[Bug 365300] Re: Randomly I get double clicks when I do a single click.
Confirmed here as well with bluetooth keyboard and with mouse clicks. The bluetooth keyboard shows doubles on input however types and responds just fine. The mouse however does cause issues within the system on clicking. Simple usb Logitec M100 mouse. Kernel 3.2.0-32-generic lsusb Bus 002 Device 006: ID 046d:c05a Logitech, Inc. Optical Mouse M90 Mouse Click/release output xev output `xev | grep Button` ButtonPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x4c1, ButtonRelease event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x4c1, Keyboard Press output `xev | grep Key` KeyPress event, serial 36, synthetic NO, window 0x4c1, KeyRelease event, serial 36, synthetic NO, window 0x4c1, annoying. Just tried this with an older mouse and the double-click problem has not happened once; however I did note the xev output is identical `xev | grep Button` ButtonPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x561, ButtonRelease event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x561, I believe this is a hardware problem based on the evidence from above coupled with the feedback from the http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1429091page=2 mice manufacturers focus on speed, and thus new mice spit the output out much faster then older mice. of course I don't have much to substantiate this claim; so at this point it's mere opinion. [Bug 1060417] Re: mdadm BOOT_DEGRADED setting is ignored
Okay. Things are a bit confusing in the cloud. The new Grub 2 is not being used, and the cloud loader reads /boot/grub/menu.lst entries directly (you can't use update-grub to regenerate menu.lst anymore, as the new way is the grub.cfg file, which however is not used in the cloud). So all this confused me a bit and I also wasn't running update-initramfs to reflect my changes in /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/mdadm. The root of my issue was that I was creating a RAID5 array (without the --force option), which automatically puts the array into degraded, rebuilding state, which then fails to reboot (in the cloud) due to the BOOT_DEGRADED defaulting to false (in /etc/initramfs- tools/conf.d/mdadm). Please close this bug, but hopefully this helps others. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1060417 Title: mdadm BOOT_DEGRADED setting is ignored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1060417/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1060952] [NEW] Installation crashed
Public bug reported: I tried to reinstall Ubuntu after having trouble with my partitions. I had installed Windows 7 and then Ubuntu 12.10 beta 2 before trying to reinstall. The configuration was: SSD: / 25 GB /home 88 GB /swap 2 GB normal HDD: 160 GB, Windows 7 After installing all my necessary software I wasn't able to even surf the web. After making a few checks I figured out that my system partition was completely full. 0 kb left! I tried to reboot after doing sudo apt-get clean and the other things one does to make up space. When I then tried to reboot, I wouldn't even get to the login screen anymore. fschk would simply hang and the memory checks couldn't find any errors. This is why I tried a reinstall and wipe everything completely. [Bug 1060907] Re: NetworkManager stores wifi passwords in plain text
As long as it is not in plain text in a file on the filesystem I do not care. We want users to be able to set up wireless connections and select available networks. As far as I have acertained this is accomplished by giving them rights to org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.settings.modify.system. If we do this passwords WILL be stored in plain text in /etc. Storing passwords in plain text will *allways* and in any circumstances be a bad design.
