Saving changes
I've setup mGTD on my own server, and it's working out really well. However, I wonder if I've missed something. I'd love to have instant saves on every change, but I don't think that's possible. However, what I'm looking for at the moment is to somehow streamline the saving process. Right now, I've loaded up the plugins that allow me to use the backstage | upload feature. The problem is that I have to click, upload, save, and then close and close to make a complete cycle. Because I'm using this between several machines, and because my job involves using MANY open windows of my browser doing (sometimes) dangerous things (which cause the browser to lock up and force me to kill it), I'd like to make this process more transparent. I know I could run this under a different browser and reduce a lot of the problem, but this is causing me to wonder about the bigger picture. Thanks for mGTD! dk --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups GTD TiddlyWiki group. Tobias, Wonderful stuff This should go on the tiddlyhub, the plugin repository. Alex 2009/9/16 Tobias beertob...@googlemail.com Hey folks, I updated http://lastfm.tiddlyspot.com#RatingMacro You can now rate a remote tiddler and (as Alex was asking for it) define tiddlers which you want to update whenever a new rating is applied. Look here for new information on how to use those parameters: http://lastfm.tiddlyspot.com#RatingMacroInfo I also RENAMED the scripts for retrieving lists of ratings... they're now called ListRating and RatingSummary (instead of GetRating and GetRatingOverview). I would try to access your site from an other computer without entering the password, and than check if such attempts would be reported by Google. Or you might get Firebug and watch the Net tab for requests to GA. If you tell me the URL, I can take a quick look. I'm fairly sure only presents a static 401 page (i.e. entirely unrelated to whatever TiddlyWiki document is stored at that location). -- F. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Internal tiddleriframes with custom viewtemplate???
Hi TwWizards - and Eric... I'm using Erics TaggedTemplateTweakPlugin very much.. [tw] Re: tiddlyspot security issue?
If you tell me the URL, I can take a quick look. Marc has sent me the URL. As predicted, all I get is a static 401 page that does not trigger any Google Analytics requests. So I can think of a few explanations: * someone in Brazil has guessed your password * your own visits are mistakenly being registered as coming from Brazil * Google Analytics is misconfigured somehow, counting requests from other locations None of those seem very likely, so there might well be other, less obvious explanations. -- F. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. Typically this is done by installing the suspected plugin in an empty TW, (as cmari did), so that I can immediately try a *simple* test case, without needing to suss what the rest of the document is about or how it has been customized. Of course, some problems aren't reproducible with a simple test case, so the fully- customized document *must* be used, but this should be avoided if at all possible. When a truly minimal test case document is available, I am more likely to reproduce the problem and find a solution within a few minutes, as compared to the hour or two that was spent unsuccessfully investigating Mans' highly-customized document. ... and, indeed, I've found the problem with this plugin and have fixed it... [tw] Re: Blog plugins - can't find one that works
Hey Mans, The trick is that this is intended as an event whiteboard. Journal Entries created for the current date need to stay visible when the page is refreshed, for easy reference, until the tiddlers are manually deleted. I've discovered that while browsing the froup...I thought someone else ~had~ to have run across this before as well. It does work like a charm! I've already added it to my tiddlywiki. But it also doesn't fix the issue of keeping the recent quicknotes on the page when the page is refreshed. Some code needs to replace the default tiddlers code at startup to show tiddlers that have been added today, where today is the current date. And there are ample plugins designed to do that out there, but none of them seem to work when imported. it's not me forgetting to change the variables, I've made sure of that. [tw] Re: newline syntax for QuickEdit replace plugin?
Thanks also for that helpful update Eric, Not with standing that, tiddlywiki users with firefox can also use the Plugin It's All Text to open any HTML edit field; eg; a tiddler in edit mode, opened in an editor of choice. I use Notepad++ Portable, or PFE32 (old school), but for some kinds of columns wise editing try SPFLite the author says; Welcome to SPFLite* Why did I bother creating SPFLite? * *Well, I was just getting frustrated after trying out just about every Windows PC Editor I could lay my hands on. They were all character stream oriented editors and what I wanted was a line oriented editor like the 'good old' SPF editor I had used most of my career. * SPFLite also has a great feature where you can edit something already in the clipboard and it pasts it back to the clipboard. The main trick with SPFLite is you could replace spacespace with space but only in columns 10 thru 20. Anyways, just some shared tips.
