sublingual or the spray kind (methylcobalamin) is considered the best, as I said in the portion of email which you replied to. dee On 15 Aug 2009, at 21:18, Dianne France wrote: Can we emulsify B12? Bob We use sublingual B-12 now but it seems to take forever to dissolve. I just wondered if the same process could be used to encapsulate it and then could use it orally. Re: CS>Vitamin B-12
Not always true. Some "nutritional" yeasts contain no B12 http://vegrd.vegan.com/pages/article.php?id=964 For me the red star vegetarian support formula does not provide sufficient B12 as 2 TBS of it only supply 8 mcg. I regularly supplement 2000 to 3000 mcg B12, as I have a marker for B12 anemia. sol davidandrenee wrote: Ruth The best source I know of for vitamin B-12 is nutritional yeast. This is an energy drink though, and would have to get through the stomach acid. This is why the sublingual/spray types are better, because they go through the mouth membranes. dee On 13 Aug 2009, at 18:53, Day Sutton wrote: Zip Fizz has as much B12 as a shot from the doctor. Hi Ruth, the best form of B12 is methylcobalamin and it comes in a spray form by Advantage. This is the one I use and I've just had my B12 levels checked and they are fine on this. Other types just don't get through the stomach acid. Vitacost do this, but take some time to deliver, although this *is* the UK!
