[ovirt-users] Re: Migration not working

2020-08-16 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier

Hi,

It seems to be fixed now. I updated all the nodes to the last version as
well as hosted engine. I'll see to look at VDSM logs if it happens again.

Usually issues there can be debugged , when you check the ovirt-ha-broker and
ovirt-ha-agent logs (in /var/log on the affected Host).

[ovirt-users] Re: OVA import fails always

2020-02-28 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
This is not a disk upload, which works fine, this is an import. It loads
locally from one hypervisor, and the same problem happens on the other
nodes. I can load the ova, select the vm to import and see all the
params, then in the import process, it fails.

[ovirt-users] Disk move succeed but didn't move content

2019-11-28 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier

Hi,

I've a fresh new install of ovirt 4.3 and tried to import an gluster
vmstore. I managed to import via NFS the former data domain. The problem
is that when I moved the disks of the vms to the new ISCSI data domain,
I got a warning that sparse disk type will be converted to qcow2 disks,
and after accepting, the disks were moved with no error.

The problem is that the disks now figure as <1Gb size instead of the
original size and thus, the vms fail to start.

Is there any way to recover those disks? I have no backup of the vms :-(

Thanks. Sorry for the late replay but I had to travel. I've tried your
suggestion and now I'm not able to start the engine VM. It's trying to get
access for a storage (that I can't tell which is as vdsm only shows the ID and
I don't have a way to know the label without the engine).
I think that I might need to hack into the database of the engine or reset it
and hack in the backup so I can change some values by hand.
Any other ideas?

[ovirt-users] Re: Impossible to install VM Machine

2019-07-10 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi Abdoul,

what I don't get right is what is your setup. Ovirt can have data
domains that is where you put the vm disks.

That domains can be NFS share, gluster bricks, iscsi san or direct disk.
When you say files sharing folders, I can't think of a data domain
attached there unless it's a NFS local share.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can see that working. Do you have a
data domain in storage? I tend to think you have because otherway you
can't create the disks for the vms (which you add when you create the vm)

Please, replay to the list too so others can see the thread.

[ovirt-users] Re: [ovirt-devel] USB on host support?

2019-07-01 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
I'm having a similar problem. The passtrough needs 2 steps, the first is
to attach the host device to the VM, but if you don't enable the spice
usb the vm fails to start. I don't know if the USB works straight from
the host device or if it depends on the spice console.

In my case, a device that work in a windows 10 pc doesn't work in a
windows 10 vm.

Maybe we both can get help in this matter.

[ovirt-users] Re: USB Passtrough device problem

2019-07-01 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi,

I don't get what I should look. I can get the host module and then the
same in linux. In windows it uses the driver of the manufacturer. This
seems to be more something that I need to debug with the ovirt devs to
point out what I should trace. I don't know how to debug an USB stream.
What I can do is test the audio in the host and then see if it has a
difference in the passthrough.

Thanks!

[ovirt-users] USB Passtrough device problem

2019-06-18 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier

Hi,

I've tried to use 2 different audio IO interfaces connected to a VM via
USB passthrough and none worked.

I've tried with win 10 and win server 2016 vms with different errors but
none worked.

I've connected the devices to a host, then attached the host device to a
VM and in the VM properties I've enabled the USB support in the console
properties.

The devices are installed and don't show any error in the device manager
within the VM, but they don't work.

Should I do something else?

it keep complaining with the error:

The client is not authorized to request an authorization. It's required

Engine log shows the same error:

What else should I do to get access?

Re: [ovirt-users] vlan-tagging on non-tagged network

2015-08-19 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier

Hi,

My two cents is that shouldn’t be doing mac spoofing protection as a default.
There are several use cases where you may use virtual nics defined withing the
guest and this feature is going to create problems to users that may not know
that there’s a mac spoofing protection withing ovirt.
Think of keeaplived vmac option, openvpn and any tap adapter you need to create.
If you need to protect against spoofing attacks, you should use the hook or
more powerful tools and in any case, you must be aware that you used this kind
of protection.

Re: [ovirt-users] separate ovirtmgmt from glusterfs traffic

2014-11-18 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier

Hi,

In my experience, having ovirt traffic on the same nic that gluster can
make your platafrom unstable. I was using it for large file storage and
gluster has so big traffic that ovirt got confused and started marking
hosts as unavailable because of hi latency.
I've opened an RFE over a year ago, but had no luck with the team to get
it done. In the RFE I was asking to have a way in the UI to decide which
nic to use for gluster other than the MGMT net that is the one ovirt
lets you use.
There's another way to do this and it's from outside ovirt. There you
have to unregister and re register the bricks using gluster console
commands. This way, when you register the bricks, you can specify the IP
address of the spare NIC and then the traffic will not interfere with
the mgmt.
There's a step that I don't recall much, but ovirt is going to need to
know that the bricks are no longer is the mgmt IP, maybe someone else in
the list can help with this. I can tell you that if you search the list
you'll see my posts about this and the replys of those who helped my
back then.

Is it a future enhancement or multipath is done behind scene? If it's
taking care of it, what about special configs for the device in the

unfortunately the current setup doesn't support multipath. It's

Re: [ovirt-users] ovirt network VLAN tagging

2014-10-15 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi,

It seems to me that it may be a switch configuration problem. The vms in
the same host can talk to each other via the bridge, but if your switch
is not configured to allow tagged traffic for vlans 50 and 60 (and all
the way to the interface of the other host must allow tagged traffic for
those vlans), you won't be able to get traffic.

Re: [ovirt-users] oVirt + opennode or oVirt+proxmox

2014-07-19 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier

Hi Robson,

I don't know openode, but I can tell you that I can't think of a way of
using proxmox along ovirt. Both are virtualization platforms based on
KVM (so you can run vms from one platafrom into the other without any
conversion, just export-improt,copy or whatever you need to go from one
to the other).
They have both their upsides and downsides, basically IMHO, I like
proxmox decentralized way of managing the platform, but I love more the
great community around ovirt and it's fast evolution.
One thing is certain, your virtualization host can't be both, ovirts and
proxmox virtualization hosts.

true. some relief via a glance storage domain allowing that.
I know, but too much overhead in using glance.

Attaching and dettaching domains is both time consuming and boring.
Also using tagged and untagged networks on top of the same nic.
Everybody does that except for ovirt.
I also like to say that tough I have a huge enthusiasm for ovirt's fast

age is not always the best criteria for prioritiy. we have RFE's
open for several years it takes us time to get to. sometime newer RFEs
are more important/interesting (say, leveraging cloud-init or
neutron), sometime old RFEs are hard to close (get rid of storage
 pool, etc.).
its a balancing act. but its also open source, which means anyone can
try and contribute for things they would like prioritized.

I'm aware of the open source nature of the project, my way of

 Hi Yedidyah,

But If I run engine-setup and then engine-backup restore shuldn't it
import the data to the existing db created by engine-setup?
That's shown everywhere so I thought it's a valid way to migrate
 No.

There is a specific case in which this works automatically:
 All on the same host:
 1. engine-setup
 2. engine-backup --mode=backup
 (perhaps do other stuff here)
 3. engine-cleanup
 4. engine-backup --mode=restore

Why does this work? Because 'engine-cleanup', since 3.3, does not drop
the database nor user inside postgres. So when restore tries to access
this database using this user and password it succeeds.

In general, if you do the restore on another machine, and do there
 'engine-setup; engine-cleanup' as a quick-postgres-provisioning-tool,
you end up almost ready, but not quite - because the password is random,
and therefore different between the installations. In principle you could
have provided just the password to restore, but we decided that if you
need to change the credentials, you should pass all of them (except for
 defaults).

 Hope this clarifies,

Subject: [Users] snapshots not shown in webadmin on 3.3.3

 Hi,

I've updated to 3.3.3 last week and now I find that the snapshots are
not shown in webadmin. I've taken some new ones to see if it was due to
the migration, but though they finish correctly, they are not shown in
 the webadmin tab.
Is there a way to list the snapshots other than the webadmin?
 Juan
I had reproduced that in 3.4 beta 2 , can you please open a bug on that ?
 Thanks

 Eli
If this is just Web UI issue than it is known for long time. But there's
no clear reproducer (BZ was filled for RHEVM 3.3). This has something
to do with Firefox cache. With clear FF profile snapshots are visible.
But after some time when are not visible until full reload of the page.

 Rewriting /etc/ovirt-engine/engine.conf.d/10-setup-database.conf
Note: you might need to manually fix:
 - iptables/firewalld configuration
 - autostart of ovirt-engine service
You can now start the engine service and then restart httpd
 Done.

 $ engine-setup

I believe I initially created the database incorrectly (ran 'createdb
engine' as postgres user). I was getting errors during engine-setup
that indicated the database could not be accessed.

After the steps above, everything looks good.

 No.

There is a specific case in which this works automatically:
 All on the same host:
 1. engine-setup
 2. engine-backup --mode=backup
 (perhaps do other stuff here)
 3. engine-cleanup
 4. engine-backup --mode=restore

Why does this work? Because 'engine-cleanup', since 3.3, does not drop

this database using this user and password it succeeds.

Unlike engine-setup, engine-backup does nothing for you regarding
creating the database - it's basically the same as creating a database
to be used for a remote-db setup. See e.g. [1] for details, also
 'engine-backup --help'.

Firstly, thanks for putting this information up!

Some comments -

1. when you use different IP addresses for engine -to -gluster host
(say IP1) and gluster -to -gluster communication (say IP2), operations
from ovirt engine like add brick or remove brick would fail (as brick
is tried to be added with IP1 which gluster does not understand)

To work around this, it is better to use a FQDN both for registering
the host with engine and also to peer probe the host from gluster CLI.
You could have multiple IP addresses on the host resolve to the same
FQDN.

2. To reuse a brick directory, gluster provides the force option
during volume creation as well as adding bricks. This is available
from gluster 3.5 upwards.

 delete from gluster_volume_bricks where volume_id = ..;

 delete from gluster_volume_transport_types where volume_id=..;
 delete from gluster_volume_access_protocols where volume_id=..;

2014-01-30 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi Sahina,

I've tried to remove the volume also from gluster manually to see if
ovirt would set it as inactive, but nothing.
The thing now is that as I was unable to remove the gluster domain, I
decided to force remove the hole data center and to my surprise, though
it deleted the DC and all it's data, it didn't delete the volume and is
still there in volume tab depending on a non existing cluster and thus
I'm not able to do anything with it as everything fails with there's no
host in the cluster
Sounds like the destroy operation is not checking everything and leaves
things hanging in the air.
Can you help me hacking the database to remove the volume? I'm in a rush
and can't wait till this bug gets solved (didn't open a bz as I'm too
busy right now).
I have a deadline to get this working by the 10th February and won't be
at the office from 4 through 6, so you may imagine where I'm standing.
I think the hole logic of dependencies in the gluster DC (maybe more)
must be checked as since I had my gluster domain down I was unable to do
mostly anything in the DC because everything depended on each other. I
couldn't delete the domain as there where vms in it, but couldn't delete
the vms as they needed the domain. Couldn't remove the hosts as they
where bricks, but couldn't remove from the volume as the domain was
down, etc, etc

[Users] Ovirt Gluster problems

2014-01-28 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi,

I had some issues with a gluster cluster and after some time trying to
get the storage domain up or delete it (I opened a BZ about a deadlock
in the process of removing the domain) I gave up and destroyed the DC.
The thing is that I want to add the hosts that where part of the DC and
now I get that I can't as they have the volume. I try to stop the volume
but I can't as no host is running in the deleted cluster and for some
reason, ovirt needs that.
I can't delete the hosts either as they have the volume... so I'm back
in another chicken and egg problem.
Any hints??

PD: I can't nuke the hole ovirt plataform as I have another DC in

Re: [Users] networking: basic vlan help

2014-01-27 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi Mike,

I'd like to say that though setting ovirtmgmt as non vm as a default
should be nice, it won't be enough as it won't allow to use mixed
traffic in other interfaces either, so the way I see it, the fix should
be to add this ability to ovirt. I can't make my mind to think what a
big corporation may need in security restrictions, but as a small
company, I'm willing to take the risk of a hardly probable security
breach in favor of been able to use untagged and tagged vlans on the
same nic.

 1. yes, too many issues on this one, hinting we should provide better
text explaining this in the UI.

 2. the bug you referenced[1]
Bug 1049476 - [RFE] Mix untagged and tagged Logical Networks on the same NIC

is actually supported, as long as the untagged logical network is not a
VM network (so VMs associated with it would not be able to see/create
 other logical networks traffic).

 3. considering how prevalent this is, maybe we should allow doing this,
even for VM networks, with a big red warning, rather than block it,
which seems to be failing everyone.
Besides that it's technically not possible in the way we currently use the
 Linux Bridge [1],
I'm not sure what's to gain from representing a single flat network with
 multiple representations.

Seems to me like there may be a couple different points here:
 * ovirtmgmt is VM network by default - should be configurable on setup and/or
 DC creation.
If it's such a prevalent issue, we should consider a default of non VM
network (users can create a flat network and use it quite easily anyway, if
 they want).
 * if people want to represent different L3 networks on the same L2 network,
it is worthwhile to design a proper solution

Either way, I wouldn't push for allowing multiple bridged networks on the
 same physical interface (or bond).

Hi Robert,

You can use mgmt untagged but if it's a non-vm network. If you tag mgmt
network, ovirt will configure a vlan interface and add it to ovirtmgmt,
so you'll get a disruption when network gets restarted to take the changes.

Re: [Users] networking: basic vlan help

2014-01-23 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi Robert,

As I said before, you'll have network disruptions everytime you change
network topology and that's not because of ovirt but because you need to
restart network to set the new interfaces, routing tables and addresses,
etc.
This does not mean that you loose access to your hosts, if everything
goes right and you have everything set correctly, then after network
comes up, you should have access to your hosts. But if you have network
traffic, it will loose connectivity for a few seconds.
For the switch stuff, a simple switch will forward all packages
regardless of the vlan tag, so you won't need to configure anything.
These are the domestic or soho kind of switches. If you have a vlan
aware switch (most managed cheap ones have vlan features), then you'll
have to set vlans (either tagged or untagged) in the respective ports to
be able to get traffic from them.
Remember that marking a network in ovirt as a vlan network means that
it'll be accepting tagged traffic from that vlan. If you set your ports
to have a native vlan (untagged), then you should use non-vlan networks
in ovirt.

[Users] vlan on mgmt network

2014-01-16 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi William,

You can have several logical networks on the same interface. If
ovirtmgmt is not a vm network you can even mix tagged and untagged
networks (if not, you can't mix). You don's have to do anything besides
creating the logical networks in ovirt and assign them to the interface,
ovirt takes care of creating the virtual interfaces it needs.
What you can't do is have more than one logical network per vlan (I
think there's a feature request on this, I know I've asked it on the
list:-) ).

It doesn't. I made some tests and I found that it's a problem with

Re: [Users] Networking questions (LONG)

2014-01-10 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi Dan,

I take the chance to ask; why is that the untagged IF can see the
traffic of the tagged vlans? Isn't that filtered at kernel level? Is
this a virtualization design limitation or is it down to the kernel?
I don't know how the kernel processes the packages, but I thought that
packages that arrives to the nic are filtered by the kernel and sent to
the respective vif (untagged to the master interface and tagged to the
.XX interfaces). I ask because other virtualization platforms don't have
this limitation and I wonder if it's because they don't care of
because they solved this somehow.

 Hello,

I am evaluating oVirt as a replacement/alternative to VMware deployments
we typically do. I have installed and all-in-one setup on a test box
(which itself used to be an ESXi server), but it only has one NIC. I
trying to duplicate our typical configuration we do in VMware, which is
 this:

1.) we create several port groups on the vSwitch, each assigned a
 VLAN ID, such as:

   - VLAN001 (VLAN ID: 1)
   - VLAN002 (VLAN ID: 2)
   - VLAN009 (VLAN ID: 9)
   - VLAN010 (VLAN ID: 10)
   - VLAN200 (VLAN ID: 200)
   - TRUNK (VLAN ID: 4095 - in VMware-world, VLAN ID 4095 is all
VLANS and basically just passes the VLANs through to whatever is
attached to the port group for the VM to handle)

2.) We assign VMs to port groups appropriate for the VLAN they are
 part of.
3.) The only VM that has a NIC assigned to the TRUNK port group is
the firewall (which is Linux), and we create VLAN interfaces on it
 (i.e., eth1.1, eth1.2, eth1.10, eth1.200). The firewall VM acts
as the router between the various VLANs.

To replicate the above in oVirt, I created logical networks for each
VLAN, and assigned the appropriate VLAN ID. It seems oVirt/KVM does not
have an equivalent for VMware's VLAN ID of 4095, so after some
searching around, so for the TRUNK network, I left it with no VLAN
assigned. Because i cannot add VLAN and non-VLAN networks to the same
physical NIC, after some searching around, it looks like I may have to
utilise two NICS: one for the VLAN networks and one for the TRUNK network.
That is true. One non-VLAN network can in fact sit on the same NIC with
VLAN networks, but it has to be non-VM.
This was devised as a security constraint - otherwise, a VM attached to
the non-VLAN network could sniff traffic from another (VLAN) network.
However, it seems that this is exactly what you need - a special VM that
is designed to do just that.

And it's not only you: there's another recent request for lifting this
 limitation:
Bug 1049476 - [RFE] Mix untagged and tagged Logical Networks on the
 same NIC

However, I'm not sure that you in fact need a TRUNK VM network in
oVirt. If you want your firewall VM to get all traffic from the VLANs,
you could create a vNIC for each network, to which you'll attach a
profile (oVirt's equivalent of port group if I'm not mistaken) of the
corresponding network. The host can remain with just the VLAN networks
attached to its NICs, without a designated TRUNK.

This way the firewall VM will get something like eth1 for VLAN 1,
eth2 for VLAN 200 and so forth, which might be close enough to what
you described on your previous setup (oVirt currently doesn't allow
creating VLANs inside VMs). And if I correctly understood your needs it
will save you the trouble you described below (well, you would need the
 one dummy interface).

Because, at this point, I am not yet concerned with making the test VMs
I will be setting up be accessible from outside the virtual lab
environment (i.e., everything will communicate within my oVirt
server/network for now), I am trying to make use of dummy interfaces,
but I am not sure the best way to make use of this. I am able to create
the dummy* interfaces and have them show up in oVirt, but I am not sure
of how they should be setup. Here is what I am *thinking* should be
done, but want to make sure it is correct before getting too deep:

   - I will use the physical NIC for management, therefore the
ovirtmgmt bridge with eth0 assigned to it will remain as-is
   - Create two dummy interfaces: dummy0 and dummy1
   - Create a new bridge, ovirtvm and assign dummy0 and dummy1 to it
This is something that currently can't be done from within the oVirt
engine, but if my above suggestion works for you then it won't be needed.

   - Attach the VLAN-enabled networks to dummy0
   - Attach the TRUNK network to dummy1
I do not understand what you are trying to do with dummy devices (after
all, they are not going to send any packet anywhere).

But if you are willing to mess with network configuration under the feet
of oVirt, you could do the following:
 - create a network tagged with an id that is not really used in your

instance, if I choose a particular item into a category (host, vm, etc)
in the left tree, the right frame does not change, I have to choose the
group (hosts, vms, etc) and choose the particular item among all the
listed in the right frame. I've checked and firefox 22 on windows has
the same behavior. This started to happen after I upgraded from 3.3.0 to
3.3.1 but never saw the lack of the sync option until now.
My machine currently isn't in a state to test these things on different
versions of Firefox. If you can pin-point exactly on what versions this
occurs, I would greatly appreciate it if you could open a bug about it
in bugzilla.redhat.com and I'll try to get it fixed.

It does sound that it's only a graphical issue that's causing the
checkbox to be hidden. So as an immediate workaround, you could use
either the Firefox web developer tools or the Firebug plugin to enlarge
the dialog and panels enough so that the checkbox shows, then mark it
and have the networks synchronized. Please let me know if that works for
 you.
I'll open a bug then. The versions I tested were on the last mail, I'll
put that in the bug also.
My work arround was simpler, just did it with chrome :-)
Anyway, this fix only the sync stuff, not the need of modifying the
ovirtmgmt to be again a tagged network. Is there a hack to the db or
something like that I can do to set this back without destroing the hole
DC (which I can't do either because of a dead lock with the flow of
dependencies in ovirt and opened a BZ for that).
 Regards,

Can't you edit the management network to be VLAN-tagged, and then when
it appears as out-of-sync on the host mark it to be synchronized?

Webadmin won't let me as it's been used in hosts (tried). It's not
allowed until 3.4 as I understand.

Ahhh yes, I recall the problem now (thought it might be possible as long
as it isn't attached to VMs). You could indeed hack the DB. Setting the
proper VLAN tag for ovirtmgmt in the network table should suffice
(assuming the VLAN interfaces are still intact on the hosts, as I deduce
from ovirtmgmt being marked as out-of-sync).

 Yours, Lior.

Ok, so far I found that ovirtmgmt lost it's vlan tag configuration. If I
try to put it back, I get and error because the LN is attached to hosts.
I can't detach it as the engine won't let me. If I try to delete the

this is frustrating...
Is there a way to fix this without destroing the hole DC?

I have the same problem and already have mentioned that in previous

set the host ip manually on top of a vlan interface and the, after ovirt
does install the node, it fails to finish as it can't manage properly to

active I can't change the version, how should I get rid of the v3
limitation on this existing domain?
Can someone tell me why ovirt defaults v3 and not 4? is it something to
do with existing bugs or limitations?
Can you please put as much energy in make things easier as you put in
new features? Not a critic but a request.

this worked for me after default install that, as you already wrote,
doesn't allow to have anything but the ovirtmgmt.
Of course it needs downtime... suboptimal...
 see this thread of mine:
 http://lists.ovirt.org/pipermail/users/2013-October/016891.html

Using ovirtmgmt I had problems with cluster due to ovirtmgmt saturated
if I had heavy I/O on VMs (so network bandwith from gluster point of
view)... with hosts going into non operational status.
 No problem after changing network.

following

that pointed a solution for a possible bug in gluster 3.4 I managed to

restarting glusterd made it possible)

Contrary to my other post, which was more educational than practical,
yes, you generally would not back up app data via a hypervisor
snapshot. Generally you would only backup the OS disk and perhaps the
application binaries. This would be for quick restore of the OS and
app, so you don't have to spend hours reconfiguring your OS.
 (especially Windows based OSes)

I also do an IN OS backup as well, for individual file restores in the
instances you accidentally destroy something in /etc for example.

Re: [Users] simple networking?

2013-12-02 Thread Juan Pablo Lorier
Hi Ted,

I've lost the beggining of the thread so excuse me if I'm wrong about
the topic.
Do you want to get all the vms and host in the same subnet as the rest
of your lan or the hole collision domain?
When you create the logical networks (LN) in ovirt you can check if they
are required or not. If you decide that all your hosts must give access
to some subnet for vm use, you can create a LN, mark it as required in
your data center (DC) and configure it in every host you have in the dc.
Then you have two choices, if you just want the vms to access that
subnet, add it to the host without configuring the ip on the host and
you'll just get a bridge for vm use. If you want the host to use the
bridge also, configure the ip and you'll get both, vms and host to be in
the subnet.
If what you need is to get every vm access to the hole collision domain,
then I don't think you can do it in ovirt as you get a bridge for every
logical network and if you have both, tagged and untagged vlan traffic,
you won't be able use the same nic (or bond) to place mixed LNs (a
limitation I've rised but yet haven't been resolved).
Hope this helps.

the VMs tab says Crear una toma de pantalla referring to create a
snapshot but that is an incorrect translation in my opinion as it's not
related to the screen in first place, and though there's no literal
translation for the technical term, it should be more like Crear una
instantánea or what should be better, Crear un snapshot and it would
be correct as when you say whisky instead of licor de cebada of
football instead of balón pie ... :-)

Currently we do not update the size of the LUN in the db.
Please file a bug on this as in 3.3 we already retrieve the lun info on
activation of domain so it's a simple matter of updating the db when the data
 changes.

I did try to put the sd to maintenance and back to active as Eduardo

try again with engine 3.3 to see if it behaves the same way.
I'll let you know the results.

No such centralized mechanism exists within ovirt. However you could use
the likes of puppet to do that, or write a short before_vdsm_start hook
 that pulls multipath.conf from a well-known location.

The thing is that export doesn't copy the direct lun. About snapshots,
can it be done if the lun has lvm? I used to make a sort of live backup
using lvm snapshots with this luns, maybe this can be done within ovirt
