For a better understanding of these options log in SOGo and right click on your personal calendar, choose user rights and double click on, e.g., authorized users. There you'll see private, confidential and public. The second part of the possible strings for SOGoCalendarDefaultRoles can be found in the drop down menu. Now make an appointment in your calendar. At the top of the newly opened window chose Privacy, there you can choose whether it will be a public, confidential or private appointment. If I am correct, these options, like PublicViewer, define the preferences for everyone, authorized users and the public, who want to have access to the calendar. We have tried tinkering with it some to get it compatible with other devices like Android and AstraSync client for Blackberry devices but the person who put it together is no longer answering emails for about a year now. Basically I am wondering if this is still in the works. Since we are a state agency we have to have our mobile users connect their devices only to port 80 or 443 since that is all that is allowed from the outside. This means we have to use ActiveSync. No, that is not true, you can very well use caldav and cardav for this, they also go over http/https. We use these android clients with very good results http://dmfs.org/ For iOS we use the native cal/cardav functionality too. The problems with activesync are: - The different ActiveSync clients behave differently - The zPush support is working only partially (Also with other backends) - Caldav and Cardav are the native protocols of Sogo, so all extensions (zPush, Funambol) add another layer with potentially problems in it My recommendation is to use email via activesync (if your fw admin is braindead that he blocks imap/smtp) and caldav/cardav for everything else. For example : if the name match ^[a-i]* go to old server if the name match ^[j-z]* go to second new server. etc... or if the user is student go to old server if the user is staff go to the new server Meaning you can more easily manage you mail storage. Don't known if I answer you question. Regards. But he (python-vobject) say to me the COMPLETED:20110222 is not right time format. He want something like COMPLETED:20100316T184344Z Who right ? SOGo ? or vobject ? Thanks JAS -- Albert SHIH DIO batiment 15 Observatoire de Paris Meudon 5 Place Jules Janssen 92195 Meudon Cedex Téléphone : 01 45 07 76 26/06 86 69 95 71 Heure local/Local time: mar 15 nov 2011 22:51:35 CET -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: Re: Re: [SOGo] CalDAV on iOS 5 and new 1.3.9 installation
BTW, I am following the vhost apache setup as detailed on page 42/43 of the admin guide on port 443 (and 8443). It turns out that this was my problem: I was using the wrong apache setup. Once I changed this to match the stock SOGo.conf settings everything worked fine on iPhone (iOS5.x). Also, the OPTIONS 401 I kept seeing in the logs -- I still get these, and turning on the extra logging simply shows that anonymous access fails first but the next try using authentication succeeds. There doesn't seem to be any impact of this that I can see so far. Thanks for the help all. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] Ubuntu 11.04, SOGo 1.3.9 and OpenLDAP 2.3
Dear reader, I have a problem which I can not fix at the moment. 1) I have installed Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit server. This Ubuntu version is supported by SOGo 1.3.9 2) The documentation of SOGo 1.3.9 says: use OpenLDAP 2.3 or later. But within Ubuntu 11.04 there is OpenLDAP 2.2. 3) The other requirement components are no problem. 4) On the Internet I only found that OpenLDAP 2.3 is experimental within Ubuntu. Question: ?: Who can advise me the use of OpenLDAP 2.3 or a replacement which is available within Ubuntu 11.04? Kind regards, Marcel Blom -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
