Customer cannot open mail

2002-11-05 Thread Britt Malka
Tuesday, November 5, 2002

Dear tbudl,

I hope someone here can figure out what is wrong...

We have a customer who has a problem with The Bat! - he cannot open
the mails.

He has completely uninstalled The Bat!, has erased everything, has
reorganised his disc. Then he has used windoctor to correct the
registry, particularly the shortcuts. The he has closed down the
computer.

After that he has re-installed version 1.61, and has created one
account only. He has asked his daughter to send him a mail, and he has
received the mail.

He couldn't open it.

Then he closed TB, re-opened, and he can open the mail.

This happens all the time for him - he has to shot down and re-open TB
in order to open the mail, and it is even after each mail, he has
opened, he has to go through that procedure.

Any ideas?

Lost folders

2002-10-15 Thread Britt Malka

Tuesday, October 15, 2002

Dear tbudl,

I had my SecureBat! installed on a small part of my partitioned
harddisk.

All of a sudden I couldn't send a message from my account malka.com. I
looked in the log, and it said that I couldn't receive either, because
there were no more space left on the account. I thought at first that
the problem was with our Internet Supplyer.

Several times The Bat! told me that there was a fawlt with folder
somehting, and if I wanted to correct it now. I started out with
answering yes, but it seemed to give problems to the program, so I
answered no.

Then I shut down SecureBat!

When I opened it up again, about a 120 of my folders in malka.dk had
disappeared.

It seems that they are still on the harddisk. I have now moved
SecureBat!, but I still cannot see the missing folders.

I have searched the helpfile and the archive, with no luck. Have
already tried Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L several times, have tried to backup and
reinstall, have tried refresh folders, have tried the program
BackUpTheBat! which seems to find 150 of the folders, but when I
import messages, it is only old, deleted messages that comes up.

Anybody here have an idea?

When I still have 151 folders in Explorer, they must still be there,
mustn't they?

Yes, but you cannot paste it into the message.

You have to use either a program (not Print Screen) that takes a

The first is obviously the best, as it does not take up as much space.

I haven't really observed any bugs, and I use The Bat! a lot - the

But programs can react differently from computer to computer and from

It is easy.

Make a homepage with a simle WYSIWYG editor, as for instance Namo.
Save both the page and the pictures in the same folder.
Attach the html-file and the pictures to the mail.

Here it is then:

Qui aiment bien Incredimail et son notificateur toujours ouvert ;
Qui considèrent que le programme ne bénéficient pas d’assez de paramétrages ;

1) It can generate an e-mail whenever you want and sent it to whomever

2) Make a PopUp Windows reminder.

3) Start a program at a certain time.

The program is shareware.

I tried that, but my ReplyTemplate didn't work after that either. It

Reg-exp to extract from cludges

2002-06-10 Thread Britt Malka

Monday, June 10, 2002

Dear tbudl,

I would like to answer certain letters with something that is written
in cludges.

If there is a X-SpamWeasel, I would like to tell the receiver of my
letter, why it was rejected.

I think the start of the reg.exp is this:

^X-SpamWeasel: \s*(.*)

But how do I get that in the template?

I have tried writing %regexpblindmatch and a lot of others, but it
didn't work. Either it wrote nothing, or it wrote ^X-SpamWeasel: \s*(.*)

I would have like the result (with subpatt=1) to be: Rule adult
words in body or something like that.

Can anybody help, please?

Yes, but there is probably more than one way.

A way is to click (right) on the first message in the thread and
choose to save as a text file.

Do the same with the second, and save with the same name. Say no to
delete (overwrite) the file, and yes to append to the existing file.

Non, I don't think so... I now I cannot try, because I have deleted

It is génial.

In that way it doesn't matter which folder or account I use, and I can

Only here at work, I don't know why the spell checker files has

Commandline and encrypted mail

2002-01-31 Thread Britt Malka

torsdag, den 31. januar 2002, 18:28

I got this question, but as I never use the command line, I have no
idea. Do anyone here know the answer?

Is it possible with The Bat or Secure Bat to send signed encrypted
mail with command line?
Here is my problem :
I downloaded the trial version of The Bat,
I managed to send signed encrypted mail with S/MIME and X509 certificate,
I managed to send mail with the command line (thebat.exe /MAIL..);
BUT I did not manage to send signed encrypted mail WITH the command line.
Is it possible???

Thank you for your answer, but why on earth does it suddenly change my writing into code?

2002-01-05 Thread Britt Malka

I have written the letter as usually. I use SecureBat! version 1.54.

Yes, I have a problem. I don't understand this. Have not seen the faenomen in any other group or mail, I have written. Hey, there is a problem with the alphabet in my cookies too. I will try to figure out, what happened.

M your charset is koi8-r, is that right? (a .dk person using a .ru
M charset?)

No, it is not right, but I couldn't find where it was set to that. In
account - properties - templates - New it is set to Latin something,
and I haven't got a speciel template for this folder or group.

M and perhaps you have base64 encoding set? (account properties,
M transport, '8-bit characters are treated').

Exactly! Thank you.

M i've had this problem before, and it was that setting that got set.
M (not by me, by the elves that house in your computer :) set it to
M 'quoted-printable'.

Yes, and we have had some of those elves too. Seriously... All of a
sudden properties were changed, but I guess this comes from playing
with betas :-)

Yes, you can. You should just install Palm e-mail support as if you
are using Eudora.
