[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS Media scanner not scanning albums correctly
Can anyone tell me why my LMS v8, even after a complete rescan this afternoon (it did this before the rescan by the way), shows some albums as if they are not albums but individual tracks? Like this (an "album" with 40+ tracks, different artists and NO year, but all in the same album): 33650 I cannot see in mp3tag why the LMS scanner is doing this. mp3tag shows this as a single album with 40+ tracks. And it's not the only album shown like this either. I have multiple opera recordings where the album name is the same for all tracks, but LMS displays them as individual items in Genre - Album view. And it's not Material either - the default skin shows the same. It's something that the LMS tag scanner is doing. It's really baffling. The WAV file does not appear in the folder. I guess it couldn't have been saved elsewhere. Trying to confirm the version of flac is the issue. IIRC One of the reason for the latest patch was to handle time format where fractions have to use period. Is your Vortexbox set up for non US/UK locale ? Separate from the File Types issue there does seem to be a CUE parsing issue as there are a lot of the "cur" module error which typified problems in Cue parsing. LMS actually gets to try to play the file using flac to convert but convert fails for some reason The "#3934-4148" is LMS indication of start time and end time to be played. Disabling plugins is always an option to narrow down the culprit. OK - I think this is more an issue about convert.conf rules & File Types handling. To see what is happening when playing fails.(i.e. With Flac disabled). Can you enable logging player.source to Info - remember to click Apply 1. Note time to start test. 2. Try to play a track (which you already know will fail) 3. Wait 10 secs. 4. Clear playlist 5. note end time. Copy all messages (no editing) from log file (see WebUI Settings/Information ) from start test time to end test time. Drop down is NOT empty, that is the question? It's not empty, but it's not chosen every time i renew page! Do you see volume slider? It's inactive! You need to chose Player every time after page reload. Just a thought - all my CUE files have exactly the same name as the corresponding FLAC file (apart from the extension of course). I notice that your example lists the flac file as "CDImage.flac". The majority of my library is in the form of album FLAC + CUE files. Many (most?) of my CUE files also have INDEX 00 and INDEX 01, but as BPA points out these have never caused me a problem. I'm now running LMS 8.2 and everything still works as before. However, there was a situation like this: If I set the flac decoding setting to native, the cue files plays. 33636 But I want it to be converted to PCM on the server. In this case, CUE files are not read: 33637 I couldn't decide what to do. Should I convert all of my image flac files to tarks? Myself (and others) have experienced this behaviour with linstalling LMS on an O2 Joggler. This is my routine, if you want to try; remove the logitechmediaserver (keeping the prefs and cache) Code: sudo apt remove logitechmediaserver re-install the logitechmediaserver Code: sudo apt install ./ once install is finished, go to the LMS web gui, if successful, configure LMS. There is an option in EAC to generate "unsupported" CUE file format. The problem usually relates to the use of the "INDEX" . IIRC Prior to a change in Oct 2020 - these cue file were processed incorrectly and but by accident managed to be playable. The change initially broke the "ignoring" of these files so it took a few iterations to have new change working and also "ignore" unsupported variations. However, A similar report to yours was posted in Jan but was unable to follow through in determining exact cause. I don't use CUE file so each time this sort of issue appears, it take a while to set up test to try tr replicate what is happening. I removed the tags and embedded CUE sheet in flac file. There is only CUE sheet file in the clastor. But didn't solved problem.
