If you need to convert something to a specific video format, you need something like ffmpeg or transcode to produce the bits. Then K3B will happily burn them to a medium. poc Yes, But convert to what format so k3b can burn a Video CD/DVD ? You probably need to create a DVD structure as an ISO file, then burn the file to a DVD as data. Creating the ISO can be done several ways, e.g. DeVeDe or tovid (not sure if that last has an rpm). This is all from memory as I haven't actually created a DVD in several years. Most modern DVD players have USB sockets so you can use pendrives as input and avoid all the hassle, not mention saving on media costs. poc Devede did a very good job at burning a Video DVD. -- users mailing list users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines Have a question? The first version will remove all the spaces after the number until it hits a non-space character. That would probably mess up any indentation in the script. Mikkel Well !! If I knew anything about Ruby, I wouldn't have done it the hard way. Maybe one of these days I will have to learn something about Ruby. I just know a little bit about changing the format of a file. You may want to learn about sed, and a few other command line tools like awk, cut, tr, etc... Mikkel Believe me I'm working on it. Re: Please help me installing RT3070STA
If you have the rpmfusion.org repos in F14 all you have to do is yum install kmod-rt3070 and it will install all the needed rpm's. Unlike MS-Windows, where hardware drivers are typically supplied by the manufacturer, all drivers for most common hardware are directly included in the Linux kernel. The Linux kernel community always accepts drivers from active and responsive OEMs for direct inclusion and distribution as part of the stock Linux kernel. Most common wireless network hardware is already supported by Linux, out of the box. If your hardware is not supported, return it and get one that does. I believe that the needed packages to support the RT3070 are in the rpmfusion-free repository. I had done this back in F11 to get the RT2860 workingbut it was a long time ago. It did work fine I just decided not to use the wireless card on my desktop system. I am sure someone else will know the details. But, generally the step should be 1. Enable the rpmfusion-free repo URL:http://rpmfusion.org/Configurationhttp://rpmfusion.org/Configuration 2. Install kmod-rt3070 which will pull in the dependencies for the kernel you're running. -- This file will self-destruct in five minutes. 葛斯克 愛德華 / 台北市八德 路四段 [IMAGE] -- users mailing list users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines

Also, I'm not sure what the OO behavior is, but you could open Impress first then File-Open the file. Maybe that way it will not go into presentation mode. Richard Thanks guys !! Eric That's what someone mentioned might be the issue with my Acer Eric Aspire One and its broadcom drivers. Did you just manually Eric find the dependency you really needed or did a yum update fix I manually found it. What I was doing was googling on my desktop machine, copying the found rpm to a USB stick, plugging that into my notebook, and trying the rpm command. Yum update isn't an option with no working network. Eric it? Also, did you report the bug? I don't know that there's necessarily a bug involved. The problem is that yum update will update the kernel, but as I had to use this procedure to install the driver in the first place (no network, so i cound't use yum - catch 22), yum might not be looking for the broadcom driver in the first place. Perhaps I could NOW try a yum install (with an option to force install already installed packages), and that would future-proof me until next time I install from scratch. On Drivers that need to be updated with the kernel may not happen when kernel is updated , and the next time around when you do a yum update they get updated.
