I have "mixed feelings" about this feature and I'm wondering if I should not remove it. So erase your config and start from scratch, see if it plays. And yes, UPnP is a pain... and Roon does not support it so people use my bridge even in Roon :) I usually recommend starting with a simple set of mp3 or flac tracks first and see if that works. But I understand you might not have patience for that in which case, use AirPlay if possible on that model and if you don't like AirPlay then probably bin the whole idea before you get too upset and angry at LMS LMS 8.2 on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch, 1xSB3. This is the error LMS states when it find a player that cannot play WMA and there is no transcoding facility on the LMS system. It does not state any the format cannot play. For example, this is NORMAL when trying to play WMA file on Squeezelite-X and the LMS system has 34 party application to convert WMA to Flac. If it is failing for MP3 or Ogg, It looks like you have messed up settings. Cannot be solved with more info on what you have done and full logs with various logging levels enabled. > I think it's time for a new clean install. Better still upgrade the Firmware in the Radio. This message is typical of SSL/TLS support not being up to date (i.e. https fails with a timeout). Most station have transferred over to https from http and so station can suddenly fail overnight Even if the url is http - station often automatically redirect to https URL. In WebUI Settings/Information - what version of IO::Socket::SSL - it needs to be at least 2.02. What version of OpenSSL is running on your system ? bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115717 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] WMA playback not working
So sorry but I have to open this topic again. It seems that a more severe issue has developed. As of now I am no longer able to play any format (mp3, wma, ogg) on any player (pcp, slx, sbr). The server.log returns "Slim::Player::Song::open (413) Error: Couldn't create command line for wma playback for (file)" a LOT of times i.e. the playlist is run down and each item returns the same error. I think it's time for a new clean install. Other error messages occasionally appear but they don't seem to be the root of the problem: "([22-01-10 23:27:47.7357] Slim::Networking::Discovery::getFakeVersion (129) You're using a Radio with a buggy firmware not recognizing this version of Logitech Media Server. Please consider patching it. Until then we'll try to play nice and return a fake version number...)" WHAT? A lot of people have managed to get their upnp devices attached and working with Phillipes bridge but it is fiddly and its nothing to do with the bridge its the fact that upnp is crap! Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Fedora 31+ Support
Thanks! That worked. All seems to be right with the world now. Thank you for the quick feedback! I've committed the necessary files to 8.3. The next build should come with all you need. Please let me know if that wasn't the case. I'm not sure if you maintain the SPEC file for the Redhat build, but adding the line I suggested above might at least alert people as to the issue. That's mostly been contributed by more knowledgeable people than I am in this area. I'm not sure we'd want to block installation if the Perl version was wrong, as it's easy enough to compile if needed. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
