Incorrect displayed time after DST change

2006-03-30 Thread Cory
Hi 'Batters!

My colleague today noticed that the Created and Received times are
incorrectly displayed after the DST change of March 26.
Our time zone is UTC+1, but messages created before the DST change are
now displayed with UTC+2; for example 24-03-2006 14:55:00, while the
message actually was created 24-03-2006 13:55:00 - and IMHO opinion
should display the actual creation time of that moment, and not
corrected with the current DST. Same applies for Received, of
course.
Anyone similar experience?

There's no such issue in the BT yet; when times are indeed displayed
wrong with others also - not isolated to our installations only- I
guess someone (me?!) should file one...

Another way for both:

Hold down the shift key and click the arrow icon on the toolbar for
either Reply, or Reply to All, as desired.

It's a great satisfaction to me that Reply to All works this way as
well as Reply, as it took quite a bit of interaction on TBBETA and at
Bug Tracker to get this function implemented.

Since I'm a mouse person, it's the only way that I do replies.

I just did a search at BT, and I did find an old wish that might be
used to request a keyboard function for Reply to All. I do remember
that the need was discussed on TBBETA at the time the toolbar
functions were being worked on.

Here's the Bat Wishes link:

It's possible that with the new beta Customise interface, assigning
your own hot key might already be something one could do.

As you can see from my sig, I haven't yet installed beta 3.72.05.

You will only have one Virtual Folder that you would call @flagged'
probably.

Then right click on the folder name, select properties and click the FILTER
tab.

Click Use Fast Search and then Fast Search Types: Flagged.

Probably you want AUTO-REFRESH ticked as well

I also have Store State Between Sessions ticked - can't remember why
though.

TB remembers the contents of the VF that way when you start/end and
restart the program. When the option is unticked, the VFs index will be
rebuilt each time you start the program (depending on the number of VFs
this may take some time).

When the option is ticked the VFs may not be up to date sometimes. In
that case, you can manually update the index of a VF when you highlight
its name in the folder list and press ESC.

Removing the flag will remove it from the relevant folder - but sometimes
you have to right-click over the folder and hit REFRESH

I understand that if I delete the message in the flagged folder the
original will go too. Is this so?

Ah - now this is where it gets totally confusing. And I feel another wish
coming on!

If a message is flagged...

...and you delete it in the Virtual Folder view it will react as if deleted
and then appear again...

why...?

Because it still exists in the trash folder as a flagged message.

So you delete it again and it disappears finally.

The way to avoid this is to go back to the Properties of the Virtual Folder
and at the bottom left of the window of properties is a 'Select Folders'
button. Click this and you can select by checking on and off whichever
boxes you want to ignore. So I clcim Select All then individually uncheck
'Trash' and 'Junk'

I forgot to add a waring. When you 'Selct All' in the VF properties window
it selects all of the folders that exist at that moment.

Just like the same 'Selct All' option in creating Filters however:

If you later create a new folder it WILL NOT automatically be added to the
watched list.

You have to go back in and 'Select All' then deselect as appropriate. Or
individually select the new folders to add them.
