SAS, SPSS).

A background in the application of data science techniques and tools is a
plus.

Familiarity with Net Promoter Score a plus.

Experience in subscription-based businesses preferred

Experience in at least one of the following preferred: marketing, product

This position requires someone who has experience analyzing data sets or
data results (e.g. profiling results, results reporting) to draw inferences
and identify adherence, or lack thereof, to business requirements.

should be able to determine in the database that there are similar dates
for a large number of securities and identify if that is related to any
other patterns within the data. (e.g. Date of record is set to when a
tranche of securities was purchased via acquisition of a portfolio from
another bank).

Needs to be able to interface with end business users to:

Educate them on how the profiling was done on the data and what rules were
applied

Articulate data findings in a manner that is understandable to a business
team.  Also, they will need to work with the business team to confirm or
modify requirements and rules based on the findings.

Candidate should be able to explain that there is a pattern seen within the
securities and be able to explain if that pattern does or does not match
provided requirements or if it should be a new requirement.

A general knowledge of Financial products and concepts is needed to
interact with end business users.

The user should have experience working with data within databases and
reporting tools.

The candidate should be able to write SQL Statements to pull data from a
database.

The user should have the ability to write data rules in a manner that is
easily understood and implementable by a technical team.

should be able to write rules such as: IF SECURITY_TYPE = “Purchased” then
DT_Of_Rec = DT_Of_Purch

It is an added benefit or Nice to have if the Candidate has experience with:

Data quality concepts and processes.

About 5+ years of experience required

This role will work with the Chief Data Office (CDO) business and function
leads to review data analysis results as well as create and/or modify
business requirements and rules.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
This role is a Requirements Analyst / Data Analyst Lead position.

The RA works with subject matter expert on a project team involved with the

product lines, technology platforms, and business activities.  Proven
leadership skills with the ability to work with technical and business
teams including virtual teams. Must have the ability to work with
technology vendors in the delivery of project solutions. Must have strong
oral and written communication skills.

The Data Analyst will use discovery / analysis skills to identify data
attributes across multiple applications, document and resolve anomalies and
gaps across data sources.  They will use interviewing and facilitation
techniques to engage stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and align
stakeholders on one definition of the data.

Proven experience as a Data Analyst is required; includes ability to read
and create SQL queries, maps, data attributes from Source to Target,
preferred experience with Informatica Data Analyst tool, other similar tool
will be considered.

Will contribute in all SDLC phases.  Preferred experience is in Agile teams
using iterative approach to data. Responsible for Data Discovery, Analysis,
Data Mapping / Profiling.  Contributes to Data Modeling and  technical
solution approach.  Elicits and delivers Information / data requirements to
project  stakeholders.  May create / lead Data Coversion and Data
Implementation activities.

Data Analyst performs discovery for potentially multiple data sources,
business rules and transformation.  Documents high-level features to
support analytical/data needs of the project.  Perform data exploration
with loaded data.
Profiles data using a variety of tools and techniques and present findings
to project stakeholders to validate.

Translates data needs and information gaps into features with data
attributes and metrics.  Creates or uses Conceptual Data Models,
Relationship Maps to integrate data across NW Apps.  Capture data quality
rules such as completeness, standardization, validation, integrity,
uniqueness, and cardinality, as well as any other data quality rules and
reference data rules

Candidate will have experience using data to make decisions, anayzing data
using tools, recognizing duplicate data, consistency/cardinality checks

*Summary*

*Position Responsibilities*

§  Operational support of database environments system and to maintain the
system at optimum overall efficiency. Ensuring maximum performance and
database uptime within organizational constraints by making tuning
recommendations based on performance analysis, creating and testing backups
for production databases, and monitoring of the database systems. Perform
regular analysis to determine and make recommendations relating to
performance, security, and efficiency of database systems.

§  Develop and maintain an organizational strategic plan for subject
databases on a continual basis. Carry out and maintain the overall design
of databases, including standard data definitions, data dictionary,
database security, privacy and recovery systems and any necessary support
software.

§  Establish or support data requirements of the organization and maintain
and coordinate long and short term development plans by develop standards
and procedures governing the usage and access of the databases and the
maintenance of data integrity in working with Data Council.
