This query is entirely wrong in *every* respect . Allow me to explain: 1) TB does not convert any case in the address field at any point. 2) No email addresses are a person's name. Message Dispatcher Question
Howdy TheBatUsers, I've been using MailWasher to preview messages on my POP servers before downloading them to my client. Now, I've decided to just use the Message Dispatcher in TB. I'm a bit confused, however, on configuring the Message Dispatcher. When I run a mail check, all of the Receive and Delete column checkboxes are checked. According to TB Help, a check in the Receive column will "Retrieve the message into the Inbox as you would in a normal download session" and a check in the Delete column will "Delete the message from the server without downloading it". When the Message Dispatcher is invoked, all of the checkboxes in the Receive and Delete columns are checked by default. To me, this seems a bit contradictory. Shouldn't it be one or the other, but not both? Also, can the Message Dispatcher be configured to set defaults on the columns, e.g., none of the Delete checkboxes are checked when the Message Dispatcher runs? Problem with lost messages
Hash: SHA1 Hello TBUDL, For the first time since I started using The Bat!, I have a signifigent problem. My inbox normally has a few thousand messages. Now it has less than 100 messages. I do periodic backups using the internal Backup mechanism. Is it possible to restore just one folder? Can that restore be done as a merge (so that the current messages aren't lost)? If not, can I restore one folder giving it a new name? I just tried to restore the account. It returns an error message: Cannot restore message base of the folder \\Bayerfamily\Inbox My guess is that the Inbox folder is damaged; Before all this started I got a message saying that it was damaged and needed to be recovered. What can I do to fix this? How can I verify that the folder is actually in good shape? What I've done for now is to rename the account, restore the entire account, copy all the messages from the Inbox in the restored account to the real account, delete the restored account and then rename the original account back to what it should be. QT question
Good evening list, At the moment i have in one of my QT's following regex: Good %IF:"%TIME='hh:mm:ss'"=>"04:00:00":"%IF:'%TIME=""hh:mm:ss""'<='11:59:59':'morning'"%-%IF:"%TIME='hh:mm:ss'"=>"12:00:00":"%IF:'%TIME=""hh:mm:ss""'<='16:59:59':'afternoon'"%-%IF:"%TIME='hh:mm:ss'"=>"17:00:00":"%IF:'%TIME=""hh:mm:ss""'<='23:59:59':'evening'"%-%IF:"%TIME='hh:mm:ss'"=>"00:00:00":"%IF:'%TIME=""hh:mm:ss""'<='03:59:59':'night'"%- %ABtoFIRSTNAME="%TOFNAME", As you can see it fills in the name of the person in the TO field, if this name is in the AB. But if i want to mail to a person that's not in my AB, how do i change it? I tried it leaving %ABtoFIRSTNAME= out of the expression but that didn't work. Is there a way to trigger TOFNAME in the expression? -- Best regards, Luc mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Powered by The Bat! version 1.61 with Windows 2000 (build 2195), version 5.0 and using the best browser: Opera. Adding addresses to Address book
Hi all, I recently received a message that had been sent to multiple recipients. I wanted to add each of the recipients to my address book. I right clicked on the the "To" line of the message header and selected "add to address book" from the context menu. However, this method only let me add the 1st address to my book. I finally resorted to cutting and pasting each of the address from the message source window. Is there an easier way? -- Regards, John mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Archive Message Folder by Age of Message
Hello TBUDL, I would like to archive messages from my TBUDL folder based on the age of the mesages, e.g. older than 30 days. I've tried to use a filter but only succeeded in deleting all my messages in every folder older than 30 days! (thank goodness for tape backups, phew!)
