Delete or rename localstore.rdf while SM is closed and then start SM again.

Arnie, you have to set SeaMonkey to Offline or Online. So you can read
all the other groups whilst online, then select File|Offline|Download
sync now and the messages in your shut down group (if there are any)
will be downloaded for you to read.

A better option might be to set yourself up with another news server

Yes..I've been trying to do that in WORD, but often whatever the Message
was composed in is not readable by WORD.

All I get is the ASCII stuff in TXT form.

God knows where the Original crap came from !

I wonder if some of it isn't just Crtl-C'd off a web site (HTML ?) and
pasted into an E-Mail !(?)

I know many folk use Outlook Express.

But Googling the subject indicates (am I wrong?) that Outlook Express
must be run as one's E-Mail Composer.

Can I be run w/o connecting to the Internet just as an E-Mail editor of

DoctorBill

I have the same problem when forwarding a mail ... having a lot of
frames/garbage.

So i try with OutlookExpress.
I started OE and create a mail.
Then i select all in SM do a copy then paste it into OE.
There are no frames visibles ... i delete the maximum in can.
Sometime i had to click on Edit - undo because i deleted a complete
stuff.
Then i do the inverse copy in OE and paste in SM ! bingo , there are
frames (minder than before, but still more than one)... grrr...

Finally, i go to OE and do Edit - Source ... what is see is a html
page source in pure txt filles with div and a lot of not-needed
stuffs ...

So my conclusion is - no solution - we have to work with what we got.

What I did was to install Seamonkey on the new Mac, then launch it and
let it set up (or set up) a Profile in it's own Mozilla folder, then
deleted the contents of that Profile folder.

Then I copied the contents of the old Profile folder into the new
Profile folder on the new Mac (or disk). This copies the entire
contents of your previous Profile - saved Mail, settings, etc. - into
the new Profile on the new disk.

Correct procedure - i should mention that manipulation of profiles
should be done when SM is not running (and no quick-launch)

Yes - I left that out. Close all apps which may use you Mozilla folder
while doing the deleting/copying.

Hi,

After I upgraded to SM 2.0b1, and now b2 on Linux, SM claims: Cannot
find abook.map
Looking at the SM address book, it now contains only new Collected
addresses, none of the previous SM 1.x saved addresses.

All the old mails are found autmatically from the old profile path to

I have searched through my system and cannot find any abook.map file.
Any ideas?

If you notice these emails are in MIME. If anyone knows how to edit

strange lines and the text in text format and then the text in HTML

I'm using version 1.0.1 with SeaMonkey 1.1.17 on both Linux and Windows/XP:

I'm not sure if a newer version will also work with 1.1.X, but I

ABP v1.0.2 was the last version to work in SeaMonkey v1.x (v1.1.18 is
