Hello Marck, O PGP-signed, but do not get ticked . MNo, Thomas was being a little misleading there. TB does not Msupport PGP/MIME. It only supports S/MIME. These tickmark Micons are S/MIME signed message indicators. Nothing to do with MPGP. I, in fact, usually sign my messages with GnuPG. This one Mis signed with S/MIME just to ring the changes. This message indeed did have the yellow tick in the icon. (I had to go and find the contents of your message in the Source, though, as described earlier: messages signed this way appear to be empty but for the sig - in the digest, anyway). Victor wasn't sporting any reference to a key in his email so his sig couldn't be checked. If you don't want your public key 'public' and want it contained for use only between a select few then of course their is no purpose to publishing it to the keyservers, and I would agree with you there. However, if you want to use a public key so that anyone can contact you using PGP or verify your sig then I reckon publishing is still the best method of distribution. I have made my key available through my domain, and reference it in my email sig. I have also published it on the keyservers so that my signature can be quickly verified and my key imported should someone not wish to go to the trouble of manually grabbing from my site before they can verify my sig. Re[2]: I think I got OpenPGP working but a few questions
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello Paul, TF Many PGP users provide links to either their homepage where you can TF download the key, or it is a mailto-link that will send a request mail TF to them, with the request being handled automatically by TB filter. PC I tried the mail filter to send my PGP key, but I wasn't able to follow PC the directions, and I never got it working. I really don't want to put PC up a web site to send it. Since PGP support is built-into TB, I wish PC they would add a filter into the FAQ pages that allows you to send your PC key ;) If your address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] you can try either of the following to help you out. I noticed its important to add the mailto: link or else :( mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=My%20PGP%20Keys You'll get mail with the subject line My PGP Keys or mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=pgpbody=please%20send%20them You'll get an e-mail with the subject = pgp and the body will say = please send them Maybe that can help you filter them :) Also it might help to move that filter to the top or to the bottom but you'll have to experiment on it ;) I hope I helped - -- Best regards, Victor B. Re: Changing Font of Viewer
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello Michael, MR I recently purchased a laptop and have set up The Bat! on it (no MR problems, by the way). Because the screen resolution is 1400x1050 the MR size of the text is very small. Forgive me but why not try 1024x768 or a resolution smaller than 1400x1050? You want your fonts bigger I understand but why not ease your eyes all around if it can help? I also own a notebook and have been dealing with them for a very long time now. 1400x1050 I can see fine on but unfortunately my notebook at the current moment has a resolution of 1024x768 but I have an extra monitor and and virtual desktop application to help expand my desktop. Its my workaround :) - -- Best regards, Victor B. Re: Deleted messages.
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello Francis, FXM I noticed that someone in my office deleted a bunch of messages out of FXM a common folder that is shared. FXM Is there a way to prohibit people from deleting, but allowing them to FXM view these messages? I could use Windows security, but this may not be FXM the way to go. Can you park messages in the common folder? Parking a message should help against accidental deletion otherwise if a message is important enough you should probably copy them into a folder in your account :) - - -- Best regards, Victor B. Re[3]: Trusted root certificate problem
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hello Subhi, SSH Is there a way to make The Bat accept this certificate (add the root) SSH or the certificate itself somehow? I just got a Comodo certificate thanks to Simon Blake and it took me about ten anguished minutes to install it. :| but it's in and was just tricky... Heres how I did it. In Internet Explorer I believe go to Tools Internet Options Content Certificates Under personal certificates select your issued certificate and click on export... I had to do this *twice* I'll explain. Just export them to the same folder. you'll be asked for a password somewhere just do not forget it At the first prompt select yes, export the private key. Leave the default radio button checked and check include all certificates + enable strong protection click next. The rest should be easy... Now do it again. Export no do not export private key and select next. Leave DER as default and hit next. Locate where you saved before and hit next. You're done with IE feel free to shut it down. Now in TB! go to account properties edit personal certificates import... Do not import any one individually import them both at the same time. Now double click your newly installed certificates and look at their profile. For all of them you'll do the same thing. Click add to address book and say OK. Go to your certification path and and highlight your parent certificate and click add to trusted. If its blanked out try the next certificate. Only one of them has to get added to the trusted source for all of them to work. I did it, it works and I am happy :) Thanks Simon Blake for getting me started :) Meyns As far as I understand, the certificate must be added to the Trusted Root Meyns CA address book. Probably via New -- Contact, like in the other address Meyns books. I haven't had the need to add a CA, yet, so it's only a guess... :-) Man it was hell for me trying to go that route but if it works for you or someone knows a trick let me know :) Good luck Subhi :) - - -- Best regards, Victor B.
