Re: Ctrl-mouse left button click sometimes don't load the link into a new tab?
Fri, 04 Sep 2009 12:39:30 -0700, /Ant/: Has anyone noticed sometimes SeaMonkey v1.x sometimes doesn't register ctrl-mouse left button click to load a Web page in a new tab? A bit annoying that I notice once in a while at home and work. I know right click and open in a new tab always work. :( This could happen if there's a 'click' script handler attached to the link which returns false. The script always gets executed and the Ctrl+click doesn't take effect, but right-click and Open Link in New Tab works (as you've noticed) where no script gets executed. I hope v2.x fixed this. I don't think SeaMonkey 2.0 (nor Firefox 3.*) changes this. I think I remember there was rationale behind this behavior which one could find in the Mozilla Bugzilla database. -- Stanimir ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
Email problem
I'm having trouble getting the Sea Monkey Mail Client to work with my Yahoo account, it keeps telling me there is an password failure though the password I set works OK if I use the Navigator and log in manually. Re: Forcing a new Tab - possible
DoctorBill wrote: [Some] web pages (college sites) do not bring up a new tab when one clicks on a link. Right clicking the link does not give the option for a new tab either. When you encounter something like that, you can mark the last letter of the text just before the clickable element and make the end of the marked block the first letter of the text just after the element. Viewing the source code of the selection will show you (as Stanimir indicated) that what you have encountered is a script, not a hyperlink. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

BTW, I've used the Cox server for several years and just started getting this error. I think it's a Cox problem and have requested support, but thought I'd attack the problem from this side as well. Thanks, I get just about the same error message with Outlook Express, so it's a Cox problem. Re: Testing For SeaMonkey 2.0 Beta 2 - help wanted!
I read Robert Kaiser's message on the 5th asking for testing of the current SM2 beta. I installed it, tested some things and uncovered an installation problem in copying Mailbox data from SM1.18. To whom should I report my findings? I am not a localizer - did I jump the gun? W98se, SM 1.1.14 - How does one set/change fonts for Mail Newsgroup panels ?
W98se, SM 1.1.14 How do I set/change the font size (and the [default] encoding) for the fonts which are used to display the accounts and folders, and also in the panel that displays the mail message or news articles Subject: lines ? All of a sudden the printing, i.e. the font sizes in these panels has shrunk and become almost impossible to read, But I certainly don't want to change my screen to a lower resolution. i.e. I badly need to increase the font sizes! Also for news, in some newsgroups e.g. ukr.politics, the article Subject: lines, are not encoded as ISO-8859-1 and don't have the magic cookies to switch in the proper translations. So I'm wondering how to set the default translation for displaying these Subject: lines to some other encoding, e.g. windows-1251, or KOI8-U (or actually to be able to switch these on the fly, would be even better). -- Rostyk ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
