@Man In A Van - thank you for the RadioNet plugin suggestion, and of course thank you to @bpa, who has kept music flowing for SO many years now. martinlittle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35518 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

@nicklouse - thank you for that! I used to listen to Radio Puglia (Italian) on my Squeezeboxen, however that has now stopped & sadly disappeared. Will check out the other radio plugin suggested. martinlittle's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35518 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problems with TuneIn
You are aware that Tunein is no longer providing streams to many none UK radio streams due the the result of the court case brought by some record companies. https://torrentfreak.com/tunein-radio-infringed-sony-warners-copyrights-high-court-rules-191101/ "Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail." nicklouse's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=25954 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

However here's hoping. Migrating to 8.0.0 eliminates a whole class of problems with regard to the original "connection timed out" message. So if the problem recurs, the symptoms should be better defined. The nightly build of 8.0.1 has a few bug fixes over 8.0.0. 8.0.1 might be worth installing as a first step if problem recurs. http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.0 bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problems with TuneIn
It is currently working after updating to LMS 8.0.0 Thanks also to the replies I noticed that my mysqueezebox.com favourites are all defined as http and not https URLs. However I am confident that is not the main issue as the same problem happened when using the TuneIn app to browse to the same stations. The fact it is currently working is good news but not (yet) a confirmation 8.0.0 is the fix, it had a brief reliable period after upgrading to 7.9.3 as well. However here's hoping. jelockwood's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5947 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problems with TuneIn
Thanks for the responses. This particular computer is kept on Windows 7 as it is also used to run Windows Media Centre. I may however at some stage setup a new NAS and move LMS to that. I have just updated to LMS 8.0.0 and it shows IO::Socket::SSL is 2.0.68 It is indeed possible the built-in Window 7 SSL rootCAs and libraries may be becoming problematic. I have not noticed this because I rarely do web browsing on this system and also use Chrome or Firefox which are still being updated on it. I have just sent a registration request for RadioFeeds access to give that a go. It is strange it some times works, one might expect all or nothing. jelockwood's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5947 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

The " 'Connection timed out: Bad file descriptor'." usually indicated SSL issues and software incapable of handling latest https standards. The Windows version of LMS has builtin SSL libraries recently updated but I think 7.9.4 is latest 7.9.* with the update. Better to use 8.0.1 and if you don't want integrated network services/libraries - it can be disabled. Many stations have changed over to https (some with http fallback) and so has some of mysqueezebox.com infrastructure and respositories. So up to date SSL support is a requirement for LMS to run internet services & many plugins. In LMS WebUI Settings/Information check version of IO::Socket::SSL is at least 2.06. If not then you'll see odd symptoms. LMS versions 8.0.0 is release 8.0.1 is bug fix of 8.0.0 8.1.0 is development bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problems with TuneIn
@JELOCKWOOD I think it might be time to update the system. Windows 7 is dead and LMS v7.9.3 breathing poorly.:( First try updating to LMS v 8.0.0 http://downloads.slimdevices.com/LogitechMediaServer_v8.0.0/ Consider getting a raspberry pi and installing LMS on that (version 8.0.1). Plenty of help available here and elsewhere :) About TuneIn radio I have no idea, sorry.:confused: There might be messages in the server log (LMS HOme gui > Settings, BTHC, > Information Tab > scroll to bottom of page) Maybe have a look at this Plugin as a replacement ? http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/squeeze.asp ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problems with TuneIn
I have three Logitech Squeezebox Radio units. They are all linked to LMS running on a Windows 7 computer and I am now currently running LMS 7.9.3. I am located in the UK. I have had a number of stations defined in mysqueezebox.com and also as favourites on the TuneIn website. These stations show up in those matching locations on the Squeezebox units. The stations always play fine via the TuneIn website. The stations in my list are UK stations but as I am in the UK they work fine as mentioned via the TuneIn website. I am finding that many of the stations fail to play on my Squeezebox units -but not all the time-. Some stations e.g. Virgin Radio always work but stations like Radio X are particularly unreliable. I have entered the username in the LMS settings and the mysqueezebox.com settings. As mentioned even the problem stations some times work. Does anyone have any ideas why they fail? The Squeezebox shows different error messages for different stations. Currently Radio X results in 'Problem: Can't connect to server for Radio X' some other stations say 'Connection timed out: Bad file descriptor'. The exact same errors occur when using favourites in the TuneIn app, or browsing the list of stations in the TuneIn app or the mysqueezebox.com list. jelockwood's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5947 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113408 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
