OK awesome, that worked. I was able to get them paired. The only thing that was
wrong, what's the timing. I had to hold the button down for about 30 seconds
before my phone saw them.

Sure, place your Airpod Pro's in their case. Open the case without taking out
the Airpod Pro's. Hold the round button in for about ten seconds to place them
in pairing mode.

Now, on your Android phone, go into Settings -> Connectivity -> Bluetooth and
look for your Airpod Pro's. You may need to double tap on the scan button at
the top before they'll show up.

Hi Joseph and all,

Joseph, have you tried resesting your airPod pros by pressing and holding the
little button on the back of the Case for about 10 seconds or so? This should
bring them back to pairing mode. Don't know if you have tried that or not.
Also, I tried a third-party cable and no go.

Re: Re[2]: Apple Airpods Pro Max

2021-02-13 Thread Andy Baracco
On the Tech Doctor podcast they were pretty strong in admonishing that one
should not wear them outside. I recall watching a video concerning regular
Airpods where the person recommended against wearing them outside, but I think
that had more to do with the risk of losing them.

I’m sure that’s true, but not being water proof isn’t the same thing as the
statement that they shouldn’t be used outside. I have plenty of devices that
aren’t water proof that I use outside all of the time. I just don’t get them
wet.

The part that can be damaged by water are the metal structures around the ear
cups. As for the ear cups, they are easily removed and replaced, which is
another thing that seems attractive to me.

Airpod Max is ment for indoor use. There will be released an outdoor
version soon. Rumours. Probably waterproof to use when it rain. Maybe not when
swimming in the ocean.

I will get one. At the moment i am using Bose 700. With Trek. Usually
cabled. If i want bluetooth works. If problems connecting i remove Bose and
start from the beginning again. Usually it works. Somebody hacks my Blind
Square on my iphone. Therefore Trek should be useful and it indeed was in the
beginning. No at times they ar able to hack Trek too. Even when i use cabled
connection. Whit wireless turned off. Go figure. Something strange is happening
in this world. In europe, america, africa. All over the worlds countries. Just
have to wait and see what happens. I am not the only one that feel something
strange is going on.

Re: Apple Airpods Pro Max

2021-02-13 Thread Andy Baracco
The problem with pairing Airpods is that you have to pair them while they are
in the case. You pair the Airpods pro max by pressing on the volume control
which is on the headset itself, so the process may be easier. I haven't
decided for sure whether or not I'll get them. Even though I could afford it,
i have a hard time wrapping my head, so to speak, around spending that much
money for headphones, especially when they are not water resistant.
But the Tech Doctors really like them.

Airpod Max is ment for indoor use. There will be released an outdoor version
soon. Rumours. Probably waterproof to use when it rain. Maybe not when swimming
in the ocean.

I will get one. At the moment i am using Bose 700. With Trek. Usually cabled.
If i want bluetooth works. If problems connecting i remove Bose and start from
the beginning again. Usually it works. Somebody hacks my Blind Square on my
iphone. Therefore Trek should be useful and it indeed was in the beginning. No
at times they ar able to hack Trek too. Even when i use cabled connection. Whit
wireless turned off. Go figure. Something strange is happening in this world.
In europe, america, africa. All over the worlds countries. Just have to wait
and see what happens. I am not the only one that feel something strange is
going on.

I am considering buying the Airpods pro Max. My question is can you pair
them with a non Apple device like a Victor Reader Trek? I have the original
Airpods, and even though they show as being paired with my Victor Reader Trek,
they will not play content sent to them via bluetooth.

Actually, there are two things needed to connect to non Bluetooth devices. One

What sort of cable is used to connect via wire to a Victor device? This could

I love these things. They fit my ears really well, and though they feel heavy
at first, once they are on my head, they fit wonderfully. I also do not see why
you could not use them outdoors. The ear cups are not water proof, but the
outside of them is made with illuminum. I think they are cool, but again you
have to be looking at the price as well to see if they will fit comfortably.
You can get a cable from apple to wire your victor readers and that with them.
It does not come with it though. It should if you ask me.

Re: Apple Airpods Pro Max

2021-02-13 Thread Terje Strømberg
Airpod Max is ment for indoor use. There will be released an outdoor
version soon. Rumours. Probably waterproof to use when it rain. Maybe not
when swimming in the ocean.

I will get one. At the moment i am using Bose 700. With Trek. Usually
cabled. If i want bluetooth works. If problems connecting i remove Bose and
start from the beginning again. Usually it works. Somebody hacks my Blind
Square on my iphone. Therefore Trek should be useful and it indeed was in
the beginning. No at times they ar able to hack Trek too. Even when i use
cabled connection. Whit wireless turned off. Go figure. Something strange
is happening in this world. In europe, america, africa. All over the
worlds countries. Just have to wait and see what happens. I am not the only
one that feel something strange is going on.

Take care

Re: Apple Airpods Pro Max

2021-02-12 Thread Brad Snyder
I’m sure it has to do with the Bluetooth radios used in the Streams 2nd
Generation and Treks.
These devices use really old technology, that hasn't updated since the devices
were introduced many years ago, and were not state of the art even then.
Apple on the other hand, uses current state of the art technology, and always
has been a leader in the industry.

I've paired my Airpod Pros with non-Apple devices, like my Android phone and my

My understanding is that, yes, the AirPods Pro Max can pair with non-Apple
devices. However, if you have a problem pairing your original AirPods with
your Trek, I would expect you will also have a problem pairing any other AirPod
model with the Trek as well.
