Salut,

kokie pakeitimai bus daromi.

Re: [Talk-GB] Autumn Quarterly Project

2016-11-06 Thread Greg
Hi Phil,

The aim of the project is for mappers to use the FHRS data to improve the
density of POIs, addresses and postcodes in town centres (see
).
My comparison tool considers an FHRS establishment to be successfully matched
with OSM when the fhrs:id tag has been set to the FHRS establishment’s ID
(visible in the FHRS page’s URL) and when the addr:postcode matches the FHRS
postcode.

The tool can help by suggesting matches based on location and fuzzy string
matching – hence the ‘suggested matches’ map, and by displaying all the
relevant OSM objects and FHRS establishments on the overview map with some
useful links when clicking on each.

Your example is on the ‘suggested matches’ map so you could click on the ‘Add
tags in JOSM’ link, which will use JOSM remote control (if enabled and JOSM is
running) to load that OSM object and ask what potentially useful tags you would
like to add, taking data from the FHRS database. (You’ll need to format the
address properly afterwards.)

Should the establishment you’re interested in not be on the ‘suggested matches’
map, the ‘overview’ map takes you to the FHRS page
 (N.B. the FHRS ID is
therefore 71808) and you can copy the address details into OSM.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Greg

2016-11-06 Thread Jo
Hallo Denis,

De winkels hoevel natuurlijk niet per se op de gebouwen te wachten;

http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/51.19748/4.42559

Shop=convenience
Name=El buen vecino
Finance_agent=yes
Finance_agent:Banco_de_la_nacion=yes
Finance_agent:interbank=yes
Opening_hours=L-V 08:00-20:00
Payment=yes
Payment:sedapal=yes
Prepayment=yes
Prepayment:bitel=yes

I not at all sure that this is related but I have found that I can't
match certain establishments with the fhrs search tool or find them in
their xml file, yet your comparison tools is finding them.

An example is

Hyvue House

which is a Bed & breafast in Liskeard Cornwall. The address is Coldstyle
Road, but searching the fhrs data for the name with or without the
street name returns no results. Perhaps I misunderstand
osm-unmatched-no-postcode-379.gpx ? Am I wrong in assuming this only
includes places with an FHRS rating?

[OSM-talk-be] GRB-import voor centrum Antwerpen ?

2016-11-06 Thread Denis Verheyden
Hallo,

http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/51.21814/4.40740

gebruiken

Mvg,

Re: [OSM-talk] Taglists support for rendering examples

2016-11-06 Thread nebulon42
I have to strongly disagree with "have been written in the right way",
"correct", "incorrect", "problem", "should be fixed".

Both notations are correct and I have deliberately chosen the latter
one. The first one may be the right one for the problem you are trying
to solve. For the problems I wanted to solve the latter one was the
right one.

The problem of sizes should be solved by the downstream application or
the icons should be changed in the Wiki, not in the osm-carto repository.

[Talk-at] Missing Maps mapathon, November 7th at Austrian Red Cross!

2016-11-06 Thread Martin Noblecourt

Dear OSM Austria community members,

Sorry for the late warning (and for posting in English!): the mapping
NGO CartONG, the Austrian Red Cross and Doctors without Borders-Austria
are organizing a *Missing Maps mapathon **next Monday from 3 to 6PM at
the ARC HQ in Vienna*.

The aim of the Missing Maps Project is to map the most crisis-prone
parts of the developing world. With your help we can directly improve
the lives of some of the planet’s most vulnerable people. Mapathons are
a great opportunity to get new people to discover OpenStreetMap, so we
always encourage the local OSM members to come and help us train these
new contributors - it can also be an opportunity to present your local
activities! We will be mapping Zimbabwe to support MSF's operations.

Registrations are available here (free but recommended):
https://www.eventbrite.fr/e/billets-missing-maps-vienna-austria-7th-of-november-29077083339

More information on the even in German are available on MSF's website:
https://www.aerzte-ohne-grenzen.at/event/1-oesterreichischer-mapathon

Hope to see some of you on Monday!

[Talk-cz] OpenAlt - otevřená data

2016-11-06 Thread Jethro
Zdar,
https://twitter.com/hashtag/opendatacz
kdyby to s nimi někdo z OSM, kdo ovládá právo, vyřešil.

Do
DPP data nemá (protože outsourcing), to
Autobusy, tramvaje a metro
mají 3 různé IS, další dopraci něco centrálně posílají Ropidu. Mělo by

OK thank you for the information. It is not that I want to tell anybody to
use anything in particular, it is just that I think synergy will create
better products. But then, the principle of open source is that it needs to
scratch an itch. And if your engine does that for you, who am I to judge ;-)

Re: [OSM-talk] Compression on Overpass API

2016-11-06 Thread Dave F

Thanks. A useful option to know.

There's also -H "Accept-encoding: gzip". If you specify the output file
as *.gz it keeps the data compressed. I use it to convert the data to
garmin GPS format using mkgmap.

Do you have a link to the weeklyOSM article?

I read in a recent weeklyOSM about prototype software for downloading OSM data
in PBF format from Overpass. This has prompted me to pass on a tip which may
not be widely known: It is possible to obtain about 10:1 compression now on any
OAPI or XAPI query by using HTTP compression. This is supported on the German
and French instances but not on the Russian instance. I use 'curl --compressed'
at the command line to invoke HTTP compression, e.g. (for an area of central
London)
XAPI query
curl --compressed -g -o data.osm
https://overpass-api.de/api/xapi_meta?*[bbox=-0.15,51.49,-0.1,51.52]
Equivalent OAPI query
curl --compressed -g -o data.osm
'https://overpass-api.de/api/interpreter?data=(node(51.49,-0.15,51.52,-0.1);%20<;node(w););out%20meta;'
This can greatly speed up the downloading of large datasets.

[OSM-talk] Taglists support for rendering examples

2016-11-06 Thread Jochen Topf
Hi!

I have now added support to taginfo for showing an example rendering in
the taglists on the wiki.

If the "osmcarto-rendering" field in the KeyDescription or
ValueDescription info box template is set to an image link (typically
something like "Image:foo.svg" or "File:foo.svg"), this image will
show up in taglists if the taglists have the "with_rendering=true"
parameter.

A detailed explanation is at:
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Taginfo/Taglists

Note that the "osmcarto-rendering-size" setting in the infobox is not used.
That setting is really not neccesary if the icons have been written in
the right way. If you look into the SVG of the icons you'll see the
difference:

The correct SVG looks something like this:

The incorrect SVG looks something like this:

So you have to explicitly set the right size. This is a common problem
with many icons and they should be fixed in the original repository at
https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto and then re-imported
into the Wiki.

(And yes, it would make sense if we didn't have to copy the images into
the wiki, but there are more issues with that. I am trying to do the
next step here, not change everything in one go.)

With this change the taglists can be made to look exactly like the old,
manually created ones (for instance on the MapFeatures page).

[OSM-talk] User group for mapping activities in Wikimedia

2016-11-06 Thread Susanna Ånäs
Hi all interested in mapping in Wikimedia!

I have made a proposal in Wikimedia IdeaLab to create a Wikimaps user group.

Do you think that would be a good way for the Wikimedia mapping community
to go forward?

Wikimaps activities have been focusing on historical mapping, but the user
group would be made for all mapping related activities. The goal is that
people with many different ideas for using the geographic component in
their projects would come together, share their expertise and help each
other forward.

The user group would give the community an affiliate status within the
Wikimedia movement, while still keeping the group organic and without
organizational structures.

If you think you can endorse or join, please visit the page and leave your
mark!

Best,

Susanna Ånäs

Aggiungo qualche informazione perchè altrimenti si fa fatica a definire
i tag:

precedente Terremoto

http://imgur.com/a/cfOfA

http://gis.19327.n8.nabble.com/Utilizzo-server-OSM-per-WMS-terremoto-tp5881094p5881194.html

Completely Destroyed > collapsed
Highly Damaged > severe
Moderately Damaged > moderate
Negligible to slight Damage > negligible

Il tag Not affected > no, l'ho scartato a priori, perchè credo non
serva, come del resto previsto in quella discussione.

boundary=protected_area

leisure=nature_reserve
