encoding
Composed on 15/03/2001, at 19:47 GMT My default Message encoding is set at Central European (ISO-8859-2). For the life of me I can't remember selecting this as my default (old age memory loss perhaps), I'd prefer to have the default set to Latin-1 (ISO-8859-1). This is easy to find and set in the editor for an individual email, but doesn't alter TB! default. It is also possible to alter the individual account settings for the encoding of selected templates. What I'd like to know is this; is there one option somewhere for resetting the default encoding for all accounts and templates globally across TB!? Or is this achieved by altering every template in every account individually? ceejay www.turnet.co.uk TB ver:1.51 | On Windows 98 4.10 1998 Pll 350Mhz (128MB Ram) -- __ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Composed on 08/10/2000, at 14:09 GMT I've spent some time looking through the TBUDL archive, and discovered a couple of macro options that I'd not seen before. Toggle it off, and it will stop doing ACM the periodic checks, even though you're still connected to the internet. ACM I agree that this would be a useful feature. There are times when I'm ACM downloading a file and TB! attempts to access the mail server. It has ACM the dickens of a time trying to connect and also slows down my download ACM speed. When I used to use X-Ray, these attempts would at times end with ACM X-Ray crashing. I have to prevent periodic checking to prevent this. That one's not for me Krister, I'd rather TB team concentrate on developing their email client to even greater heights. I'd guess most Bat users fit under the heading of decerning power users, as such I suspect they would have their preferences regarding a similar spec newsreader. After years of honing my newsreader filters and regex rules etc. I now have it precisely the way I want it. -- regards, cejay (Wales UK) -- -- View the TBUDL archive at http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team double click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe from TBUDL, double click here and send the message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
Split pane
sender: Charlie Turner (ceejay) Hi waves to everyone New member alert! I've had a good look around but cannot find an option to switch off the split pave view when composing a reply. I can see that the split view has its uses, but because I include the original text in my replies I don't really have a need for it. I'd welcome any suggestions that would help me make better use of the this feature if it can't be switched off. -- TB ver:1.46d S/N:D912B2BF | On Windows 98 4.10 1998 (128BM Ram)| -- -- View the TBUDL archive at http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team double click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe from TBUDL, double click here and send the message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
