For now I am accessing Hulu on my desktop computer. However I like using my

help with getting to next level of duolingo?

2017-09-11 Thread Anouk Radix
Hi, I started using duolingo italian (from English to ialian) today and the
first level went really well (basics I ) really accessible. Now however I have
completed that and need to select basics II as that does not seem to be done
automatically and I just and up in a list of a lot of categories and 3
unlabeled butttons (test out of 7 skills and things like that) but pressing
that first button does not seem to get me to the category i want and
doubletapping basics ii does not do it either. Tapping basics I just shows me
that I ahve completed that and does not let me ocntinue to the next lesson.
Can someone explain to me how I can proceed furhter?
Thanks in advance,
Greetings, Anouk,

I tried to cancel my subscription yesterday. When they ask why I told them.
They gave me a month free. Let's see what happens during this month. If they
don't fix it, I will definitely cancel it. I can't use it at all.

Lisa, I am so disappointed. I had updated the app but had not looked at
it. It appears to be totally in accessible.
instead of having a Watch list you now have my stuff. Anything you tap on
you can't read any of the results. I am really thinking about canceling
it. I have had it for at least five years and had no problems up until now.
I hadn't used it for a while because I mainly use it with the new shows
Everything was re runs so I just was waiting until the new season. Oh well.

Re: Trouble with Outlook, Braille Screen Input on iPhone 7

2017-09-11 Thread Robert Hill
 hi,

I have reported this since version 2.16.
The last message from their tech support was that they still don't have it
working.

At this point I'm back to using Apple's mail app, and I'll probably download
Outlook again in awhile and see what's happening with it.

I am having The same problem and I even updated the app recently. It stays in
screen output until I start typing and then it switches to portrait. It will
not stay in braille screen input. I'm sorry this is a problem but we should
report it to outlook. .

Subject: Trouble with Outlook, Braille Screen Input on iPhone 7

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use Outlook email on an iPhone 7 with Braille Screen Input.
I am running iOS version 10.3.3, and Outlook version 2.39.0.

When using Braille Screen Input, I can enter the recipient’s address, and the
email subject with no problems.

However, whenever I go to the composition area, the keystrokes I enter are not
displayed.
What I see is the signature at the bottom, and it is spoken that my cursor is
at location “such and such, indicating that my cursor has moved, but no
characters are displayed.

I am wondering if anyone else is having this type of issue.

I like the app, but really would not have to use the onscreen keyboard, or have
to purchase a bluetooth keyboard to compose messages.

If anyone else is having this kind of issue please let me know, or if you have
a solution, please pass this along too.

Thanks.

Tried to repair the keyboard. That might help. Otherwise, I have no idea. I
have the same problem with a keyboard that I bought from speed dots. I'm still
confused with that one also. Anyway, hope that will help you.

Subject: This darn keyboard

Hello everyone,

I am still having trouble with my keyboard buddy case. It is on a 5S I
got not too long ago. I am used to having the little issue where you
just re-start Voiceover. That's annoying, but something iiI can live with.

However, this is the same keyboard that is now on another 5S. It didn't
act like this on the other 5S.

But whenever I try to type, most of the time it wants to put in double
letters.

For instance, if I want to write the word, it will likely put, A, P, pP,
P, L, E.

sometimes I think it's even worse than that.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be going on. This thing is
really annoying, and it's frustrating me. It's slowing my typing down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Terri

Hey guys, this is all extremely helpful. So i'll tell you all about why i am
using lift and uber more. I was basicly forced into it. My ADA ride service
decided to pull a fast 1. When i moved into my house
4 years ago, they told me that i was in a good location for the ride.
Conveeniently 3 months later, they changed the bus routes, so it made my home
no longer able to get ADA service. I basicly threw at them, so how am i
supposed to get to work? They decided to honor it. So now they hit me
yesterday where if i wanna go any place other than work i have to meet the ride
at a certainly location. So now it's a case of now i have to get a ride to get
ride. Makes a lot of sense, right? Anyone else delt with anything similar,
and what course of action do we have? Jeez, it's hard enough getting around
for any of us.

Cheers,
Jed

RE: thermostat

2017-09-11 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
There are at least 4 of them, The one from www.RadioThermostat.com, the Nest
connected thermostat, one from Honeywell and the Ecobee which you can buy also
on the Apple Store online.
I have had the Radio Thermostat both at home and at my retail store for years
and it works well and the app is accessible with a few quirks, but if I had to
replace it I would most likely choose the one from Ecobee as it is the only one
I know of that is Homekit compatible which means you can just tell SIRI to
change your temperature and so on. This of course would be subject to the app
being accessible which I don't know.
Of course if you are invested in an Amazon Echo or Google Home then you may not
care since the Nest Thermostat can be voice controlled via those devices.
I suggest you go to the list archieve if you want to read a bit more about
this, just type "Thermostat" into the search box and then start at the top of
the page and use the quick nav key "3" as all search results are heading level
3. You instantly find recent discussions on the Honeywell, Radio Thermostat and
Nest, somebody even had a Radio Thermostat for sale not long ago.
I don't think I have ever seen any posts here about the Ecobee which is one of
the more expensive options, but the Nest is also not cheap, if price is an
issue then the Radio Thermostat is probably your best choice, I think you can
buy it at Home Depot for $99.

Sieghard

The more people who write a negative review, the better. At last check,
there were 63% one star reviews for the app from people saying the same type
of things we were, only from a sighted perspective. Many have already
canceled their accounts. Historically, though, this company doesn't seem to
have a good track record of listening to customer feedback. Let's hope they
see the light or at least the lost dollar signs this time.

I can think of many stores, shops and service providers; with garbage

How listen to audio on websites?

I have some websites that I use to watch sports events on tv channels. I watch

Also, I think I might be interested in the Blindfold games. But I wish
voiceover didn't have to be turned off, in order for it to work.

So I like games such as Talking Stones, I have Dice World. I am willing
to try the Blindfold games.

I like that game that was called Word Association II, or something like
that.

I'd like some different card games.

Maybe some games where you have to build things, to get what you want?

Or something where you had to line up stuff.

Does this make sense to any of you. If so, can some of you please help
me out.

I will say that I don't care for text adventure games.

Thank you,

Terri

I don't understand why they do that either. It really is very annoying.

 Hi, all.

I'm using an iPhone SE with iOS 10.3.3 and the latest version of Hulu
issued Wednesday. This is version 5.6. Since updating this app I can't
get past the first screen. It tells me to swipe to get started, and then
there are four pages which I can move to, but I can't get any additional
info about the app or it's programming. I've been a hulu subscriber for a
while, and their recent offerings have been fine as far as accessibility
goes. I'm wondering if there's a workaround, such as turning VO off and
tapping on something to get past this introductory screen. I can't tell
if there's something even on the screen, but I'm assuming there is
something but VO can only read that small part of it.

 TIA for the help/info.
