheet, taped it into a cylinder, and it put over the jar
and base for stability in a crowded little counter area.
I usually start making CS at night, before retiring, and my jar yields
1.2 qt. of finished CS in the morning.
I've never used any other generators, so honestly can't compare, but
my SilverPuppy has definitely earned my loyalty.

Be well and be welcome,

there should be instructions on the iron skillet when you purchase it.
You just coat it with crisco or coconut oil . inside and outside - .be
sure to set it on a baking pan when you put in the oven so no drips on
your oven.. I seasoned mine at a higher temperature... seems like
400-450 for about 6 hrs ..never wash with soap . and when you clean
it .. then sit it on a hot burner to dry it and wipe with oil before
putting away. Awesome. My skillet is really old... about 50 yrs. they
never wear out .. this is something you pass on to your kids . I have

slather up the skillet up real good with Crisco (this was back before

would
wipe out any excess, unabsorbed Crisco and you would be good to go. You never

Size- and Dose-Dependent Antiviral Effects of Silver Nanoparticles

NCTR scientists have demonstrated both size- and dose-dependent
antiviral effects of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in in vitro
assays using feline calicivirus (FCV) as a surrogate for human
norovirus. Treatment of cultures with 10 nanometer (nm)-sized
AgNPs (at doses of 50 and 100 micrograms per milliliter [µg/mL])
completely inactivated FCV within 2-4 hours of exposure, resulting
in a decrease in the viral titer, an absence of cytopathic effects
in Crandell-Rees Feline Kidney cells, and a reduction in viral
capsid protein levels; whereas no effect was observed with 75 and
110 nm-sized AgNPs. The use of AgNPs as antibacterial agents has
increased in consumer-use products; however, its use as an
antiviral agent is still an area of active research. This study
is now available online at Foodborne Pathogens and Disease:

Foodborne Pathogens and Disease - March 2016, ahead of print.

Dose and Size-Dependent Antiviral Effects of Silver Nanoparticles
on Feline Calicivirus, a Human Norovirus Surrogate

Aschalew Z. Bekele, Kuppan Gokulan, Katherine M. Williams, and
Sangeeta Khare

ABSTRACT

Objectives: Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) as antibacterial agents
are incorporated in many consumer products, while the use as
antiviral agents is an ongoing area of research. We evaluated the
antiviral properties of AgNPs of variable sizes (10, 75, and 110
nm) and doses (25, 50, and 100 µg/mL) at different contact time
points against feline calicivirus (FCV), a surrogate for norovirus.

Materials and Methods: Antiviral effects of the AgNPs were
determined by comparing the infectivity of FCV, the appearance of
cytopathic effects (CPEs), and the integrity of the viral capsid
protein in viral suspension treated with AgNPs with the untreated
controls.

Results: The 10 nm AgNPs at 50 and 100 µg/mL concentrations
inactivated the FCV beyond the limit of detection, resulting in a
decrease of up to 6.5 log10 viral titer, prevented development of
CPEs, and reduction in the western blot band signal of the viral
capsid protein. No significant antiviral effect was observed for
the 75 and 110 nm AgNPs.

Conclusions and Applications: These results demonstrate that the
antiviral effects of AgNPs are both size and dose dependent, thus
potential applications of AgNPs as antiviral agents to prevent
contamination of foodborne viruses need to consider size and dose
effects.

In addition to CS, try oil of Oregano. It kills the streptococcus
germ behind pneumonia and bronchitis. 3 capsules a day with approx
15 drops of Oregano, also rub Oregano diluted with carrier oil to
throat and chest. Should clear you up. That sounds like a lot of
drops but that is what is recommended. Good Luck

you don't need carrier oil in the capsules .. and you do need capsules
if you take 15 drops. oil just for the chest rub. most sub lingual
would be about 3-4 drops and not sure that is enough to kill that nasty
germ.

Thanks. i came to the same conclusion. Put it in coconut oil for sub

Making up a salve of oregano oil in cocoanut oil for bedtime chest rub.

The Austrian School outlook is best seen in the response of Ludwig von
Mises to this question: “Professor Mises, if you were given complete
power over the economy, what would you do?” His one-word answer
defines the Austrian School: “Resign.”

No.. I would usealmond oil, coconut oil, something like that.
Oregano is a hot oil so you want to dilute with something mild that
doesn't interfer with the healing action and that you can tolerate on
your chest. Pat Cassidy
