Re: What triggers auto refresh of Virtual folders?

consistent hunting, but I don't, at least not until tomorrow. I'll keep

reading more then one email from me on this topic.

Now I can confirm. I have a VF folder watching my TBBETA folder and a
few others. This VF folder is *not* set to auto refresh.

I've now tried it setting the folder to auto refresh and I still have
the problem.

If I select the VF, delete a message and then purgecompress all
folders, the VF pointers are lost and the VF shows the wrong message,
just like MAU showed us in
 mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED].
I have been able to confirm this several times in a row.

Still, it's confirmed every time. It has nothing to do with purging
though, it's compressing which makes TB! loose focus in a VF.

Does TB! keep pointer to the messages in the format of n'th message in
folder x? If so, these pointers obviously doesn't get updated when I
compress my folders.

Just a guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is what's going wrong.

 Well, it's a quite different task - you're asking to create a
linear sheet constructed from all parts including attached messages.
It should be moved to TB! wishes because it's not a bug at all..
That is why I logged it under a different number. Max said it was

it is probably a new feature - as it is in Thunderbird (inline

Could you leave it in and just break the relationship with the fixed

Re: Yet another feature-request list (for NFS)

2004-09-14 Thread Boris Anders
Hello Boris,

Monday, August 30, 2004, 14:09 you wrote at
mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Updated list - supplements or criticism sill welcome. Did I miss some
feature request?

01. Common Filter
Wish you could say for each common filter, whether it has higher or
lower priority then account filters.

02. Remember Focus
TheBat! should remember for each account, which filter was selected
and whether the filter folders (Incoming messages, Sent messages,
Read messages and Replied messages) where opend or closed. So if
you select Common Filters the focus should jump e.g. to the third
read messages.

03. New Condition: Address Book Contact
Should check, whether From-Address is one of them, which are in the
Adress Book Contact of (e.g) 9Val. Sense: If 9Val change his E-Mail
adresse, I must only change the address in the address book (and not
in the three filters in NFS and in his VF) (I think I suggested this
alread :-)

04. Re-filter messages
The order of rule set to apply should be the same as in NFS and
contain the possibility to filter with common filter:
[ ] Common Filters
[ ] Outgoing mail
[ ] Read messages
[ ] Replied messages

05. Action: Delete
There should be following options:
[ ] delete parked message also
[ ] move in trash
[ ] Compress folder after deleting

06. Action: Move
There should be added the option:
[ ] move parked message also
[ ] unpark message

10. Condition Address group should have a select box (like source
folder has already).

11. Action Run External program
With %1, TheBat! gives the message to the external program, but why
not according to a template? Default, %1 should give the message in
RFC-822 format, no question, but if I want, I should have the
possibility, to give the message in my template format. Guess this can
be easily realized (and %From,%ToList is not needed any more).

12. New Condition: Spam score is higher than value
is lower than
see mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

13. Buttons Move In/Move Out buttons.

15. Move-up and Move-Down for conditions
A option for conditions, just like there is for actions.
see mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

17. Ask before delete Sub-Filters
If you delete a filter with Sub-Filters, I'd like to have the
following asking box

filter name has got sub-filters. Do you want to delete it?

[Yes] [Yes, but keep Sub-filters] [No]

If you select Yes, but keep Sub-filters the sub-filters shouldn't be
deleted but, moved out, while the original filter is deleted.

18. Cancel button
The changes from opening NFS until now are NOT saved and NFS is
closed. Very useful I think ...
mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Fulfilled:

07. If you press a letter e.g. a then the focus should jump throw
the filters, which starts with a. Worked in the OFS just fine - miss it
in NFS, yet.

09. There should be a hotkey, which opens the context menu of the
condition. With space you can jump throw the options but I think, it
can't be too hard, to set the arrow-down to open the context menu.

Alt + arrow down does it.

14. Buttons Move Up/Move Down

08. Selectiver Download
I'm missing them ...

16. Highlighting accounts using OFS (or NFS)
see mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I think a parameter as /usb should be better.

If TB! gets the /usb parameter it should load a .reg file into the
registry, and whe TB! it's closed it should save a .reg file with the
registry keys it uses.

With this idea developers not need to touch any line of code, only add

I had a similar problem today. My usage got as high as 700 MB!

But I found it to be caused by a corrupt folder. After running folder maintenance, I
did not have the problem. FM found plenty of problems in the tbbeta folder though. But
that was just on my test machine running v3b14 by now. Now it does not get over 200 MB.

subject [3.0.0.14] Virtual Memory consumption still out of control :

Installed the lastest, running for 35 mins, already using 152MB of
RAM, and 315MB of VM. Any clues on when this is getting fixed?

Have you checked if there are not plenty of bat*.tmp files in your temporary
folder?

I have running TB!3.0.0.14 now for 11 hours and actually 11MB memory used
(max 28MB) 8 POP3 accounts, over 21000 eMails)

2004-09-14 Thread MaXxX
On Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at 9:31:46 PM, time seemed to stop as
Stefan Tanurkov uttered these words:

M If the quick-template system was somehow extended to allow passing of
M parameters, we'd be home. :]

Done (it took about 3 minutes) :-)

From now on, QTs can be called with parameters:

 %QT(QT Name, parameter 1, parameter 2, ...)

To obtain the parameter value, use %_N where N is the number of the
 parameter.

Superb!

Ummm, however... All macros so far have a %MACRO or
%MACRO=parameter syntax... I like this new %SYNTAX() a lot more,
but it's not really consistent with the previous one...

... or can we expect a change in the macro syntax, like I described it
some time ago?

%MACRO=parameter changed into %MACRO(parameter) ?
%IF:ab:foo:bar changed into %IF(ab,foo,bar) ?

That would make the macro system really consistent and really, really
great! :]

Such syntax exists since TB 1.63 and only the %IF macro differs.
Here are some examples:

%QUOTES(%QINCLUDE(My_Quick_Template))
%IF:%CCLIST==:CC field is empty:%CCLIST
%_MyVariable(%ATTACHMENTS)

IMAP: Undelete

2004-09-14 Thread Martin Webster

Hello TBBETA,

If I delete (or move) a message it is marked as deleted and no longer
appears in the folder. Using Folder - Browse deleted messages I can
view the deleted message and undelete it using Message - Undelete. The
message reappears. However, switch to another folder and back again and
the message is gone.

Anyone confirm?

Hello !

With NFS, this filter does not work :

endFilter

where filtre_domaines.txt contains @thebat.dutaint.com for example.

Could anybody confirms this ?

MW However, switch to another folder and back again and the message
MW is gone.

This is normal if you have the option to compress folders on switching
set...

2004-09-14 Thread MAU
Hello MAU,

Same here. But I think it is just because it is my main account for work
and I send many more messages with this one that with any of the others.

The problem is becoming a bit unbearable tonight. It's occurring with
every single message I send from my main work account.

Hello MAU,

I may have found something. In my main work account, and only in this
one, I had the Combined delivery selected in Properties/Transport. I
have deselected this option, re-started TB and so far so good, no never
ending tasks. Will have to keep any for at least a couple of days
though.
