I don't follow what you're are trying to achirve. You initially complained about icon and now you're altering the URL for a locally based OPML. It is not clear whether you are checking in browser or UI. I have found that when dealing with URLs - caches in LMS, browser and UI can result in strange results. So between tests, I stop LMS, delete LMS caches, clear browser caches, start LMS and then do a test. I wasn't able to figure out what was (neither in the network protocol nor in the LMS settings) and only the Transporter was effected - non of the other squeezeplayers. The issue disappeared after I reset my router to factory defaults and setup every new - what indeed was hours of work! So I guess there was some messed-up with network configuration/ names / IP-Addresses. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Network Test with Transporter
Last night something very odd happened to me that ended in a little panic attack and I like to share what happened! I started the network test on the Transporter using the Duet Controller. The Transporter was synchronized with an SB Radio. Effect: No chance of stopping the test. I stopped and restarted the LMS service and, out of desperation, updated the LMS to the current Nightly - reset the Transporter to the factory settings, try to find out what service was running, and at the end disconnected the LMS server on the RasPi 4 from power - all of this did not help - every attempt to turn on music was turned off streaming interrupted by the network test - I saw myself in front of completely rebuilding the LMS. I don't know what led to get out of the loop. Maybe a timeout - or any of my panic actions. I felt it had something to do with the fact that I restarted the Duet Controller! It really drives me crazy - but maybe someone can help me. Up to now I changed my favorite icons in the '/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/favorites.ompl'. Looking deeper into this I found that the empty favorites.opml file had a modified date/time of 27/04/2021 10:21. I am posting this in-case anyone else has a problem with missing favorites, in the hope that helps someone to identify a possible bug. I'm running LMS v8.2.0 from the LMScommunity Docker image on a Synology DS1511+ (which all works very well, thanks!) I'm somewhat confused though about the "new version available" notifications that LMS gives (green up arrow in Material Skin). I was on 8.2.0 - 1617991288 previously. Yesterday I changed the docker image to 8.2.0 - 1619728313 because of the 'new version available' notification. But I still get the notification, now I'm wondering what is going on? (Most probably it is my lack of understandig how Docker works :o ) I suppose pushing a newer docker image will trigger the notification, even if it is the same 8.2.0 version number? Hello, Two short questions if I may: i) When I add new albums/CD's to my music folder , for me they don't always seem to appear under 'New Music' for some reason following a rescan for new music. I can't find any specific setting that might effect this. Even if I perform a full rescan (manually) selected I get the same. Is there some suttle paraments taken from the content that determines it's presence or not. Or mereley the date it's added to the music folder. Can anybody throw any light on this please. ii) The latest server update process now smatly downloads the latest version of the server software. Simply following the given install instruction appears to install without issue. But I note it doesn't appear to remove the existing instance of the program , but merely replaces the current installation. Learned Linux/Unix people tell always best to uninstall first. I trust the developers know exactly what their doing so I wonder why this is OK in this instance ? I would let the pool mount under its name ie 'tank' and then check permissions on 'tank' and the folder in 'tank' that holds the music. Hi Sorry for the delay in response been away. Did try a delete of cache and preferences from the GUI. It did allow me to start the LMS and play from it but it would not let me set up material skin for some reason. Anyway as discussed the default was to reroot and start again. That's what I will do. Incidentally I have been running the LMS from an attached USB drive. When you expand the partition to 2000KB does that effect the operation of the attached LMS? Is there an order of when the expansion should take place ie after the attached drive is set up or before?
